Well done @LR47 that's amazing work! Thank you for your encouragement along the way ❤️ And Merry Christmas to you too
Hello @Todayisanewbeginningyou're very welcome here😊
Amongst other general decluttering over the last couple of days, I roped DH into finally clearing through the bureau. It's been his work related dumping ground since lockdown. We got rid of so much, gave it a good clean and now the drawers all close and you can open the front without stuff falling all over. We also found a missing power bank and the code for DDs bike lock🤣
Outs:
Charity shop: tote bag, book, apple merch, 3 badges, pack of photo paper, pretty note paper, collagen, 2x packs of labels, pack of dividers
Bin / recycling: holey sock, 3x Sim trays, 4x boxes of OOD COVID tests, test tube holder, embroidery kit left overs, 12x run out pens,4 oversized novelty paperclips, pencil sharpener, wool,8 crafting pipettes, 2x glow sticks,2x pencil, shoelaces, OOD medicine, whiteboard markers, collection of uselessly small zip lock bags, collection of stickers, hair bobble, 2x lanyard, posh fountain pen presentation box, ribbon, collection of envelopes that no longer stick, collection of papers with random 'important' notes and numbers, work branded coaster, book, set square, pair of ear buds, hair dye I'm never going to use,2 useful boxes, 3 old notes pads
Vinted/sold locally: jumper, 2xbook
Total 😁😁😁🎉🥳😁2079😁🥳🎉😁😁😁
There is still more work to be done. I haven't touched the loft yet. Mine and DH's clothes are an ongoing battle. I have cupboards full of sentimental or 'useful' stuff - books, china, knicknacks, novelty mugs, multiple filling cabinets of 'important' paperwork going back 30 years...
But if you walked into the house today, everything has a home, there's barely any surface clutter and it looks very tidy.
Who knows if I'll find 2026 to get rid of next year, but I'll stick around and have a go 😁
