No delayed exit for clutter - March Flylady Thread 2019 for fledglings!

What would a combo of exit and clutter be, clexit? Exclutter? Perhaps we should just stick with declutter ....

Welcome to the March Flylady thread, we’d love to have you with us as we chat and work our way through our houses in March. Flylady uses the zone method of cleaning so we’ll be focusing on a different area of the house each week – we will post daily links to the Launch Pad on the Flylady website which gives all the details of the current Zone, daily missions and babysteps.

Newbies are always welcome so feel free to join in at any time. Flylady does recommend decluttering your house first, so if you are not ready for the cleaning routines yet it’s fine to focus on the decluttering bit – add the babysteps in if you wish.

For anyone having a bad day - I've just seen this on FB and thought of this group.

Take a shower, wash off the day,
Drink a glass of water, make the room dark,
Lie down and close your eyes. Notice the silence.
Notice your heart. Still beating. Still fighting.
You made it, after all. You made it, another day.
And you can make it one more.
You're doing just fine. (Charlotte Eriksson)

Sleep well fledglings, see you tomorrow.

Bowerbird5 · 10/03/2019 06:55

Site wouldn’t let me log on😣 to answer you SC. Been awake since 4pm.
We heard from one of the boys just before midnight as we went to bed. I was awake then for a couple of hours.
I am hoping they are allowed to close the business today as a mark of respect. He was well liked. Mid thirties. So bloody sad. He has fought this for nearly two years and most of that he was really ill. He went and lived with DS2 for a while as his pay stopped.
Thanks SC and Zoo. I don’t know what will happen now. So sad for his family. It was a very rare form.

IVEgottheDECAF · 10/03/2019 07:36

Desperately sad news such as that certainly puts things in to perspective Bower.

I hope you can have a small nap today at least. Flowers

Good luck with the study I've. Brew.

Pouring with rain here. Makes me feel slightly better about not being in town.

Meet0nTheledge · 10/03/2019 08:25

I haven't been posting much this month but have been reading and am very sorry to hear your news Bower Flowers

Need to get my backside in gear in a moment. I am taking DS to both hockey and football today and its blowing a gale so that's going to be fun. House isn't too bad but paperwork is all behind again.

Stilllivinginazoo · 10/03/2019 09:22

All fed
Shop list written
Intermittent cajoling of zoolets getting ready - in progress
Apparently dd2 needs to wear make up for church...

Cagliostro · 10/03/2019 10:33

I managed to put some clothes away last night and dug out some stuff to get rid of too.

This morning I made some banana peanut butter pancakes for the first time in ages and they turned out really well. Shame only the baby and I eat them!

I have a bit of child free time now as DH has taken them all to dance class but of course I’m doing fuck all with that time.

icarriedaturnip · 10/03/2019 10:56

Morning everyone, been up since 6 with the boys. Sunday is my big clean day so am currently scrubbing our bathroom, will order the shop later too. Don’t have any plans today, maybe a walk later one but not 100% sure yet

TooStressyTooMessy · 10/03/2019 12:45

Like the poem Chic Smile.

Today is a day of parties; just been to one now off to another. So not expecting much flying. On the plus side if we are not in the house we can’t wreck it surely???!!

ChicCroissant · 10/03/2019 13:45

So sorry for your loss Bower Flowers

I have pointed out to my family today that coats should be kept in the coat cupboard which is right there when you walk through the door. They are actually walking further to leave it on the end of the stairs or dining room chairs Hmm My aim is to get them to do more of the basics which would leave me more time!

Must continue to badger DD about homework, our usual Sunday afternoon pastime now. Trying to get her to do homework in advance.

Will be back later.

So sorry bowerSad

I'm wondering if I need to get back into some better routines again, house seems to be in constant disarray at the moment and it's stressing me out! Very grumpy today. My uncles funeral is Tuesday and it's on my mind. Makes me feel anxious as some of the family are not on the best terms...

Anyway, I did have a lovely morning with dd we went out together to spend her birthday money and went to the cafe. And now we are off out to a friend's for an hour or so. Which is good because ds has cabin fever I think!

Onwards and upwards everyone!

ChicCroissant · 10/03/2019 16:25

I may just have downloaded a free Kindle book which has the phrase 'follow your detour' in the title because of this thread Grin Not sure if the book is any good but I love the title! Let's follow our detours fledglings!

I have just head butted the kallax in my bedroom while attempting to tidy up. I am too clumsy to tidy

Stilllivinginazoo · 10/03/2019 17:15

Hoping zoolets don't drop with this one..

Done some food shopping
Just realised not washed uniforms

Think I need to return to basics too foxes
Chaos is reigning here again ,not helped by dumpsters dump belongings everywhere

Best get up and chivvied Sunday night showers/pack bags rituals

Emptying freezer for trip farmfoods later in week,so lamb grills with cauliflower and carrots, mash for D's and lil zoo.two serving stewed beef I had tucked in there for do and I with roasted cauliflower, courgettes and parsnips.for dd2 I think simple Mac cheese(cept it's with shells as no macaroni) and the roasted veg as she's eating later with us

Skirts, trousers,pe kits etc bleeping they're done.best move my bum and sort whites/shirts...

Stilllivinginazoo · 10/03/2019 17:18

Uniforms in drier,shirts on
Chopped veg for various dinners

Sitting sipping water feeling delicate i suspect my throats also swollen judge by effort to swallow, but not as painful as glands.this could be lil zoo bug as chests hurting.gahSad
