Hi all!

Welcome to a brand new month in which we (in a very casual way) follow the FlyLady method to try and banish CHAOS (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome), and to declutter in order to remove an excess of STUFF (Something That Undermines Family Fun).

A daily BabyStep, plus missions, daily focuses and weekly zones break our time into manageable chunks - all helped by lots of supportive chat and a Naughty Corner stocked with goodies.

All welcome!

PurpleDaisies · 16/11/2016 22:38

Hi all,
The cough had improved but I'm still knackered-I fly tomorrow at stupid o clock until Monday. It's been a good day for getting lots of holiday related things done out of sheer necessity. I am more than ready for bed!
The guinea pig looks fine apart from being way too skinny-she's a lovely little thing with a cheeky personality. We're waiting for CT scan and blood results. Hopefully it'll be a treatable problem or something that just clears itself. At least she's really happy in herself so we're not at the point of difficult decisions yet.

ScuttlbuttHarpy · 16/11/2016 23:23

cag inspections are the worst, when we were in private we had the worst cow ever come out for it, I was working ft, dp was working ft and nights, and the kids weren't helping a bit, I'd got an email that I didn't get round to reading, telling me when they were coming and she arrived, got dp out of bed and commented on the pots not being washed and the boys room not being tidy and the stairs not being hoovered. (bear in mind, this was all she could pick up on) and told us she'd be back in a fortnight to see if we'd picked up the hoover, she was also the cow that dealt with us when we moved out and mentioned the state of the carpet on the stairs in reference to the inspection, she was such a snooty cow ggrrr peed me right off. I'm sure yours will be fine though especially as you've been there a while.

I have got a crackly chest, cough and cold. And for the first time in my life I am losing my voice.

but today (as the housing association is inspecting this week) me and dp have cleaned the house from top to bottom, we have also tech banned ds2 and 3 for not bringing all their clothes down on sunday and lying to me about it. Thats standing for 3 days, and if they get bored I've told them there is homework reading and de-cluttering to be getting on with. If they kick off, they're getting an extra day added.

I'm mean when I'm ill.

ScuttlbuttHarpy · 16/11/2016 23:24

purple hope your guinea pig gets better.

Motivation lacking here today

Kitchen is semi tidy. Most of the pots are washed , just pans soaking. Table and two worktops are clean and clear. Floor is swept. Hob needs cleaning, floor needs mopping - can wait til tomorrow.

Living room is a toy explosion. Not going there tonight.

Both bathrooms need good scrub

Dcs bedrooms tidy, washing all away. Need hoovering tomorrow.

Clutter dumped on landing. Landing needs hoovering.

Our bedroom half tidy, surfaces need wiping. Washing all away, bed made. Needs hoovering.

Right now I am off to bed!

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 17/11/2016 22:38
