Fascinating thread - how often do you open your windows?

Just realised today I don’t think we’ve opened ours since maybe October. Could do with doing so more regularly. Is this something others do regularly?

The little ones every day for half an hour to let the fresh air through. The big ones, only when I clean them at this time of year, so maybe 4 or 5 times since October?

Ewww, doesn't that make your house very stuffy/musty/smelly? We sleep with bedroom windows open overnight even when it's freezing outside - we use very warm duvets etc to keep warm in bed. And we air out the whole house every couple of days in winter. Every day in warmer weather, of course.

Yes, I have my bedroom window open all night all year long. I shut and lock it when I go out, the same with the bathroom window. Other windows are opened for a short while every day, and always when I'm cleaning.

All windows get opened for at least 30 minutes each morning.

Bathroom every day. Bedrooms every day unless it’s absolutely arctic. Downstairs rooms only when weather good, but they get aired by the dogs constantly demanding to come in and out the patio doors and back door.

Bedroom windows are cracked open all the time. We have trickle vents in the kitchen but they still get opened once a day for a blast of fresh air.

Bedrooms, bathrooms, loo and kitchen - daily.
Lounge - at least once a week for a blast.

Bedroom windows open on smallest setting all year round, then larger opening for a bit every day depending on weather. (Only closed shut if heavy rain or fireworks etc due to noise)

Probably, @BlibBlabBlob - don’t really know myself, as you adjust to smells. Our windows are the sort that open the full way and we have a toddler so have to exercise caution.

Bathroom never closed. Kitchen open from morning until evening. Bedroom open all morning.
Other areas open in the morning.

Every day, even on the coldest of days. It might only be for half an hour or so sometimes but I’m a big believer that houses need fresh air and heat.

No trickle vents in this house so all windows are on the catch 24/7.

My bedroom and the bathroom open every day, kids bedrooms 3 or 4 days a week all day

Patio door opened 20 mins to all day in warm weather (for pets). Small house so that fresh air reaches everywhere.

I usually will open a couple of windows to air out the place, usually while I clean in the morning. We sleep with bedroom window cracked open.

Well I opened my living room window for about half an hour last night because the neighbours were having a barney outside and I'm nosy as hell.
