Ho, ho, ho - welcome to the December Flylady thread. We'll be following the Flylady method and enforcing order on our houses. Feel free to join in. The monthly focus for December is pampering Xmas Grin

I'll be posting links to the daily missions, daily focus and the zone cleaning - don't worry about the detailed zone cleaning if you haven't already decluttered, Flylady recommends decluttering first.

You can probably already tell my personal level of dedication to the internet, not the house as I've looked up the Christmas smileys specially. No washing up was done in the making of this post.

I'll post the first December links tonight!

Easy Muppets, you're on fire this morning!

I was a bit miffed last night after we had a phone call from someone, they even said themselves 'I only ring when I need help' Hmm and it never ends well so could do without that at the moment.

I need to go shopping to find an Elf costume/t-shirt/jumper for DD, I have picked out some red and green clothing but apparently this is not quite the same as a proper outfit Hmm

Links next! New zone this week, the bathroom ...

Morning folks and welcome to Newbies/Returnees! :)

Had a huge lie in today, I kept vaguely waking up but felt too achy to move so fell back to sleep. Have been productive since in that DH has done our income assessment (part of the housing thing) and I have taken the very big and scary step of finally applying for PIP :( I have also made an appt with the CAB so they can help me fill in the form.

DD is feeling much better thanks, still coughing but she's happily playing Lego and arguing with DS so clearly over the worst 🙄😂

DH cooked a hot lunch before going to work so will do cold stuff for dinner. Caglets want to make a video with their Lego so I've told them they need to help me with housework first (clothes away plus some general decluttering/tidying).

Cagliostro · 12/12/2016 13:58

Right. Caglets happily playing downstairs while I sort through a couple of BRCs (for the benefit of any newbies - these are Bags/Boxes of Random Crap which are often created during hurried panic tidying sessions!). I've sorted it into piles and the Caglets can do the running about putting everything in the right place as I've not got the energy for that!

Muppetslikecoco · 12/12/2016 15:41

Ta da!
The laundry load has been sorted and put away
Washed up the snack stuff
Cleaned the bathroom and chucked out a carrier bag from the cabinet (how have I accumulated that much lotion?!)
We have leftover spaghetti bolognese from last night for tea so that's easy
Mopped hallway

foxessocks · 12/12/2016 16:07

Ta das
Dishwasher emptied
Washing up
Kitchen sides wiped
Rubbish out to bin
Bottles to bottle bank
Food to food bank
Wrapped some of dh Christmas presents
Got dd new shoes
Ran some other errands
Room rescue bedrooms
Put laundry away
Hung washing up
Put washing on

Ds had to have his jabs today which was horrible as usual but he seems fine at the moment.

We have been out all day pretty much so dd is watching TV now and I'm trying to get ds off to sleep. Dh on his way home so will have to start dinner soon (although we are having pizza tonight so just a case of putting it in the oven hooray!)

I treated myself to a Christmas dinner in a cafe today Blush it wasn't much more expensive than a sandwich so I thought why not? And I see December is about pampering...

Cagliostro · 12/12/2016 16:17

People seem to be productive today! I haven't really achieved much at all this afternoon but I figure it's better than nothing. Slightly.

Cagliostro · 12/12/2016 19:06

Motivation slipping away by the minute here this evening. Kick up the bum please Fledglings!

Muppetslikecoco · 12/12/2016 19:22

This is the best motivation I can find Grin

Cruising towards Christmas and the New Year - it's the December Flylady thread.
Cagliostro · 12/12/2016 20:44

Well ok then :o

I have, now that the Caglets are in bed (not asleep, but in bed being quiet/reading etc), got back to sorting through some BRCs. Slow going. But it all helps right? Please tell me it all helps...

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 12/12/2016 21:15

It all helps!

Hi everyone and welcome to newbies.

Not got a huge amount done today but was at work doing an extra shift so am happy with that as was for a bit of extra money and I try to do them every so often for experience. Tired now so I think it will be a case of the minimum and collapse. No study done today. Must try to get half an hour or so done tomorrow.

Muppetslikecoco · 12/12/2016 21:22

Sorry, I just thought it was funny, but I'm terrible at funny, as you can now see...

Every little does help Smile

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 12/12/2016 21:26

Muppets I like it Smile. Nothing will motivate me tonight though - have had enough and am ready to collapse!

Cagliostro · 12/12/2016 21:27

No I did genuinely find it funny :o :o

Right I'd better put away the stuff I've just sorted into piles as otherwise it'll blatantly just get swept into a box when I'm too tired to bother

foxessocks · 12/12/2016 21:27

It all helps cag! Just five minutes makes a difference, I'm always amazed how much I can do in five minutes once I've actually bothered to get up off the sofa! Anyway, don't feel bad, I often have a productive Monday and then it's all down hill from there so you probably do more spread out over the week Smile

Cagliostro · 12/12/2016 22:26

Oh I know aaaall about productive Mondays and down hill slides... Xmas Blush

Right I have put away various things, with short rests in between

CotswoldStrife · 12/12/2016 23:59

Sorry, will post links ago tomorrow morning - DD has earache, hope it's not the start of an ear infection Sad, will watch closely!

Muppetslikecoco · 13/12/2016 08:17

Zoo you were up and going early this morning! I quite enjoy sorting toys but so far it's just a duplo box and a mega bloks. I'm not sure I'll be quite as organised as you when it comes to different sets Shock

Ta da!
Up, dressed and made the bed.
Breakfast has been eaten and cleaned up
Sink shined
Laundry started and rebooted
DC dressed and ready

To do
Finish laundry
Wrap last of presents
Detail cleaning on DS room
15 minute declutter DS room
I think I'll introduce a hot spot today too. The table is our worst.
A trip to the park.

CotswoldStrife · 13/12/2016 09:41

Good morning all, DD seems to be defeating the earache which is good - no discharge and the pain has dropped a lot. I think it's just congestion so as well as the Calpol I'm giving her nasal drops to reduce the congestion. I'd forgotten the GP suggested this a couple of years back after a couple of previous ear infections requiring antibiotics Blush Although she's had a really bad 'head'-type cold she hasn't had a temperature so I don't think it is a virus.

Again (not ago!) some impressive work early on Fledglings (sealion cough is brilliant zoo I know just what you mean!) I hope your work rubs off on me today.

HI everyone.
The end of the painting is in sight. One more coat on the wall this afternoon, skirting boards tomorrow and the new furniture should arrive on Friday. Because of the decorating deadline the house is a pit again so I'm tackling the kitchen, bathroom and living room. I reckon 20 minutes on each (max) should sort it.
I've also found a job to apply for with a deadline just after Christmas so I'm going to take the tablet to Starbucks and start the application. Also try and finish the dreaded Christmas shopping, food shop and do my daily trip to b and q.

Glad your dd's earache is better-I've had ear issues (small canals so prone to wax and infection) and there's absolutely nothing like ear pain. Flowers

Cagliostro · 13/12/2016 09:48

The table is our worst too! It's an embarrassment.

Hoping for a productive day here. Got really pissed off at the Caglets yesterday evening as I realised they had forgotten to do one of the very simple things I'd asked them to! So I told them (they were already in bed) no TV at all today until they have helped A LOT. Xmas Angry

Cagliostro · 13/12/2016 12:52

Phew the Caglets have actually helped a lot this morning. I'm quite impressed. Having a break now as DD is knackered (effects of the virus I guess) then back to it!
