Yey, I got a label maker a while ago and I found out you can get cable labels so I’m planning on getting some, at the moment there’s a bit of paper label round each one but they are getting scrappy.

Hettie 🤣 I'm actually loving how everyone's DH and DC are quietly picking up the declutter vibes.

Donated:
One pair of shoes that fits nobody here.
Jumper, top, shorts and blouse that are all a little too small for me and don't hang right.
Binned:
Four bits of wood from the garden and a knackered flower garland.

I'm still tackling my massive Vinted pile. Listed some stuff, sold some stuff, charity shoped some stuff that didn't sell

Charity shop: 3x trousers, cardigan, coat, bracelet, 2x oven dishes, under desk excercise bike
Bin / recycling: socks, pants, paint roller
Vinted/sold locally: 3x dress, bag, 3x tops, box of lego

Total: 1110

Posted out 1 dress, 1 wallet & 1 pair of jeans. Only made £6 but it all adds up. Still going through the toiletries box to use up before I buy any more.

Gave away 3 huge bags of kids’ clothes - I’d say easily 100 items plus 7 books and a toy sold on Vinted.

We're packing the very warmest winter stuff away today - DH has promised to look through his wardrobe too. He's pretty minimalist but he's also lost a bit of weight this winter

Sold more books on Vinted. Shredded more old paperwork.

No more Vinted sales. I declined a ridiculously low offer someone made on an item but di go back with my own reduced offer. I'll usually drop around 25% but I already list at a low price to shift things so begrudge such low offers.
DP finally put the stuff he brought home from his dad's away. He took some bits to the dump including a bag of shredded paper, bag of textiles, garden waste and a dead electric toothbrush which I'd got together this week.
Work picks up from this week so I won't have as much time but next items I'd like to go are some toys to a local charity/second hand toy shop.

Listed a few things on Vinted and sold two items and dropped off earlier. Anything unsold by Tuesday will go to the chazza as I need to drop off stuff to the dry cleaner's next door.

Also out: 2 school jumpers donated, 2 small plastic toys, a kinetic sand set

Ins: book (promotional, arrived to dh) new shoes for dc, storage basket for dc room for overflow teddies, 2 birthday presents for dc waiting for summer

Counting ins has been so eye-opening after years of decluttering. So much stuff just flows in

I feel overwhelmed again 😢 - really think I need help for an online shopping addiction. Two brooches & a dress arrived from Vinted recently & last night I ordered a formal Per Una dress which I don’t need as we rarely go to weddings etc & yet another brooch. I have a bulging wardrobe of clothes & enough jewellery to start my own shop.
One thing that has made me feel slightly better is DH offered to iron some things (hopefully getting a new one this week) so that I can re -photograph them & have more appealing posts on Vinted. I have a lot on there but some of it is not even being looked at. Plus I need to photograph some items from the charity shop. I did tell myself I’d stop buying from there but my nearest one is brilliant. They get such good stuff in & sometimes price very low for top labels.

I don't count the ins, but really should. 3 more bags to take to charity shop today.

They've actually been hanging around for a couple of weeks so I need to get rid of them ASAP.

One box of stationery has gone to local school holiday club.

Sold some stuff on vinted. I was going to clear out the old stuff to the charity shop, but then something old sold so now I'm dithering!

More stuff from the charity shop this morning! Got a stunning Per Una embroidered evening top for around £4 & quite a few other reduced items. A lot of my rings, including some quite expensive TJC ones, are too big for me so I will photograph them & post on Vinted later. Earn back some of the charity spends!

Hmm maybe cut yourself off cold from even going to the charity shop? This morning pu said you bought a formal dress with no event to go to, and this afternoon an evening top. Good deals are only good deals when you need something, otherwise it's just money sitting in the wardrobe,or that's how I see it. I just don't browse anymore at all.

Out today: 2 Vinted sales, a pair of very old shoes finally in bin, 2 small old travel toiletries emptied and recycled, kidswellies given away.

@Pigtailsandall the charity shop stuff is nearly all to put on Vinted. I keep the odd piece but have made a fair profit.

I had a week off work at the start of April, and managed to get some decluttering done. Did a quick sort through my clothes and put two pairs of PJs, 9 pairs of knickers, and a pair of socks in the textile recycling (cancelling out the new PJs and underwear I bought earlier in the year. I also did a sort through the bags of stuff at the bottom of DD’s wardrobe and got rid of the following :

• Three coats to offer to my cousin for her youngest
• One cost listed on Vinted
• One pair wellies to donate to school
• Pair of school shoes gone in charity bag

The wardrobe looks much tidier now.

I also listed four new items on Vinted (already counted), and sold one of them, so used up some packaging to post it, and dropped the charity bag off so things have left the house.

Yesterday I sorted through the bathroom cupboard and have thrown out three bottles of cleanser/ moisturiser that I wasn’t going to use.

So it’s felt fairly productive, but there have been several ins as it was my birthday then DD’s birthday. I haven’t counted it all up yet, but it’s probably more than the outs…

I posted 12 kids clothing items on Vinted today and 6 sold! Have packaged up in recycled (hoarded) packaging from my own purchases. Ready to ship tomorrow. Anyone else hoard Jiffy bags etc? I hate throwing them away because I will eventually use them

Ragbag - three ancient odd gloves, one ratty earmuffs.

Donate - one outgrown grey zip-up.

Moved some children’s books in the hope that having them out of place will make it easier to make decisions. Ended up reading a couple of them.
