Just opening the new thread while I have a chance! All welcome here, join in with the housework chat, the keep calm corner and general ramblings about life in lockdown!
Any of us have been here a long time so we may seem cliquey but it’s never intentional - newbies and returners are always welcome.

Morning all... again! Cagletini dozed off again and I managed to sleep for two more hours.

Zoo will definitely share the rules/schedule when it’s done! Haven’t yet and since waking up the second time I feel like crap, may need a hot bath before anything else Hmm

Hi everyone! Thought I'd posted on the new thread yesterday but it has disappeared, never mind!

Good to hear from you stressy and well done for all you're doing.

We did a video chat with dh's family last night and stayed up too late and had a bit too much to drink so my head is a little fuzzy this morning Blush

THATscurryfungeBITCH · 19/04/2020 10:40

stressy hope ICU not too stressful Gin

Slow start here today

I feel like I'm in the twilight zone, kids were very quiet so thought I'd check on then, usually it means they're doing something messy that they shouldn't be...this is what I found , doing a puzzle together!! Strange times indeed Grin

Right folks sorry for late links!

Launch pad

We are moving into zone 4, the master bedroom or boudoir as it is known on the thread!

Missions

Detail cleaning list for anyone who doesn’t have a cluttered bedroom... so such things exist?

Also a reminder that the habit of the month is to make your bed. Meh.

🌺🌸🌼 TKCC 🌼🌸🌺

Welcome to the first keep calm corner of the new thread.

Uploading the last three from my iPad album so I can delete it :o we have:

  • a thought about eye rolling - I totally do this much less now that I’ve stopped seeing a particular person and unfollowed them on FB, I’m actually less stressed too which is rather thought provoking...
  • another relatable adulting observation Blush
  • a fairly strict instruction that I need to take not of, dressed up in a cutesy cartoony font Blush :o

Today’s question is inspired by last night’s TV: If you had to go on a talent show like BGT - assuming you had bags of confidence - what would you do? Sing, tell jokes, juggle with fire... what’s your talent?

I’d probably (badly) belt out one of my favourite songs like Next to me by Imagine Dragons. I’d love to be in a choir though especially doing something like Adiemus by Karl Jenkins.

Phones have a mind of their own don’t they :o zoo knows that better than most Wink

Did some yoga again, just a short video.

Trying to write up the house rules/schedule/chores but it’s frying my brain completely.

givemeacall that made me giggle. Hope you feel better soon.

Lane hope your brain gets de-fried

Here's a photo of forget-me-nots from the garden. Spring flowers always cheer me up.

Right. Got my butt in gear a bit.

💚20 min yoga
🧡read over a chapter of my book sitting in the sun
💚sorted some laundry (WIP)
🧡typed up chore chart and house rules (schedule is WIP)
💚got DS to do some leftover maths sheets
🧡gathered remaining undone maths sheets (he missed about a week and a half before Easter when ill) to become next week’s work
💚collected loads of games we are definitely keeping to be temporarily housed in DD1’s room while we move shelving around... how temporary this is remains to be seen

Caglets have taken said games up for me, and DH has done loads of cleaning under things - pulled the oven etc out.

And why did we end up doing this, you ask?

Because DD1 has lost her actual phone. She has two, as her actual phone doesn’t have room for certain apps etc so the second doesn’t have a SIM. So she can’t contact friends. Goodness knows how it’s happened but at least we’ve got some stuff done?!

No luck with the phone yet! It’s absolutely baffling and she’s very stressed.

The book I’ve been reading is about ADHD, I’m also reading a novel called Revenge of the Tide (bog standard thriller) but I can’t find where the book went 😳

Evening tidying delayed as the quiz got delayed by an hour! Oops

Found you - this must be the earliest point of the month that the Fledglings have needed a second thread!

All OK here, DD is 'back' at school tomorrow so gearing up for that. Not exactly school-related as it's an out-of-school activity but I've been researching music theory online as I'm struggling to help DD with it ATM. Found some possible books and online courses that might help 'cos I'm clueless!

Will attempt to do some catching up with both threads tomorrow Shock

I’m not ready for the start of term. Last minute as always.

Presume you have done the whole ‘find my phone’ thing Lane? Can you get it to play a noise or is the battery dead? Xx

TooStressyTooMessy · 19/04/2020 21:39

Aaaaggh sorry for kisses, I know it’s not the Mumsnet thing Grin. Was catching up with messages then checked this thread so automatically added them.

IWillWearTheGreenWillow · 19/04/2020 21:46

Found you all! Honestly, I stop doing stuff for 3 days and you all run off without me onto a second thread 😁!

Bare minimum for the last couple of days, so I have spent today running round like a loon
♥️ All washing handed out (not done since Thursday... oops)
🧡 Dog walked
💛 DS3's bed changed and remade
💚 DD's room gutted and tidied ready for the new term
💙 DS2's room ditto
💜 2 LOL and dried on the line
🖤 Kitchen, utility and cloakroom swept
♥️ Roast chicken for tea
🧡 Everyone to bed at a reasonable hour to start work at 9am tomorrow
💛 Our bed changed and remade
💚 Coffee pot set up for tomorrow
💙 Bullet journal and homeschooling diary looked out to be on top of things tomorrow morning.
💜 Some of the Fiendish Puzzle completed
🖤Just having a quiet cup of tea in the kitchen before I go up to bed.

TKCC - I have no talent worthy of BGT, but I could organise it so it ran like a slug on greased silk. Would that do? 🤣
