Hi GO

TheMadHouse · 12/04/2008 16:46

Oh dress them down, pop them oover a pair od skinny jeans, they will look cool. Only wish that I could get away with the fairy headband and wand to go with them

BiancaCastafiore · 12/04/2008 16:47

Hi Grouchy

Dd does wear some dresses and all the skirts get loads of wear but there are 4 or 5 dresses which are extra nice. I guess I need to relax about them and encourage her to wear them more

I need to get on and re-make the beds.

Ludaloo · 12/04/2008 16:47

My DD1 is not a girly type. She lives in jeans and long sleeve tops. I have just realised she doesn't actually own any jumpers! She has two zip up tacksuit tops and that is it....I really have to get her wardrobe sorted. She needs everything...knickers and socks as well!

DD2 has piles of clothes, including lots of skirts and frilly dresses...but she is not a girly girl either...she refuses to put dresses on.

DS isn't fussy...he mostly wears jeans/cords and long sleeve tops. He has lots and lots, but could do with a couple more pairs of shorts and they all need sandals for summer.

Yep, I agree TMH I need to get some skinny jeans and leggings to give them a different look for her

Ludaloo · 12/04/2008 16:49

Next spare bit of cash I will have to treat DD1 I didn't realise how little she has! I just keep getting rid of the clothes that she out grows but not actually replacing them!

OP posts:
tortoise · 12/04/2008 16:50

DD2 wasn't girlie but i think DD1 has led her astray! She now asks to wear a dress when i get trousers out! She just doesn't have enough tights to wear a dress everyday!

Ludaloo · 12/04/2008 16:51

My friend has just bought herself some skinny jeans no chance I'll ever get in a pair of those!

OP posts:
BiancaCastafiore · 12/04/2008 16:51

I'm almost jealous of my dd who can wear anything and look good

Ludaloo · 12/04/2008 16:52

DH has just rung to say he is on his way home and is "STARVING!!!!"
Better go and find some suitable fodder

ARRRRRRRGGGHHHH I sooooo need to food shop!

Do you think I can give them pizza again?....we have had it three nights this week!

OP posts:
tortoise · 12/04/2008 17:01

Can DH pick anything up on his way back? Otherwise pizza will be fine lol! Only 3 of mine will eat pizza.

Ludaloo · 12/04/2008 17:08

Pizza it is....they haven't objected! DH is only 2 mins away...up a hill behind our house...has a rally track on it!
So he won't pass anywhere to pick anything up (village shop shuts at 2 on a sat)

Never mind...I'll do a shop tomorrow hopefully

grouchyoscar · 12/04/2008 17:17

Luda do you have nothing in at all?

Did a bacon and rice hash with leftovers that was really nice.

just a thought

God I should drag myself out of bed

DontDreamItBeIt · 12/04/2008 17:18

DD1 and her friend have asked to come home from the party early Not sure why....her mates dad is going to drop her off.

I can't deal with cooking seperate meals for everyone. I try and do one meal for everyoe, and just have one whinging kid because it is something they don't like I do rotate the disliked foods though, so I am mean but fair

I can wear skinny jeans [smug]
DD1 would look great but insists on baggy too big jeans and oversized tops.

grouchyoscar · 12/04/2008 17:25

Luda Sorry, just re-read my post and it seems so judgemental. I didn't mean it to be. I am sorry if I offended as there was no intent

BiancaCastafiore · 12/04/2008 18:39

dh has come home moaning about the fact that we won't have had supper in time to watch Doctor Who (if I'd been told they were on their way I'd have got supper on the go..) and moaning when I suggested we need to buy some clothes for the kids ready for summer

I missed out on the trip (as alwaysanxiety stops me going ) and spend the whole afternoon clearing up then they all come home moaning, cross and miserable!

Fed up.

Might just go to bed now and have done with the lot of them for the day

BiancaCastafiore · 12/04/2008 18:40

oh, and we all appear to have headlice again. Great.

tortoise · 12/04/2008 18:48

Oh Bianca . Hope you can whip up a quick tea. Kids need clothes so it is no good him moaning about itl Do you have any charity shops near by? I get lots for DD's from my local ones saving a fortune in the meantime. Or maybe a cheap bundle of Ebay?
Enjoy Dr who. i am watching it too.

BiancaCastafiore · 12/04/2008 18:55

No Doctor Who for us. Why we can't just eat in front of the telly tonight I don't really know....I have set the video though, as iPlayer isn't good enough for dh to watch it on later I think he's just out to annoy me this eveing...not sure what I've done to deserve it but hey!

Pizza from the freezer was cooked by dh for the kids while I sulked up here

I can see that the kids have lots of clothes in some ways but they have an odd mix so we do need some other bits and pieces to tie exsisting clothes together and make them last longer iykwim - like the leggings are dd etc.

Sorry, am in a moaning mood now

I ought to be making up the beds but would rather rant on here I'm just sorry for all you lot who read it!

Sorry.

tortoise · 12/04/2008 18:57

Awww ((( hugs ))). Nothing wrong with watching tv while eating sometimes. At least it isn't a whole new wardrobe of clothes they need. Leggings are quite cheap aren't they? Especially if you have primark or peacocks.

tortoise · 12/04/2008 18:58

Oh and rant away if you need too.

DontDreamItBeIt · 12/04/2008 19:44

Oh, that is definite grounds for a rant I don't like eating in front of the tv, but if it was that or miss Dr Who, we'd be having a picnic on the sitting room floor.

DP moans about money for essentials, too. It is usually just an excuse for a moan though. (He did the same when I told him how much my new glasses would cost, but happily agreed to pay double the amount for a nicer pair this morning.)

It is very hard explaining ewhere real history nds and sci fi starts with episodes like tonghts, though.

TheMadHouse · 12/04/2008 20:07

evening all

We are recording Dr Who, as the boys are too young, I wish they put it on after the Nancy thing, as they could watch that

Bainca I would be ranting too. I am sick of thinking up meals TBH

DS2 always has loads of clothes, as he gets DS1's, but then we buy more as we feel bad as they are hand me downs and only just too. Although most of the clothes up to now have been sale things.

I have washed all the play food and pans etc from the old wendy house and they are all ready for the new one - so praying for sunshine

jas I just knew rimless would be for you - picture please.

Luda Pizza sounds fine to me. I must make up some extra dough for bases etc next time i do them.

We are having mince and onion and yoirkshire puddings tomorrow on order of all the men. Sometimes I think all I do is cook, clean, wash and iron. DS1 told me the wii was not for Ladies today
