Ok, so as there is no thread, and I can't remember or find a volunter for this month I declare summer mode operational.

This means:

  1. You are still welcome to join and post
  1. If you want there to be links and no one has posted them, feel free to post them.
  2. As technical thread leader I shall be hanging out in the naughty corner bar
  3. We'll still answer questions for anyone wanting information on the fly lady system and support each other. It's just a little more relaxed.

And with that, bring on July and crazy pants school holiday stuff...

Sorry people are still poorly Zoo :(

Cotswold I remember that end of term craziness all too well. Christmas and summer, just awful! How frustrating that the activities might change day, that sounds rather inconsiderate Confused.

Back to the paper box I go. DCs will be happy later that they get to jump up and down in the recycling bin later.

Too true, zoo, too true (all that rhyming makes me sound like a Dr Seuss book!) :)

The DCs just jumped in the bin and it's all squished down, lots of room left. I've got the bulk of it sorted out now, but the actual shredding will take a while.

Dinner done for the kids, not sure what I'm having yet. Need to shove the kids (actually, since you call yours Zoolets I'm going to call mine Caglets! :)) in the bath, and they need to clear up the Lego as when they've got the train stuff out the room just deteriorates so fast!

Stilllivinginazoo · 10/07/2016 18:45

Ah lego-so entertaining but makes you swear when step on it.ditto playmobil!!Smile

Caglets?love it!!
Zoolets wanted cereal,so got oatbix. Eating cherries now
I will probably jyat have a sandwich latery sinus hurt and feel bit like been stamped all over so foods not that urgent in my priority's at mo.must head back to table or pandemonium will be imminent unsupervised......

Waves to all. Not much flying here, but some gardening and much sneezing. Enjoyed the Tennis and had a nice dinner.

Lots of school chaos tomorrow and a mad kitten tonight!

We have had a sport free day! If DH wasn't working it would've been on the telly all day for the various events.

DCs driving me crazy with their, er, zest for life today. I would like to lie in a darkened room. Angry

Instead I have been getting through that massive paper box. I have thrown away all sorts like old school reports, what was the point in keeping them? It is nice to remember that I was smart once Wink but TBH the overwhelming feeling I get from them is sadness (for those who don't know my background, my childhood was Not Good). So they're in the recycling bin. I feel a little lighter. :)

Oh and I must update the weekly planner. Otherwise I will forget AGAIN that it's book club tomorrow for DD, and at the same time I have a doctor appt. Need to sort out books to take back, and also finally write my thankyou/goodbye card to work as I'll drop that in. They probably think I'm horribly rude for not having done it earlier. Blush

Morning.

to do plan
fuck all

You know a planned day of rest. So of course that means my ta da list looks like this:

ta da
1 load washing
sort through random pots of paints
make flapjack - a triple batch
deal with stressed child
sort out mobile
drive mileage (but that I had to do even on a rest day)
air out the house
move a chest of drawers
find the paint/dust sheet bag.
clean said paint sheet bag and leave to dry ready for putting clean paint sheets away.
Find charger and charge phone with new earlier alarm set.

I should be folding and ironing but there is something going on with measuring wiring in the lounge that quite frankly I am staying out of the way of. Hmm

Not exactly a rest day but there is sooo much that needs to be done a rest day is more than a little optomistic

Einstein, the first time I read your post I thought of making stress relieving flapjacks, by the third one I was positively drooling!

DD and I fell out badly this afternoon. This does not happen often. She did something she wasn't supposed to (and knew it).

Not much house progress, but did take DD out (before falling out) and then did shopping. Now sulking with a glass of wine and will head to bed shortly. We are obviously in new territory with the 'friends know better than parents' thing SadGrin We'll both get over it in time!

Chocolate hope you are doing OK now.

I'd better get on with some stuff and then hide the laptop before DD comes home - she's not going to be using it for a few days and then under strict supervision She's got a busy week so won't miss it too much lies

Went shopping but left the list at home, always a sure-fire method of needing to go back again.
