3 loads a day - blimey! Do your lot do loads of sport? Kits to wash? I do about 8/10 loads a week - spread out over 3 days so I am not doing laundry all week. But then I do have some slovenly habits which would earn me some on here.

foxinsocks · 27/06/2007 12:34

3 a day?

that is freakish

Quattrocento · 27/06/2007 12:36

2 loads here. 3 is freakish

May I suggest you dance your way through it? For you cod -

I do 2 loads a day and have 2 boys therefore the laws of mathematics mean that you should be doing 3 loads a day.

is mr cod a giant?

Wilbur · 27/06/2007 12:38

Have you got a big machine? That really helps. As does a dh who will wear his jeans until they walk to the washing machine on their own.

Whoooosh · 27/06/2007 12:39

We do at least two loads a day and sometimes three-and I don't have three boys-I think you are doing very well....

My new washing machine takes 7.5kgs and has changed my life for the better....

smurfgirl · 27/06/2007 12:40

Buy a bigger machine.

God knows how I will cope when we have kids - its never ending here now (we both wear a uniform for work and it creates so much washing).

foxinsocks · 27/06/2007 12:40

doing washing is DULL

One dark wash, one white wash per day here. Any others requiring special treatment or hot washes like towels etc are done in addition to the 2 a day. I don't think you are freakish tbh - sounds about right.

oh yes, you are sorting too much. FAR too much.

I just do whites (every now and then when they are looking mucky) and non-whites or if in a rush, shove it all together and put a scoop of vanish in.

Only other separating I sometimes do is a separate wash for all the towels (because they are so big and bulky and take up washing space).
