Well done Trix! Your sink looks great! Who?d have thought I?d be comenting on people?s sinks!! Mine is shiny [proud emoticon].

Can't believe it - I'm done .

Only because DP leaves house really early and I could not go back to sleep and baby still asleep.

Struggling with lace up shoes though. Currently in slippers as opposed to bare feet but will have a look around shoe cupboard for something suitable later.

Also, I'll be away at the end of the week for five days, so need to think how to catch up - any tips from experienced FLYers?

SuperMonkey · 25/09/2007 07:16

Done

But people keep messing up my shiny sink.

Flamesparrow · 25/09/2007 07:56

Done... sort of... my jeans are still drying so I am in a clashing skirt and top. No lace up shoes on - I am a barefoot flyer.

numptysmummy · 25/09/2007 08:52

Sink shiny, dishwasher washing - no lace ups though!

laloop · 25/09/2007 09:35

Can I join in please? Was on the regular FLY thread a long time ago, house was soooo tidy back then . I'm a SAHMer with 3 dcs (2 at primary school, a toddler at home), drowning in laundry and the usual household clutter. Will go shine sink now, if it can be found under pile of dirty breakfast dishes yet to find their way into dishwasher.

Flamesparrow · 25/09/2007 09:35

It's lovely when it is working isn't it?

tibni · 25/09/2007 09:36

Sink shined! Dressed and kids at school. Will have a quick dash round with the hoover before Im off to the gym!

Have to say only got shoes on because ive been on the school run and I refuse to wear make up when im off to the gym as there is nothing more nasty than seeing sweat running down slap! yuk!

Hope you all have a good day

flowerybeanbag · 25/09/2007 09:50

Morning all

Sink is still shinyish, and I have laced up shoes on Halo and make up and everything [double halo].

alycat · 25/09/2007 09:52

I'm from the recent babysteps FLY thread, but fell off the wagon a little due to excessive illness (all of us) and nasty injuries (DS) so am still shining my sink, but the rest is a little hazy!

Will be checking here for encouragement!

PeckaRolloverAgain · 25/09/2007 11:56

Ok so i was dressed to shoes by 8am but then I always am for school run.

Sink is shining too.

My aim for today is to get all of the laundry put away - am I allowed to do that or do we have to do NOTHING but get dressed?

Im in crap mood due to no sleep (27 wks pregnant and starting to get sick!!) so hoping doing some housework might lift my spirits a bit!

McDreamy · 25/09/2007 11:57

ooh good you're doing this again... I tried and failed miserably with the last baby steps! Can I join this one?

princessmel · 25/09/2007 12:00

hello, I was dressed by 7.30 this morning. Sink is shiny and dry too.
I dried everything on the drainer and put it away to keep it nice.

SuperMonkey · 25/09/2007 12:01

Pecka - well I've had to do other stuff, the laundry won't wait until we're told to do it!

SuperMonkey · 25/09/2007 12:02

Sorry, I mean my laundry not yours! I wasn't making a judgement on the state of your laundry!

mylastrolo · 25/09/2007 13:29

afternoon ladies.

At work after school run so had my shoes on boots actually.

d/d and friend collected 12.15pm home they are now having a long lunch whilst watching Barney.

To do: shine sink again not looking too bad but it doesn't last long.

paperwork continue from yesterday
ironing
think what to have for dinner

getting off here now. To do some work.

Cappuccino · 25/09/2007 13:33

do you know I did not shine my sink

but I did tidy up the kitchen

and managed to get dressed

Am in two minds about the shoes - it is okay when I am wearing flats, but I am not poncing about doing housework in heels

pagwatch · 25/09/2007 13:38

I got up and dressed before kids were up. Claened all around sink and loaded dishwasher. Actually wrote shopping list before going out ( rather than usual headless meander and returning home with crap I don't need and not the eggs/milk/etc that i did).
I have dug out plimpsoles to wear around the house so as to avoid the bare foot/slipper/high heels debacle.
Slightly more excited now I realise that McDreamy will be helping me through this ( ah if wishing made it real - especially now he and Meredith are looking shakey ...again)

dissle · 25/09/2007 13:40

HELLO!!!!
I made the decision NOT to switch mumsnet on today till i had done a substantial clean in one room...
So ive gutted my office.
Its all clean, shiny and neat now.
am so proud.
Just going to vaccume the stairs and landing and sort out some thing for tea before i pick up the beast from school...

joy joy joy joy!!!

funnypeculiar · 25/09/2007 13:42

hello
Not hugely productive so far as I had to do school tour/work this am. Off to make a few calls then hopefully can get on with stuff
Sorry, dull post but just checking in, iykwim

dissle · 25/09/2007 13:43

Also have done 4 loads of washing and drying...am so proud....

Its great this full days at school milarky.
I have 2 whole days to my self a week to do what ive put off for well years while i have had a little one round my ankles.
ive returned a book to the hv, picked up a prescription, visited a friend and her new baby had a coffee, and posted a letter as well.
Had a very very productive day.

I LURVE FLY DAYS

Cappuccino · 25/09/2007 13:48

dissie what are you doing? In your office? With 4 loads of washing?

this is what happened with the first fly thread (bet Flame remembers) everyone went INSANE

a load a day woman fgs

you make everyone else look bad

mylastrolo · 25/09/2007 13:51

well done you drissle just popped on here whilst on way to bathroom to get bleach for dishclothes and another shine of sink !!

lunch is over just one last coffee then get up off my backside and do some work

dissle · 25/09/2007 13:52

i know BUT i save it all for my free days to myself.
I dont want to be bothering with washing in the week when im working.
Got enough to do!

my wash basket is now empty... HORRAH!!!

I shall shove a load in every other day tho, to give my washer a rest!
Is that better??
