Morning

OP posts:
FunkyGlassSocks · 12/04/2008 20:22

Picture please Jas...

DontDreamItBeIt · 12/04/2008 20:54

I'll sort out a picture once I get thm. They are made somewhere in Europe and take 3 weeks, pus I still have to pay for them (lovely optician is letting me pay in installments) before I get them so it will be a while.

DD2 always had more clohes than dd1 for exacly the same reasons TMH. She doesn't have a problem with having second hand clothes, but dd1 always complained that dd2 was wearing her stuff.

FunkyGlassSocks · 12/04/2008 20:57

DD1 loves the fact that DD2 gets her stuff and often says "Mummy, this t-shirt is a bit small so my little sister can have it now, cant she?"

tortoise · 12/04/2008 21:02

DD1 hates it when DD2 gets her clothes! She tries to prove they still fit even if they don't. lol!

TheMadHouse · 13/04/2008 08:17

Morning all

The sun is shinning and the porridge is cooling, I am not dressed yet and DH is still in bed, but both boys are up and dressed

Plans for the day are to get the playhouse errected.

I am going to give them brekkie and then put the mince in the slow cooker and then wake DH up.

The problem with given DS1#s clothes straight to DS2 is that he wants them back and also at the mo DS2 wants to wear the same stuff - strange children

Ludaloo · 13/04/2008 08:32

Morning ladies

Jas glad you have got your glasses sorted

Bianca Hope all are a little less cross this morning. Maybe DH was just a little tense from having the kids. I agree that clothes are essential, my DH grumbles too, but at the end of the day they have to be clothed!

GO no offense taken
I do have lots in really but just nothing anyone will eat. If it was just me, then I'd do rice or pasta, or something like that but the kids are picky, and DH isn't much better! I get peed off when I go to the lengths of cooking something new and it just gets pushed around plates..... by bedtime everyone is complaining they are hungry again!

I am hoping to do a shop today (If I don't get out the house I am going to physically morph into it! I feel like I have been in these four walls for an absolute eternity!)

Plus if the kids call "Muuuuummmmmmmmm" just to tell me something annoying like "Callum has put his toast on my plate" or "Anna is putting her feet where I am sitting" I am gonna need a padded cell!

Sorry...just a leetle stressed this morning!

I think we are all in desperate need of some sun shine and a good holiday!

I am supposed to be training for my Race for Life today...weather permitting [gulp]
I guess that'll give me the perfect opportunity to run off some anxt

TheMadHouse · 13/04/2008 08:35

Luda I think you are a saint doing differnt breakfasts and meals for them all.

I am a bit like Jas, they get what I give them and if they dont eat it and are still hungry well there is plenty of fruit - evil mum emo

Ludaloo · 13/04/2008 08:39

LOL believe me it makes my life a lot easier if I keep them all happy!
(I am also a bit of a pushover I fear )

OP posts:
BiancaCastafiore · 13/04/2008 09:10

lol, Luda I hope you manage to get out of the house a bit today.

Good luck with the playhouse TMH. We have a wooden one in the garden which gets loads of use, well worth having

Everyone is a bit calmer this morning although I am pretty grumpy!
We're all up and dressed and ready to leave the house. I'm going to try to take the kids to sunday school this morning - havne't been for a while, church seems to have become another obsticle for me anxiety wise Not feeling great this morning but hope to manage to go.

Ds has a party later.
Dd and I are going to go to Sainburys to look for clothes.

House is a tip

On a plus, dh is going to fix the upstairs loo today - it hasn't flushed properly for months (I have to keep a bucket up there to flush with!)

TeenyTinyTorya · 13/04/2008 09:31

Ok, I am failing miserably at FLYing - haven't done anything since Thursday . Last night I decided to tackle it all and got the dishes done and cleaned the living room, so I'm all ready to start again on Monday with new enthusiasam
I'm very glad this thread is here though, as it is just the encouragement I need!

TheMadHouse · 13/04/2008 09:42

TTT remember it is the weekend, flying can wait till monday

Bianca I am so sorry about your anxiety causing this much stress and hasstle in your life. I know it is easy for me to say, but do you think that maybe it is time to ask for some help? It has really worked for me. Anyway, glad the loo is being fixed and have fun at sainsburys with DD

Luda Food is the one thing I am not a pushover with. Part of the leftovers of my depression and anxiety. I felt that I was a bad mum and had to ensure that they got their 5 a day etc and not grow up to be fat like me . This part I can live with at the moment.

Well the mince is in the slow cooker, just got the batter to make and the potatoes to peel.

DH has put all the diffent screws etc in all my tuppleware pots in order to speed up the build - his words and DS1 is on Mario Kart- I fear some lazy parenting today as the shed needs 2 people

Ludaloo · 13/04/2008 09:51

Good for you TMH I'm really pleased you seem to have everything under control. Good luck with the building.

I am pottering about waiting for DH to get out of bed.....I'm bored.....I guess I had better do some housework [sigh]

TheMadHouse · 13/04/2008 10:00

ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

We have the wrong parts and can not build. They have sent us two right sides, so we can not do anything - pants pants pants and they are not open until tomorrow. Double pants

TheMadHouse · 13/04/2008 10:00

You know what they say about best laid plans

Ludaloo · 13/04/2008 10:22

TMH What a Nightmare!!! Don't you just hate it when that happens!

I have:
~emptied and reloaded DW
~emptied and rebagged bins
~sorted dirty washing
~put a load in WM
~put a load in TD

I am struggling today...it looks like I am at home all day again....weather is grim so I can't even go for a walk, looks like our training will be cancelled too.
Can't go shopping (skint) can't get a coherant conversation out of DH....he is still in bed but from what I gather he is going to work when he eventually gets up.

Do you know what I'd really like.....
A. To win the lottery (not even millions....just a few hundred grand would do)
B. To shop until I actually can't physically do anymore
C. To then laze about on a tropical beach followed by some nice evening entertainment and a big comfy bed.

And what have I got instead?
A. Not enough cash to do a food shop until the child benefit goes in
B. 3 bored and irritating children who seem to only know the name of ONE parent!
C. A house filled with dirty clothes, biscuit crumbs and Mickey Mouse Club house on an annoying continuous loop!

I am going mad I am sure of it!

DontDreamItBeIt · 13/04/2008 11:05

TMH Sorry you can't get it done today.

DP promised hewas going o do some work in the bathroom today. So far he is at B&Q buying vital bits for work next week.

Oh, Luda Can you just take them out on their bikes for a bit, or go to the park? You really sound like you need to get out.

Mine go back to school tomorow so I've got to get their stuff ready, and clean out dps car (or he will spend another hour doing it himself when he gets bak). I'm going to cook a roast for tea, too.

TTT - I felt a bit like that earlier in the week. The eat thing with FLYing is you really can just jump in where you are. I'll be joiningyou on Monday with the next babystep, and some post-holiday cleaning up.

Bianca I hope you managed to get to church

DontDreamItBeIt · 13/04/2008 11:45

I've cleared ou the rubbish and hoovered the car, bt it is raining now, so I've brought the washing in that I just hung out.
I'll hang it upstairs instead, and see what dd2 is doing in the bath. She always moas about having one, but once she is in, stays in until it goes cold.

BiancaCastafiore · 13/04/2008 12:40

I made it to church Thanks for the encouragement.

Luda any chance you can just bung wellies on and get out anyway? you sounds really fed up. I can be around later on if you'd like a chat x

TMH I did go to the doctors and was told I was getting myself in a state over nothing and ought to be able to manage some mind over matter... She alsop offered pills but I don't want to just take pills forever, I want to get over it! I am generally miles better than I used to be, I'm not sure whta this blip is atm
Sorry about the playhouse, how frustrating!

Dh is still mending the loo - it's turned into a mamouth job.

Dd doesn't want to come to the shops so I'm not sure what to do, I was planning to take her for lunch at Sainsburys cafe too as a treat. I've decided I'll get all kids clothes out of my wages (I was trying to save for a digital camera)

Better get some lunch sorted...

grouchyoscar · 13/04/2008 13:00

Hello

I've done the ironing and got Ed's clothes out for morning. I've got clothes to put away and that's it.

Ed's school have sent a flyer about the 1/2term topic about growth and changing. I showed him his baby and toddler photos and he got all sad, gtears and everything, saying he wanted to be a baby again cos he was so happy. {Awwwh] Continued for 1/2 hr So much for supporting the school

Then he has a fd time as Teddy is in the washer (he dropped him in the loo this morning and no other toy will help.

Teddy is now drying on the fireguard

Ed and I have been doing writing practice this morning. We've done the topic work and the reading this aft. DH is mending the drum kit (yay) so it seems like a steady Sunday. I've got to take it slowly as I'm working all day tomorrow (yay again, cash for family stuff)

I'll be about but hope your all well

tortoise · 13/04/2008 13:08

Afternoon all.
I never did get round to putting clothes away yesterday . Hopefully do it this afternoon.
Made choc cake this morn, had to go and get eggs as i didn't have enough. (thanks Bianca for link to recipe).
Also just made soup for me. Just need to blend it for my lunch.

Luda Hope you manage to get out. Even if you all get wet it will be better than sitting indoors.
TMH I wish i was stricter on food. Mine often have something different each. Actually it is normally DD1 who makes a fuss. DS's have got much better lately. They will eat fahitas and enchiladas now.
Bianca Glad you managed to get to church. Hope DD changes her mind and goes on shopping trip with you. Hope DH gets the loo fixed too.

tortoise · 13/04/2008 14:01

Mmmmmm this cake is scrummy lol

I will sort the washing after cake!

Ludaloo · 13/04/2008 15:56

Hi sorry for the grumpy post!

We did get out...went for a walk to a nearby forest and played hide and seek.
DH climbed a hill with DD1, me and the other two were not feeling that energetic!

Back in and supper is in the oven....DD1 is playing Zelda on the wii...other 2 are making a train track with DH (he decided not to go to work thankfully!)

Better get on...will be bath time soon.

you were all right...just needed to get out!!!

OP posts:
tortoise · 13/04/2008 16:14

Glad you got out, had a good time and DH stayed away from work!

I have sorted piles of washing and put DD2's away! Sooo much more to do!

need to take Mickey out first.

TheMadHouse · 13/04/2008 16:24

Well I did someting today I have not sone for over 2 and a half years - I had a BATH at lunchtime. DH was working in the garden, both boys were in bed, so I just did it and it was lovley.

DH has laid 6 paving slabs
Cut one round a manhole cover
Laid stepping stones to the childrens playhouse area from one patio to the other
He is now mowing the back lawn and want to get the front done to.

I have been out for an adventure with the boys DS1 on his new scooter (which I had to carry most of the way) and DS2 on his trike with me pushing

Luda I am glad DH stayed home and you had some time out.

Bianca That is not on - it is real and effecting your everyday life. Tablets can help, but they are not the answer on there own. If things do not get better, get DH to go with you - unfortunaly they believe the men

GO Sounds like a nice day. DS2 has Bear Bear and Spare Bear, both the same and I wash one against the other. DS1 only has his muslins for sleep,

Tort Mexican yum, they eat fahittas, but havnt tried them on enchillardas - will give it ago next weekend

tortoise · 13/04/2008 16:49

Sounds great TMH
DD1 took her skipping rope on Mickey's walk and i am amazed at her skipping skills. And DD2 took her little bike. I took the stabilisers off because one was bent and she is actually starting to pedel for a few seconds. I don't think it will be long before she can ride properly!
