don't know whether this is a helpful suggestion or not BUT here goes anyway

in the scheme of dividing household chores, why not cunningly assign washing to husbands?

it works for me (although experience has led me to have a separate bag for lingerie which I then do myself - but only one load out of @ 14 per week)

laundry is taking over my life. today i had to buy new sheets and pillow cases for dh bed and i purposedly chose dark colours so the blood wont show so will try and get away with shorter washing cycles. still be clean, but atm cleaning sheets and pillow cases takes time to get al lthe stains out (dh is P e T e r on l v a d btw )

in case you are wondering about blood cod lol!

Rediscover the art of sponging.
In this manner schoolclothes last for ooh.....3 or 4 days at a time (shirts that is)

Also ensure children naked for every meal.

Send out rest to local washerwoman.
