So DD3 is having a party on Friday! I need to have at least the downstairs tidy. My utility room and downstairs loo have to be decluttered.

GoodnightVienna53 Dd is 7. This week was hard as it all became very real because of a couple of incidents. But I’m grateful. She did (conventionally) very bad thing, and the school were so understanding and helped her with strategies to cope instead of using this behaviour. She wasn’t chastised or made to feel worse than she already did. It helped kick my arse out of the denial phase. Now we have had two great days and I’m finding it hard not to slip back into the ‘she’s probably fine’ mindset which doesn’t really help. I’m still very lost, but less so than I was.

Today is clubs day so it’s a short list:
🔲 shower, dress, makeup, hair
🔲breakfast
🔲take Dd to first club (which is a million miles away because her teacher just ‘gets’ her, and so when she moved distant location we followed regardless...) 🚘
🔲go to the shops to try and get Dd an identical, or acceptably similar jacket to the one she had stolen by a girl we know but we can’t say anything because I’m an asshole who didn’t bother to label it lost.
🔲buy even more bras because apparently my chest is a distant cousin of the Incredible Hulk, and while anger is his trigger, pregnancy hormones do it for these (usually teeny) bad boys.
🔲get some delicious treat food for lunch
🔲take Dd to second Club
🔲visit parents (tbc)
🔲bath because my hips are gonna be angry at me by this evening after all the driving, and will punish me with pain!

@NotTakenUsername, I partly understand your feelings, DD1 has social phobia, and school refused from the age of 13. I thought I could fix her, but it wasn't til I realised she wasn't who I thought she should be, she was who she was. Don't get me wrong there has been some really hard days, but I have adjusted my expectations.

Yesterday, was a complete washout. Ended up going out for lunch, having a nap and then going to mind a friends child to let them go to another child's award ceremony!

GoodnightVienna53 I’m interested about “lay out clothes for the week”. What does that mean? Do you check the weather and choose an outfit for each day? I’m intrigued by the idea.

@NotTakenUsername Every week I lay out five outfits for DC; to speed things up for the mornings when I am still half asleep (and to avoid odd combinations on the mornings DH dresses them ()). I find I can lay out five outfits in the middle of the day as Quickly as I can choose one early in the morning.
I'm not working at the minute so I don't bother to do my own but I always do it for work.
I don't find I need to take the weather into consideration much at this time of year but it is trickier in the summer I admit.

Bathroom didn't get done!
But I did gather all my darks together and brought them to a diy launderette beside the garage. It was a 18kg drum, and I still came away with a half black bag.
I did do all dishes, made dinner for DH, and curry for tea, with homemade chips and rice.
In my defence it's a bank holiday here. Hopeful for more productivity tomorrow
