I've just found out about this fab way of organising your life, thanks to a kind poster on the 'people who are efficient ' thread. I was wondering if any other MNers are Bullet Journalers? here is the website if anyone's interested.

It's only a couple of days since I started my journal, but I can already see that it's going to revolutionise my ability to be organised. I've tried loads of apps, lists etc in the past, but have never really hit on a system that worked for me. I have very high hopes of this one though (plus it involves pretty stationery Smile )!

OnePlan I suggest stroking it gently for an hour or two before actually opening it. Then stroke it a while longer before taking the plunge and writing in it. At least, that's what I did with mine. Grin
I forgot to bring my BuJO to work today. I'm only working half a day and had two main fixed commitments, so don't really need it, but I feel as if I've left half an arm behind!

OnePlanOnHouzz · 23/02/2016 13:42

Tee hee ! Been too busy to actually do much more than open the packet ! But should get some time to admire it a bit later this afternoon while my work drawings render ( and means I can't do anything on the computer while its doing it !)
Can't wait !!!

mercifulTehlu · 23/02/2016 14:41

Can't believe we're nearly at 1000 posts . I shall try to come up with a jaunty title for the next thread, but if anyone thinks of anything suitably inspiring, give us a shout!

Welcome, knitted - does the fact that you lurked for more than 900 posts before posting mean that you will be similarly hesitant before putting pen to BuJo? Grin

I think I've just landed myself a full time teaching job, starting imminently so my ability to stay calm and organised may be about to be severely tested. .

How about Bullet Journal 2: The Stationery Strokers

or Bullet Journal: Collection 2

or Free your mind with the Bullet Journalers /BuJo Wankers Grin

I quite like the idea of having the number of the thread in the title - easier to find.

I quite like the idea of having the number of the thread in the title - easier to find.

Only if you create an index thread linking to them all...

OrangeSunset · 23/02/2016 15:47

Slightly off-topic, but how do you all manage family tasks?

DH and I have a shared wunderlist, but it's a bit restrictive.

I put my items into my BuJo, but we still need a way of tracking joint stuff - things we need to arrange for holiday, financial stuff to sort etc. Have thought about using Trello as its pretty visual and you can add links, due dates etc

Any suggestions?

TheVeryThing · 23/02/2016 16:15

I'm trying to work that out too Orange.
At the moment, I'm the one who does most of those things but that is definitely not the answer!

cankleofglitter · 23/02/2016 16:21

Congratulations Tehlu

I have bought more pens...in my defence they were 2 for 1 in Rymans so one was actually free yes? So I got 4 free pens this morning...to go with the four I paid for...

I now have a work bujo too. I have also converted my husband so I am doing a bujo teaching session this evening.

nattyknitter · 23/02/2016 16:32

You need this merciful

I'd vote for BujoWankers, as I always say it in a in Inbetweeners manner.

RainbowDashed · 23/02/2016 16:59

BuJo wankers gets my vote too (as I do believe I coined the phrase upthread Grin )

LOVE the idea of an index thread. We really should, shouldn't we?

mercifulTehlu · 23/02/2016 17:10

I love the idea of an index thread too! It wouldn't be too onerous to set up either - we'd only need to add to the index every 1000 posts!

OP posts:
mercifulTehlu · 23/02/2016 17:15

I do like the BuJo wankers but I worry about putting off those who dislike sweary thread titles and also, nobody would have a clue what it meant except us Grin - thereby making it maybe less appealing to newbies.

Maybe I'm overthinking this... Blush

MyVisionsComeFromSoup · 23/02/2016 17:15

think someone called one of my posts the ultimate in BuJo wankery [proud] so my vote goes to BuJo wankers too Smile.

mercifulTehlu · 23/02/2016 17:25

Fine, you irreverent lot! Maybe the obscure title will intrigue people...

MissingPanda · 23/02/2016 19:32

BuJo wankers sounds good 😊

Babieseverywhere · 23/02/2016 19:50

BuJo Wankers will get a high click return....YY to index thread

Babieseverywhere · 23/02/2016 19:56

I have decided who ever suggested Washi tape needs shooting...it has took me days to relabel all my pages with pretty tape !

Plus I now have a min BuJo which is where I copy out my daily to do list for actually taking OUTSIDE the house. Where as my Important BuJo stays IN the house. I know it still has a lot of potential to be damaged or lost inside but I can't bring myself to carry it with me.

Mookbark · 23/02/2016 20:07

I want to be a BuJo wanker Grin. Like a normal wanker, but more organised and with a plethora of pens.

AtiaoftheJulii · 23/02/2016 20:31

Called in to Lidl this evening and they had several packs of different write-on-able labels - bought a few thinking they might brighten up my BuJo without any effort on my part!

Iggi999 · 23/02/2016 20:41

I had to buy a couple of new "nice" biros in Sainsburys tonight as the pen loops are actually very narrow and won't fit my chunkier pen. Almost bought a new, shiny A4 book for work but will continue using my current one till its done! Two many bujos spoil the broth I'm thinking..

Babieseverywhere · 23/02/2016 20:42

Look what I did to my nice purple bujo, lol.

I think I am getting into the swing of things now and have three pages for indexes!

My most colourful page.

I am up to page 36....This journal is not going to last too long, if I keep thinking of lists to add.

So... shall I start the new thread now, or is it the done thing to wait until we get really near the 1000 mark? I've never needed to start a follow-on thread before !

BYOSnowman · 23/02/2016 20:56

Do it now!
