Morning Everyone

OP posts:
ludaloo · 19/01/2008 07:46

I didn't have a chance to get on the PC at all yesterday.
I had to do the school run, go into town to run some errands, get all the way back for swimming (DD2 sat on the side in tears the entire 10 minutes we were in the pool...refusing at all costs to get in!...will try again next week however, she was extremely worried about water going in her ears, and NOTHING I said or did persuaded her otherwise...so to avoid further embarrasment as every other mother was staring at us...we got out)
Then I came back to pick the kids up, make supper...then back out to Keep Fit.

Have decided to go twice a week to keep fit, will do me good I think. I signed up for the Boots "Change one thing at a time plan" I am 5ft 4", weigh 11 stone 6lb (That is a stone and a bit heavier than my DH ) and my BMI is 27.3. Can't remember what it should be...but that it is waaaay too high. My target weight is 9 stone 1lb and a target of 2lb per week weight loss. I have started a calorie controlled diet too. No more than 1400 calories per day.
(although yesterday I only had about 900 calories as I was rushing about like a loon and missed lunch and only had a few mouthfuls of my pasta for supper)

Anyway...enough of that, I hope everyone is ok, and baby Lincoln is doing ok?

I have to go and sort DD2 out who is pulling me away!

BBL xx

Morning Luda. You did have a busy day! Well done for doing keep fit. Good luck with weight loss.

I only put PC on to check train times. DD1 needs new school shoes. And DD2 needs new wellies. She wants fifi ones!

Better get everyone dressed and get moving. Train is in 50 mins.

glitterfairy · 19/01/2008 09:07

Morning tort and luda. I am going to blitz the house this weekend and get it sorted! have started with my mountain of washing up.

ludaloo · 19/01/2008 09:47

Morning you two

Good luck with the blitz GF
Hope you can find Fifi ones Tort!

I am contemplating going into town to buy myself a decent set of bathroom scales. I'd like some digital ones which are a bit more accurate.

Must get on and tidy the house though. We are all up and dressed (excpet Dh as usual) might have a quick whip round then head off to Argos

OP posts:
gibberish · 19/01/2008 10:37

Good for you luda! What is the Boots thing?

Morning tort Enjoy shopping for shoes. D'you think you will resist getting some for yourself?

gf It's the weekend! Try to have a bit of 'me' time once you have conquered the mountain!

Well off to paint today. Not the artistry type - just my bedroom walls! Had the paint sitting there for about 2 wks now so am going to do it this weekend. Waiting impatiently for my real paints to be delivered...

Bewilderbeast · 19/01/2008 12:33

morning all

it's quiet on here today

Ds decided to empty a packet of biscuits and the contents of dp's wallet all over the bedroom carpet this morning grr

done

washing on
filled a bin bag with rubbish and crap from upstairs

we're just off out for a bit as I am working tomorrow so it isn't much of a weekend.

Does anyone have the recipe for Jamie Oliver's lamb shoulder that he made on tv this week? I was going to shove it in the oven before I left for work in the morning

Luda I have 3 to 4 stone to lose and I am not making much progress, maybe the boots thing would be a good idea. Good luck to you!

ludaloo · 19/01/2008 14:16

Gibberish Boots plan Here

If you know your height and weight, it will calculate your BMI (Body mass index...amount of fat) It'll then tell you what your ideal weight and BMI is, and help you plan how to achieve it.

Good luck to you too bewilder Its hard to keep motivated isn't it.

OP posts:
tortoise · 19/01/2008 15:03

Hi again.
School shoes bought and Fifi wellies which were a bargain at £4.50 in mothercare sale!
Gibberish Can't afford to buy myself shoes. My trainers are nearly dead but will have to wait a while before i replace them. Everything else seems to come 1st!

Have washed up and put WM and TD on and thats about all since we got home! The day is going very fast!

BiancaCastafiore · 19/01/2008 15:32

Just home from work
Kids are at a party for another hour so I have some peace to make the most of - doubtful that any housework will be achieved, I fancy an hour of slobbing about on the sofa

Well done with the wellie hunt Tort
Luda you don't weigh much less than me! You look much slimmer than me though, are you sure your scales are correct? I'm 5ft 6 and this morning I was exactly 12stone
Glitter Hows the blitz going?
Bewilder weight loss is such a struggle - I've finally lost 2 stone this last 6/7mths but it's taken me 4 years to get the right motivation to do it. I might look at the Boots thing too...
Gibberish what colour are you painting? Wish I could've sent you some pics yesterday, we don't have an digital images though I'm glad you found so much inspiration from people here

Well, dh is sealing the bath in the hope of stopping the leak. I'm going to make a drink and try to do nothing much else at all. BBL x

tortoise · 19/01/2008 15:37

Bianca I am just over 12 stone since Christmas. Hope DH stops the leak.

ludaloo · 19/01/2008 17:02

Gibberish Hope the painting went ok

Bianca... I really am 11 stone 6lb...I weighed myself at boots, and again this afternoon on my new scales (its all in the thighs and bum...believe me!)

OP posts:
gibberish · 19/01/2008 17:04

Ah well, need to get it off.

tort Good for you on getting the bargain You need to put yourself first sometimes though...

bianca painting one wall a deep aubergine colour and the others off-white. Sounds awful, but the aubergine is actually gorgeous!

gibberish · 19/01/2008 17:05

Actually have EXACTLY 2 stone to lose looking at it again.

gibberish · 19/01/2008 17:08

My Dad and his partner are coming tomorrow. Haven't seen them since before Christmas so that will be nice. Ed will get his presents from Grumpy Gramps so it will be fun

Grouchyoscar · 19/01/2008 17:18

And I've shined the sink!

Weight loss...I was a size 20/22 about 10 years ago andI thought when I got pregnant, that was it, it will stay on etc etc. I only put on Ed's babyweight etc when pregnant and what with motherhood and bfing for 13 mth I just started losing weight. It wasn't intentional, it just started to come off.

I'm a 14/16 now, weigh about 12 stone and I think I've plateaued. I never intended to lose weight, I think it lost me TBH

gibberish · 19/01/2008 17:21

lol GO at needing to grow up Good for you at naturally losing the weight though. Would be great if that could always happen!

BiancaCastafiore · 19/01/2008 17:39

Can someone link me to the boots site?...
Not sure if I'll join or not, seem to be managing OK on my own and have reached target weight...poss not my ideal weight though but then I'm not sure I want to feel pressure to loose more, I'm hoping if I carry on as I have been I'll maybe loose another 6lbs or so and be contented.....

tortoise · 19/01/2008 17:58

here you go Bianca.
I might join too. Is it free?? I don't think i am really over weight just lots of wobbly flabby areas which need toning up!

gibberish · 19/01/2008 18:01

Yes it's free

I've started a blog

BiancaCastafiore · 19/01/2008 18:05

Thanks Tort I have signed up And hopefully sent requests to Gibb and LUda to be my buddies
I really don't want to set myself up to feel like a failure though so am a little worried. I've never managed with organised diets before so will see how I feel....

all hell has broken out here - dd hit ds with the ligt sabre really hard across his back and is now refusing to say sorry or go to her room! Straight to bed with no story next I think it's our family telly night so I feel very about it all....

Better go and assist dh - I'm afraid I had to leave in order to calm down!

gibberish · 19/01/2008 18:08

bianca there are two on there with your name. Did you register with capitals in your name or all lower case??

gibberish · 19/01/2008 18:08
