Hello everyone,

We thought you might be interested in a free trial of a new brand called smol, who deliver super concentrated laundry capsules to your door. For just £1 postage, smol will send you nine free capsules so you can give them a try.

Smol capsules are, well, small and they're delivered in special compact packaging too, meaning they will fit through your letterbox and take up less cupboard space. Both bio and non-bio detergent options are available and all of their packaging is 100% recyclable.

Just tell smol how many capsules you use per wash, and how many washes you do per week, and they will work out how often you should receive their 24 pack. After your free trial, a pack of 24 capsules costs just £3.85 - up to 50% cheaper than major brands - and delivery is free. Your first regular delivery will arrive 10 days after your free trial, but you can skip a delivery or cancel at any time.

Claim your nine free washes here.

Mumsnet carries some affiliate marketing links, so if you buy something through our posts, we may get a small share of the sale (more details here).

Brilliant!

Smol is also my favourite word Smile

OdileDeCaray · 17/04/2018 16:27

How annoying that they don't accept PayPal.

How annoying that they don't accept PayPal

Don't they? Well that's me out then. Shame because they sound great.

Mybabystolemysanity · 17/04/2018 16:33

I'd love to sign up for this but no PayPal?

WindyWednesday · 17/04/2018 16:33

How strange. Washing tablets in the post. I don’t do PayPal either, so that’s me out.

HollowTalk · 17/04/2018 16:38

Why do you all want to use PayPal?

Mybabystolemysanity · 17/04/2018 16:39

Security and convenience for me. I'd have signed up on the spot but I can't be bothered to go and find my card etc

SuburbanRhonda · 17/04/2018 16:45

I’d like to try these if they’re not tested on animals. I’ve emailed their customer care team to find out, as there was nothing about animal testing on their website.

OdileDeCaray · 17/04/2018 17:02

If they get lost in the post I am protected by using PayPal so that is why I won't sign up.

OdileDeCaray · 17/04/2018 17:05

SuburbanRhonda

My daughter is a vegan and she uses M&S laundry detergent as not tested on animals.

BlackeyedSusan · 17/04/2018 17:38

smols's small.

ToadOfSadness · 17/04/2018 17:56

Ecover is not tested on animals. Also available unperfumed.

HoomanMoomin · 17/04/2018 18:13

I’m using them for 3 weeks now. They’re not worse than any other detergent. And quite convenient. I definitely recommend them.

SuburbanRhonda · 17/04/2018 18:17

Here’s my reply already:

Hi Xxxxx
Thanks for your enquiry.
I can confirm that smol isn't tested on animals or sold in any markets where animal testing is required.
You may also be interested to know our products are not derived from any animal sources too :)
Have a lovely day.
Paula

Definitely going to give this a try!

NickMyLipple · 17/04/2018 18:18

@SuburbanRhonda in the FAQs it says that they're not tested on animals.

I've signed up - why not?!

SuburbanRhonda · 17/04/2018 18:18

odile

Thanks for that. Most own brand products are cruelty free - I use Tesco washing powder and conditioner normally.

My concern would be for small children and pets with these boxes coming through the postbox. How secure are the boxes? Could a child or pet easily discover and consume these washing tablets before a parent might realise what's happened?

#1 upon delivery store safely

Our postal pack and smol packaging are designed to make them difficult for children and animals to get into. As soon as you receive your postal delivery please remove postal packaging and store capsules safely. If your pet normally chews the post we recommend we do not deliver to your home. We could perhaps deliver instead to a friendly neighbour or your work address?

OdileDeCaray · 18/04/2018 04:48

#3 close the container properly after each use

Always close the container
Our unique smol double lock and re-sealable tamper label are specifically designed to keep your capsules secure.

........

Bet my dogs could open it! Thankfully they don't have access to post and wouldn't be interested in laundry capsules but I do know some dogs who would eat or chew the package regardless of the contents.

My son has eczema and we only use fairy non-bio as recommended by the dermatologist. Cheaper non bio brands irritate him. Is the non bio ok for sensitive skin ? Approved by dermatologists?
