Anyone else rocking the housework?

My housekeeping was always somewhat chaotic, and since these were launched, my house is far more functional and a podcast away from actually looking rather orderly, even at short notice.

I tend to pick what I need each day rather than following the tradtitonal TOMM, but do refer back to that to help get some jobs done if they're in danger of being neglected.

I think my most used tracks are the "Calm Laundry Put Away" the "Bitesize Bathroom Blitz" and the "Quick Kitchen Turnaround"

Yeah!! I saw like... ooo super exciting. But how do I get on it ?? 😂 think we just need to be patient for the tweaks to be tweaked out

I'm a bit confused about the app too - as @Rainbowsandbutterflies1990 says, will this supersede Patreon? Or complement it? I don't have the app (yet!) and it's not on the Apple store at the moment, hopefully all will be revealed soon!

I don't understand either. So if you have the app you can access the guided cleans in a way that lets you play your own music ... but do you also pay a subscription for that? Because obviously although £3.60/month is a bargain for RTH it would be cheaper to buy the app.

I think they were so excited to announce the new feature that they forgot to announce how it actually works.

I'm still a bit crap at finding my way around the different sessions. I'd like a list with menus for different rooms etc, the search seems a bit random. I don't want to spend time working out what would be a good one to do, I just want to get started before I change my mind! Need to do a quick tidy up and then hoover everywhere in the house. Wonder what to search for that?!

yes youre right of course, but say I search "kitchen" I get 15 hits and I feel I need to look at what's actually in each of them before I pick one to start... 😀

Oh I see! I tend to just switch stuff out now. For example if she says clean a microwave, I'll do something else that needs doing but isn't on the list. Trust yourself and use it for body doubling?

@CocoPlum I was (sadly!) quite excited when I heard the app was being updated, as I did look at it before but didn't like the functionality, hopefully I'll find it more user friendly this time round. But yes, I wish they'd just ironed out the issues and launched it all in one go, rather than doing it bit by bit!

Okay, so there are guided cleans on the original TOMM app, which apparently has now dropped an M, so TOM, The organised Mum? The organised Method? And to access the cleans via the app is a broadly equivalent cost - but it only has half the stuff? - will the rest migrate over eventually?

Is that right, or have a missed something? Presumably the patreon days are limited?

I'm sure someone said on the FB group about this and they're just not all migrated yet.

Patreon will have been paid on the first won't it? It's a shame it's not come out in the second half of the month. I'd rather not be cancelling in the first week of it. I know that's quibbling over £3.60.

I wonder if the new cleans are coming out to blend with music like Zombies Run does? I quite like the randomness of the pre-set music. It's not necessarily my taste, but it becomes my cleaning music and I kind of get a muscle memory to it on my frequently used cleans.

I haven't used it today, however, I have doneva partial clean-out of the car. Not enough combination of weather and time to do it properly, but it's not going to get any more inviting to do waiting for the ideal weather + time that has so far not happened this month. So I did some of it. It is better. I chaneled my inner 20min car clean to tackle the worst of it while I could.

I'm fortunate that I didn't have enough money in my account for the monthly patreon to go out this month 😂

Okay, they seem to be adding cleans at breakneck speed. My favourites are appearing. All is forgiven.

I'm going to join on app in a months time as I've just paid patreon it did make me laugh the 'it's cheaper than patroen , it's 1p less! Lol I mean patren is cheap but made me laugh that's a selling point!

Yes 1p isn't exactly a massive saving even in these days of the cost of living crisis @Rainbowsandbutterflies1990

Just listened to the latest podcast where Gemma says they are letting people in bit by bit, so hopefully things will move along soon! I'd like to change to the app if you can choose your own music for the cleans. Plus I like a good to do list and ticking items off when they're done I really need to get out more

Today's 1hr reset's another good one. It's a good combination of refreshing upstairs and key downstairs rooms, but in a very efficient window.

I used the new cooking one last night too. It definitely helps for focusing on a tedious task.

Still trundling on... the hall felt like it was in a state, but 10 mins of pre-clean tidy-up from last Christmas got it to a functional state where all it needed was a vacuum.

I need to knuckle down and do some short declutter sessions where things sneakily build up over time.

I'm still confused re the new (?) app, have just paid Patreon but have cancelled it for next month. Has anyone started paying through the app, and is it any better than Patreon?

I signed up for the free trial, but cancelled Patreon renewal first 🤦‍♂️.
I like that you can choose your own music but didn't like that so many of my absolute favourites hadn't been moved across from Patreon! Very disappointing as I had assumed they would all be added within the app.
I cancelled before the end of the free trial, my Patreon access has only a week left. Not sure what to do going forward.

Oh firgot to say, I did find the app easier to navigate than Patreon. It's easier to find the content I need, and could mark favourites.

Yeah, I've fallen out with it and my patron subscription has expired. I had assumed they'd bring them all over too.
