I have exactly the same problem - trouble is in out house we are all used to wearing something once then putting it in the wash.
DD1 aged 15 only wers her jeans for one day before they are washed (like me)...

you must spend your life putting stuff away (can now see why you were so pleased with your special washing sorting out thing)

3 loads a day is about normal, you aren't a freak

TooTicky · 27/06/2007 12:58

I have 4 dcs and do one load a day, but some of them are not very big yet. Extra loads for towels/bedding, obv.

putitdown · 27/06/2007 12:58

I do 2 loads a day am I still a slob

foxinsocks · 27/06/2007 12:59

I do 1 wash a day.

Extra washes for bed linen and towels, other than that, can manage at 1 a day.

fishie · 27/06/2007 13:00

yuck i am truly sympathetic it sounds a total pain. and do you have to work out all the different sizes and put them back sepereatly for each ds?

do you save them up and do them all at once. aha, do you have enough storage for dirty stuff?

wow - I do about 5/6 loads a WEEK, granted I don't wash sheets all that often, but that would only be an extra load a week.

OrmIrian · 27/06/2007 13:01

3 loads a day!

Do you ever leave the house?

I do about 6 loads a week and we aren't dirty or smelly ....I don't think

Mine? They are 10, 8, 5 and nearly 2.

foxinsocks · 27/06/2007 13:02

mine are school age - but 1 of them is a girl who, atm, is wearing those checked dresses so I don't have to do the polo shirts wash for her (makes a difference). Dh has to wear a suit so have to wash his shirts but I don't go through clothes v quickly.

I do 1-2 loads every day.

Sort them into whites, pinks, green/blues, darks and then 1 load a week for towels and 2 loads a week for bedding.
