Hello All
Welcome to all the Newbies

Glad you had a great holiday TMH

Thanks for the reassurance RR DH thinks that the school are wanting to polish him too soon. Ed also seems to be one of those kids who will only show you he can do something when he knows he can do it really well IYKWIM

What a day! I've only just stopped. I got up at 8 and

Showered
Clean teeth
Clean Loo (Not with toothbrush {grin]
S&S sink
downstairs with laundry
Tidy out sink
Load and run DW
Load and run WM
Make breakfast
Serve breakfast
Get Ed washed and dressed
Take him to rugby training (at the stadium, some of the proffessionals took a session
Walk into town (without my stick
Home
Clean out cat cellar
Reline floor with paper and sawdust
Bring soiled stuff up and put in grey bin
Empty DW
Put away
Empty WM
Sort for drying
Hang up to dry
Strip bed
Load WM with white load and run
Re-make Bed
Vac downstairs
Mop downstairs
Mop bathroom
STOP

I'm testing that the re-made bed is satisfactory I deserve a rest after all that.

Yesterday afternoon was crackers. Ed moved everything (inc the big rug) off the floor and got his trainset out and built a track and docks 1st time he's ever done that. Then we went for a long promised pub lunch. Ed has a huge meal then wanted a dessert and after I ordered it he goes quiet and strange. Then he feels sick, I get him to the loo in time, is ill, wants to go home to see teddy and blanket, go to bed, can't go to rugby training in the evening

Too late to cancel dessert so we leave it on the bar and then he says he feels better and would like his cake and ice cream . Lazarus like he polishes it off and says 'Lets go to rugby'. (! what was the last 20 mins about?)

So an hour of training, walk to Tesco, weekly shopping, Home, rebuild the front room, make Ed a snack tea, shower, bed for Ed and Mum and Dad time

I'm really tired if I think about the last 24 hrs.

Will catch up with the thread now. TTFN

Hello everyone and welcome newbies.

DD's enjoyed the school summer fete. Bith had their faces painted.

I have spent all afternoon doing one coat of paint in DS2's new room. Hopefully i can get the 2nd coat done later.
Futon mattress is a bit thin! Like sleeping on the floor nearly! But hopefully i will get used to it. At least i don't have to suffer with the light shining in my room from the light i have to leave on upstairs!

dylsmum1998 · 28/06/2008 17:16

tort could you lay a spare duvet ovre the futon mattress then sleep on that? might make it a bit thicker, i have done this on my mattress as i need a new one and the duvet stops the springs poking me all night long!

GO eds only young poor lad schools sodding government want to much too soon off babies now por little things (pet rant of mine!!)

have just had a wander down the charity shops and got the old version of mousetrap, the one we had s kids. for 95pence. but alas when we got it home has no instrictions can anyone help- we have built it but i cant rememebr the rules

Dyls I was wondering about one of those memory foam mattress toppers. I slept ok so it can't have been too bad.
No idea about mouse trap. Try googling mouse trap instructions. Might be some about.

Hello Newbies

GO My BF is having this issue with her 6 year old, school referred to Phy ed, who refered to GP, who said it was all fine and that he would not refer to a paed as he was a bright 6 year old who was just lacking in some motor skills and gave her a list of things to try with him and suggested a wii

I will ask what she does with him. She was so upset, doesnt hell that before she had the boys she taught 7 - 11 year olds

Flying is really paying off in TheMadHOuse

grouchyoscar · 28/06/2008 20:18

TMH I've already had Ed to the GP about problems that are indicative of problems with the inner ear. GP checked, no probs. He was doing great passes at his training session today so? Why do the school want to make you paranoid?

Harrrumpf

He's OK, He's been fed, showered and he's in our bed watching The Incredibles. They'll want to tell me that's wrong next.

Cheers for the support and sympathies

rowingboat · 28/06/2008 22:48

Hi there,
I have heard of the fly lady before and am curious. Does it include things that aren't housework related as well, like a kind of life coach. I find that I don't have time to plan goals properly, probably because I am on the computer.
Have you found you can think about long term goals better now you use these techniques?
I am too tired now, but I will have a look at the flylady site tomorrow.

EustaciaVye · 29/06/2008 07:02

rowing boat. Hello. It should help you get things a bit more on track yes. Give it a try, nothing to lose.
