Looking to decluuter the kitchen a bit and looking online people don't seem to have anything out . Not even a toaster! Do they just get it out of a cupboard everytime they use it? I have out toaster, nutri bullet, magimix, actifry. It feels too much. But have no room in cupboards to put it. What do you do?

Microwave, toaster, kettle, Nespresso maker, air fryer and kitchenaid. I have a lot of counter space (6 counters the width of 2 cupboards).

Thinkbiglittleone · 29/12/2021 20:30

Too many.

Coffee machine with the beans, slow cooker, toaster, kettle, can opener, microwave and beer fridge.

In the cupboard is the toastie machine, popcorn maker, nutri bullet, rotisserie, George Forman, milkshake maker, so you can see we have too much tat that we haven't used for at least 18months

Costacoffeeplease · 29/12/2021 20:33

Kettle toaster coffee machine kitchenaid automatic orange juicer

PiesNotGuys · 29/12/2021 20:34

Kettle, stand mixer always out.

Don’t have a microwave, toaster, blender, slow cooker, coffee machine, bread machine or bread bin. Or a tv, radio or Alexa!

Do have a smoothie maker, a waffle machine, toastie maker, and an instant pot, all in the cupboards but all used regularly.

HeronLanyon · 29/12/2021 20:42

This thread is doing nothing good for my de cluttering kitchen project. Too many gadgets I’ve avoided for decades being bandied about nonchalantly. I’m also hungry and the very thought of a toasted sandwich maker or waffle maker is proving enticing.

CoedenNadolig · 29/12/2021 20:48

Nothing. The Kettle is a hob top gas kettle so that sits on the hob.

I don't have a toaster I make toast in the oven under the grill.

I don't have a microwave.

I'm not poor or anything, I just don't need one, my oven does everything I need it to do. 🤷🏻‍♀️

None, I hate clutter

but it isn't 'clutter' if it is functional appliances that are used weekly, daily, or several times a day, it is part of your kitchen Confused

TheDogsMother · 29/12/2021 21:05

Toaster and kettle on the surface in the utility room just off the kitchen. In the kitchen I have house plants on one end of the island and fruit bowl and candles on the other. I love it being uncluttered.

TheDogsMother · 29/12/2021 21:06

Oops and Nespresso in utility room.

Quite right.
TheCreamCaker · 29/12/2021 21:13

On my worktops - toaster, kettle, electric can-opener, bread bin, fruit bowl, washing-up liquid

ErrolTheDragon · 29/12/2021 21:45

I only listed gadgets... I didn't include tea caddies, coffee beans, Aeropress and its bits, fruit bowls, kitchen roll, spice rack, salt and pepper mills, biscuit barrels (one full of muesli), 2 types of olive oil and (for reasons best known to DH) at last count five types of balsamic vinegar.

Haybo26 · 29/12/2021 21:53

Nespresso, air fryer, kettle and toaster.

ChristmasCrackered · 29/12/2021 21:57

Coffee machine/grinder, toaster, Thermomix

inheritancetrack · 29/12/2021 22:21

Blender, toaster, George Forman grill and kettle

I adore balsamic, I get it Grin

If we are including stuff that isn't meant to be there, then I also have a 3kg jar of gherkins (I need to decant it or it will break the fridge), and a cat which is not my cat

Agree completely, I find it quite odd that people don't want everyday things like kettles and toasters out. I can't think of anyone I know in real life who has totally clear counters, even a friend whose house is insta-worthy has kettle, toaster, microwave, coffee machine and fruit bowl on the counters.
Wantingtomove123 · 30/12/2021 00:27

Kettle, 5 canisters (tea/coffee etc), air fryer, instant pot. Our kitchen is small in an apartment.

ErrolTheDragon · 30/12/2021 08:13

...bread bin&board, utensil pot, knife block...

WildStallyn · 30/12/2021 08:18

Kettle
Toaster
Coffee grinder
Knife block
Oil and seasoning
Bread bin
Magimix
Bread maker
Microwave
Chopping boards
Cereals
Cat biscuits

I hate it, the back of the whole worktop is filled with stuff and it looks really untidy. Cleaning properly means moving everything. But there just isn't the cupboard space.

JurgensCakeBabyJesus · 30/12/2021 14:37

Kettle, toaster, microwave, coffee machine, pot by the cooker with most used cooking utensils in, and the Google home hub speaker thing lives on a shelf in the corner, but our kitchen is nearly 20ft long and wide-ish galley style so there's a lot of worktop. When we get it refurbished I'd like the microwave to be integrated but the rest I'm ok with

JurgensCakeBabyJesus · 30/12/2021 14:37

Oh and bread bin!

Bouledeneige · 30/12/2021 16:53

Toaster and kettle, bread bin and bread board, fruit bowl and radio. I realise these aren't all appliances!

Next to the hob on an island I have a pot full of utensils, olive oil, salt and pepper.

I don't like really cluttered work surfaces but I like things that have daily use to be ready to hand.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 30/12/2021 17:18

Coffee machine and microwave are built in.
Have a kettle, toaster, and Alexa on one side, kitchenaid and velvetiser on another. Fruit bowl is on the island.
Everything else is in cupboards.

linerforlife · 30/12/2021 17:29

I have a MASSIVE kitchen, it sold the house to me. I have kitchen aid, blender, toaster, weighing scales, coffee machine and then fruit bowl and wine rack and knife block out too! But I have a whole empty kitchen island left Grin
