Morning Luda

Dh is taking the kids to see Thomas the tank at a railway centre about 45mins away so I'm going to take some time and sort through their wardrobes to see what we need more of ready for the summer.

Off for a shower now, back later x

Ludaloo · 12/04/2008 08:33

Janni hope you are feeling less grumpy now

I woke up and as usual haven't even had a chance to think about what I'm doing today at all! All 3 kids nag me immedietly for squash, toast, weetabix...then DH calls down to ask if I can put the kettle on...make a bacon buttie and have I seen his hat?
I hate it! I can barely focus let alone make 4 people different breakfasts/drinks!
The kids are even worse as all 3 have different things on their toast...different cereals and of course different bowls and plates!

Anyway....dh has gone to a rally for the day, which means I am without the car so will have to figure out something to do if the weather stays ok.

x-posts bianca good morning, that sounds brilliant! The kids will like that, and you get some nice peace and quiet
I need to sort out DD1's wardrobe...she has nothing at all for summer....DS and DD2 always have loads of clothes...DD2 gets lots from my friend who's DD2 is about a year older, and DS gets lots of clothes from my SIL who's DS1 is 2 years older....so they are both fine. DD1 doesn't get any hand me downs, so she is in desperate need of stuff....especially things for summer.
She has just had a bit of a growth spurt too, so I have given a lot of her stuff to my friend for her DD2!
My poor kids! a proper "hand me down" lot! Lolol!!

Ludaloo · 12/04/2008 08:55

Oh and thanks to those that said about my heater....it is fixed now....so it was baths all round for us last night!
That reminds me....have to put all the stuff back in the airing cupboard which is currently piled high on the spare bed!

Hello everyone

Seems like i haven't posted on here for ages. When the computer crashed we lost everything, including all the photos for last year,i.e. virtually all ds's that i had forgotten to back-up, and my routines. FLYing has been plodding along at it's usual slow pace. Am hoping re-writing my routines and posting on here will give me the motivation i need to get going again.
BTW as of thurs ds is now walking loads and we are on school holiday he's havign lots of chance to practise.

Hope everyone is doing ok, i have been lurking.
Luda glad your heatrer has been mended, can't imagine anything worse than dirty dc's and no bath, or is it just my ds who covers himself with food every meal time
Bianca hope you enjoy the peace and your dc's have a lovely time at the railway centre.
Janni hope you r feelign happier now.

Had better get my brain in gear and start re doing my routines while ds is having his nap.

BiancaCastafiore · 12/04/2008 10:45

Hi Shanna nice to have you back Sorry to hear about the computer and lost photos

Dh and dd have gone off to run some errands to the bank. They'll be going to the Railway Centre after an early lunch. The weather was lovely earlier but is looking like rain now so I hope they are able to go without getting rained on too much.

I wish we had some hand-me-downs Luda. We had some lovely bits and pieces from Jas and Simply but they're mostly still a little on the large side so I suspect we'll need to get dd some bits and pieces this year. I always buy her summer skirts long for the first year then they can be worn shorter the 2nd year but I think she's out-grown a lot lately. They've both had huge growth spurts over the past few months.
Ds is really short of most clothes, esp trousers.
I'm going to start on the wardrobes as soon as they all go out. Before that I'm washing teh bedding and having a general tidy up while being shown all sorts of fasinating star wars related things on the lego website

sagacious · 12/04/2008 10:56

Morning !
Welcome back shanna luda my two (plus dh) are the same .. I feel like a short order cook sometimes its constant

Dh has taken the dc's to football practice so I have an hour and a half to get on and do stuff .. so thats why i'm on here

Its DD's 4th birthday tommorrow and we're having a party here so lots to do

I will have a cup of tea first then 45 mins solid work

sagacious · 12/04/2008 11:27

I have moved the toys out of the study
Unloaded the dishwasher
hot spotted the bathroom

FunkyGlassSocks · 12/04/2008 11:41

With DHs help I have cleaned and hoovered the entire ground floor of the house today. Didnt take too long and to reward ourselves we are having a full fry up for lunch

sagacious · 12/04/2008 11:56

mmmmmm fry up

I have:
Watered houseplants
Watered the garden
Made the beds
Wrapped up present for party DD attending this afternoon
Had a shower

Still haven't had that cup of tea !

DontDreamItBeIt · 12/04/2008 12:47

Morning[smile
Welcome back Shanna....sorry about the lost phtos though. I still haven'tdone anything about backing up all mine. That will have o be my job of the week.

I don't think I bought any summer clothes for the dds las year, and they are reallly in need of more stuff. DD1 has her own style now, so even if I get the chance of hand-me-downs she often doesn't like them.DD2 is insisting on wearing too small clothes because she likes themI'll have to have asort and shop soon. If there is anything ok to hand on, I'll let you have a look before I charity shop it Bianca. Luda - Glad your heating is sorted

Saga - You've been busy. I'll try and follow your lead and get moving.

So far I've changed our bed, washed two loads, and dug up the root of the dead bush and replanted a Jasmine in its place.

I've also been out with dp and chosen some rimless glasses. They were very expensive

BiancaCastafiore · 12/04/2008 12:58

Thanks Jas, I'd appreciate that, £ is tight this year What age clothes does your ds wear, I may have some things I could hand on to him. I'm glad you found some glasses you like - I tend to think that they're worth it though as you have to wear them everyday The Jasmine plant sounds good
Saga had the cuppa yet? Hope dd has a fun day tomorrow
FGS at fry up. How's the knee doing?

Everyone has just gone out. Dd and ds were both in tears when they left so I hope they cheer up and have fun - dd was spinning round in the garden with a stick in her hand (as you do...) and ds walked inti the stick ending up with a nasty looking split lip

Dd has been brilliant all morning, helping strip the beds and generally being lovely

Right, off to tackle the wardrobes....

DontDreamItBeIt · 12/04/2008 13:02

Thanks Bianca - he is just moving into 2-3 year clothes for most things
It is very nice to hear you and dd are getting on well at the moment

I've not moved yet, but dd1 wants me off the computer so I'l make a cuppa, and get some FLYing done.

BiancaCastafiore · 12/04/2008 13:09

I'll keep an eye out fo rthat size then Jas Dd has been through a chnage lately and seems to be becoming better at keeping her moods in check Ds was playing up a few days ago and dd was horrified to remember the times when she has screamed and shouted as he was and has vowed never to do it again cos it's so awful to listen to! ...I wonder if she'll keep her word?

Better get on, am getting distracted by the computer!

tortoise · 12/04/2008 13:27

Afternoon.
I have masses of clothes to put away and a huge pile of washing up to do.

Haven't even thought about summer clothes yet. DD1 might be ok for clothes. DD2 should have some from last year of DD1's.
DS1 didn't like shorts last year. Not sure if i will get him wearing any this year. Don't think DS2 has many that will fit him this year. He lovs wearing shorts!

I just had a yummy lunch! Chips from the chip shop, soft white bread and butter and curry sauce.

Ludaloo · 12/04/2008 13:58

Oooooh chippy chips...yum! I am bloomin starving! I might have to go and rustle something up.
Kids are driving me potty...they seem completely unable to occupy themselves! I've turfed them outside, and already DS has come back in 3 times moaning and DD2 has been in twice to moan about DS ..... will they just play nicely please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OP posts:
TheMadHouse · 12/04/2008 14:23

Afternoon all

We have had a bust wet morning this morning

We have:

Been out and bought DH a new drill
A new play kitchen for the boys with DS1s birthday money
Scooter for DS1
New towels for the bathroom - real bargain £7 for a bale from M&S
had lunch out
Built said scooter
tidied conservatory

We are back now and it is still raining - so no progress on the playhouse

To Do

Kitchen to pop together
Dinner to sort
play with the boys

Jas I do not have any 2-3 clothes as DS2 is just going in to them and DS1 is moving into 3-4.

Bainca Sainsburys have some really good value bits of clothes in at the moment. I got DS1s shorts from thre and some T-shirts. I also bought my nice a lovley top adn leggins set for £7

tortoise · 12/04/2008 14:24

I have made a start on the washing up!

Weather isn't great here today so DD's are watching a bit of tv. Quieter without DS's arguing!

tortoise · 12/04/2008 14:31

mmm now we are eating strawberries! lol!

Ludaloo · 12/04/2008 14:33

I've just put chips in

OP posts:
BiancaCastafiore · 12/04/2008 14:35

Thanks TMH I was planning to have a look in Sainsburys sometime soon as I've found bargins there before

Tort must be quiet with only half the kids there Chips sound yummy

Jas I do have a few items which may be OK for your ds - still don't have a camera though...shall I list them for you, on facebook perhaps?

I have finished in ds room, he needs trousers and some t-shirts for the summer. I think all his shorts will still fit from last year
Dds room seems more daunting as her chest of drawers is broken so it'll be a battle just to get to the clothes! I'm going to have a drink then make a start.

BiancaCastafiore · 12/04/2008 14:36

luda

tortoise · 12/04/2008 14:37
Ludaloo · 12/04/2008 14:38
