Woo hoo! It's the second Bullet Journal thread! For the benefit of newbies - Bullet Journal is a brilliant way to organise your whole life in a lovely notebook. Perfect for anyone who has tried every app and every scheduling system but just can't seem to get on top of things. Also perfect for lovers of beautiful stationery and especially for people who like lists!

Sooo - get out your fineliners and your washi tape! Stroke your Leuchtturms! And get all that stuff that's whizzing round in your head out onto paper instead!

I rather like that blog, Kew. The tone is ever so slightly over-eager-chatty irritating but the ideas are good, and the way she describes her former problems with keeping her house tidy and clean sound very familiar Blush. That feeling of 'I'm an intelligent, professional person who manages function well in the rest of life. Why can I not keep my house in order?!'

Laundry is my number one nightmare. I hadn't even thought of just having one laundry day like she does, instead of (in theory) doing a load per day. Might try it... My current system certainly isn't working.

I'm trying to re-Kondo atm but I don't think I got rid of enough stuff the first time, so just re-tidying it all Kondo-style might not be enough.

One thing I got from the Kondo UK FB group was the idea of putting my higgledy piggledy collapsing mountain of tupperware boxes and lids in... wait for it.... a drawer instead of a cupboard. Genius. No more cascade of boxes onto the floor when I open it up.

All of my Tupperware is in a drawer. It is great when first in there but, after a rummage, the damn things stop the drawer shutting....

mercifulTehlu · 27/02/2016 09:12

Ah - a flaw in the system! Mine are all tidy atm but probably not for long.

I haven't indulged in any of the fancy stationery so far but I couldn't resist these index tabs

CutYourHairAndGetAJob · 27/02/2016 09:19

I bought this tupperware and chucked all the rest away. It is nice and tidy in my cupboard now although the quality isn't amazing (as you'd expect for the price).

whatsonyourplate · 27/02/2016 09:36

High five Doreen! Yay. Your bojo skills must have blown them away. Wink

SoupDragon · 27/02/2016 09:48

bojo skills

That sounds like she did something entirely different to just whipping out her notebook...

P1nkP0ppy · 27/02/2016 10:09

Congratulations Doreen, clearly stunned them with your BuJo skills! 💐

Happily setting up my March pages today - I love being a BuJoWa!
I'm earmarking pages for all the 2016 renovations and decorating plans I have whizzing around in my head (perhaps they will actually materialise as a coherent plan?)

mercifulTehlu · 27/02/2016 11:30

Congratulations Doreen! I hope I'm next to find one...

And of course I now already have a double page for planning the new job where I can jot down all my ideas. I will be in charge of a community garden and giving it some pazazz and producing plants and seeds for sale and running training sessions and teaching groups. So all of those will need a page each.

Tee hee.

Iggi999 · 27/02/2016 11:53

Congrats Doreen! Smile
I looked forward to getting up this morning and sitting with a coffee and a bujo. In a rush now to finish Feb's list before March begins!

ZappDingbat I vary my log from daily to a few days at a time or weekly depending on what's going on and how much I want to get done. Eg, on a work day, my main aims are to get healthy food on the table, packed lunches made, one load of laundry done, kitchen cleared and to have us all where we need to be at the right time with the right kit. (Every evening has me taxi-ing to clubs with the kids)

Thanks for this you've solved a problem for me. I've just started my BuJo and have the future log and monthly calendar/task list in place, although I haven't filled them in yet. I was wondering how to best do the daily logs. My working days can be from 2 hours a day to a 15 hour day. These are rare (although I have more this month) but it's not unusual for me to do a 12 1/2 or 13 1/2 hour day. This means that some days I won't be able to do anything while other days I'll have plenty of time so I was wondering how best to do my daily log. However, doing it the way you are will help considerably because that way I can list a few tasks over a few days will give me a bit of flexibility as to when to do it and I don't have gaps when I'm at work all day.

I'll think about the highlighters too, they may be helpful.
