My house/Zoflora

1000 replies

TheLionQueen · 20/10/2016 11:28

Posting here for traffic.
My house is a bit horrid. I have pets and a messy DH (who does get on board when I have a proper 'spruce' but doesn't notice the daily grime). I can keep on top of genuine rubbish but clutter builds easily. I know nobody can sort this out for me and I am working on it.
What bothers me most is smell. Although it's clean ish, it doesn't smell fresh. I do open windows for a bit every day.
I bought some miracle potion Zoflora yesterday and already mop the floors with it. I want to know what I can do with it as almost like a reed diffuser/air freshener?
I don't put the heating on much (have a log burner) so don't think putting it on radiators would work. I do hoover relatively regularly so can try the cotton wool trick. Anything else I could try? Is it really safe to spray on curtains? Any other tips for a pet household for smell? Thanks in advance!

slinky Shock

Literally all the flavours I can't get locally!

GaryGilmoresEyes · 02/11/2016 18:21

I want Twilight Garden! I thought it was just an urban myth as I've never seen it here. I popped into town on my lunch break and picked up a cheeky but zesty Spring Bouquet and a mellow, warm bodied Winter Spice.

SlinkyB · 02/11/2016 18:41

Moz I'm in a small market town in Wiltshire! I almost bought one of each Blush

Mozfan1 · 02/11/2016 19:32

You DIDNT?! You should have snapped them up! I'm jealous. Looks like I'm moving to Wiltshire then

Manumission · 02/11/2016 19:35

Oh slinky give us a clue which Wiltshire market town! Please?

Manumission · 02/11/2016 19:44

Oh god I'm actually this excited and altering driving routes to increase ZoFlo stocks! Blush

While it was just trudging round different ships in town, I felt I had it under control but this is addiction now isn't it? Shock Proper addiction Hmm

CurbsideProphet · 02/11/2016 19:49

Carol I don't know if it's available in Australia, but it would be worth the effort of trying to get your hands on Grin

CarolsSecretCookieRecipe · 03/11/2016 01:35

Curbside, I found somewhere online that will send it from UK to Aus! Expensive postage but am sure it will be worth it. (Am not going to mention to anyone IRL that I've just paid for a bottle of disinfectant to fly to the other side of the globe...)

CurbsideProphet · 03/11/2016 09:48

Grin Your secret is safe here Wink

Did everyone see that another thread about zoflora has appeared?!

Mozfan1 · 04/11/2016 13:37

I saw one slagging it off, phillistines

BroomstickOfLove · 04/11/2016 13:45

I read a Zoflo thread a few years ago, and bought a bottle and didn't like it and threw it out. And then I read this thread and succumbed to the madness and bought a bottle and was unimpressed. But when DS threw up all over my bedroom floor at 1am, I was very glad that I had some around around. I will never be a Zoflo lover, but I will keep a bottle at the back of my under the sink cupboard for emergencies.

MadisonAvenue · 04/11/2016 13:49

I'm hooked. I'd had a bottle in the cupboard for years and had used it (very) occasionally in the wheelie bins, just a few drops in the bottom to make them smell fresher.
I saw this thread the other day though so picked up the Cranberry and Orange in Poundland this week. I've diluted it and put it in a spray bottle for the kitchen surfaces and the smell is amazing, and it lasts too (though I don't need to tell you lot do I).

Katietwinmum · 04/11/2016 19:58

New Zoflora convert - it's great . Worked a treat in the steam mop and cleanew all round sink and kitchen. Trying the Coton wool trick on the radiators tonight. Got the rose and country garden both smell lovely!

Sonnet · 04/11/2016 21:12

Loving this thread.
Used zoflora for years after picking it up on mumsnet Smile

I found 'Rose' last week - never ever come across this flavour before! It was amazing. All gone now so back on the cinnamon one!
I have Zoflora for every season Blush

TheLionQueen · 05/11/2016 07:48

My linen finally ran out so I've moved on to springtime- it's lovely and fresh! I had a proper deep clean session downstairs yesterday and my zoflo helped me along.
Have visitors today so going to try a few of our tricks of the trade Wink diluted Zoflora in hot water in the sink a while before they come, and will give the curtains a quick spritz too. Oh and a few drops down the loo!
