Hi everyone. I've been busy today but not with my own housework unfortunately. I went to slimming world this morning and cleaned my sister's house and went to Costco this afternoon. My house is therefore a state but I can't be bothered doing anything tonight, I'll leave it til tomorrow and tomorrow's list will therefore be:

  • strip beds
  • remake beds
  • washing
  • bathe toddler
  • fold and put away clean washing
  • tidy bedrooms and landing
  • dust bedrooms
  • Hoover bedrooms, landing and stairs
  • clean and mop both bathrooms
  • tidy living room
  • wash dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • empty bins
  • dust and polish living room
  • sweep and mop throughout downstairs
  • clean and mop downstairs bathroom
  • go through girls' summer clothes to see what they need for their holiday
  • go holiday clothes shopping with parents
  • make spaghetti and meatballs for tea
  • clean kitchen after tea
  • buy bubble bath and eggs from shop

I'm hoping my body clock is going to cooperate with me waking naturally around 6.30am so I can make a good start on downstairs before the kids get up and start pestering me!

willhazboz · 20/05/2016 20:26

Well the wheels came off today! Dh was busy all day building a playhouse (which is actually a full size summerhouse-we decided it has more longevity!) for dd1s birthday present (her birthday isn't till August) and I had both children on my own all day. I flapped. I did no housework. I did do hand washing. I'm going to have a takeaway and a beer and pretend today didn't happen.

Afreshstartplease · 21/05/2016 07:12

Ah will you will get used to it!

Once this baby is here I will at times be alone with all FOUR

This is obviously what is wrong with my housekeeping skills

Good morning all
I've been a busy bee last night and this morning as nothing got done yesterday!

Last night I
Gutted ds room
Scrubbed kitchen again and bathroom

This morning I've
Cleaned bathroom and kitchen again
Pulled everything out kitchen and scrubbed the floor with bleach (think I've overdosed on it)
Hoovered everywhere
Mopped kitchen and bathroom
Dusted
Made all beds

Now I'm going to iron while I wait on my new washing machine being delivered then need to tackle some washing then off to a friends to watch football

Afreshstartplease · 21/05/2016 10:38

Skivvy! I'm in awe

Fresh I find one is a handfull let alone four!

This morning i have
*made beds
*washed dishes
*wiped kitchen
*wiped bathroom
*put a washing load on

House is not looking too bad at the mo so for the rest of the day i'll just try to keep the place tidy and do some more laundry. Weather is rubbish here today so planning on staying in today and play with ds and perhaps watch a dvd Smile

shanhill · 21/05/2016 14:22

I'm looking for good ways to keep the windows clean. I clean the outdoor ones only like 4 times a year (I'm lazy), and they're been getting clouded a lot recently.

Still on the lookout for a good and well laid out step by step method to clean the outdoor windows.

willhazboz · 22/05/2016 07:38

I found one a handful too celeste - God knows why I thought a second would be a good idea Wink she is rather lovely though!
Fresh you are doing amazing if your house isn't a health hazard with 3 children and pregnant!

Yesterday I managed to Hoover the living room and the usual hand wash and dishwasher jobs. I also ran the Hoover through the kitchen and hall. Dh changed the bed, did 3 loads of washing emptied all the bins and took the eldest out so I could sleep. Yep 4 days before he goes back to work and he starts helping Hmm

We have visitors this morning and then going for a roast at my parents so won't have much housework time. Might try to give the bathroom a quick go over. And dust the living room.

Afreshstartplease · 22/05/2016 08:17

I got a fair bit done yesterday, I joined in another thread and was setting myself three tasks to do then having a break. It seemed to work quite well so I think I'll try it again today.

First three -

Breakfast pots
Wipe table
Put wash on

Just killed a fly that has been buzzing round downstairs. There were two of them but i think one took the sensible option and left through the window i left open for them to leave but the second one stupidly just landed on my nose Angry I cornered him and hit him mid air with a rolled up magazine Grin

Also since my last post i have put new bedding on the beds.

Kim82 · 22/05/2016 10:49

Morning everyone, sounds like you're all having very productive mornings! So far today I have showered and dressed, tidied the beds, emptied the bins and put them out front for collection, put the washer on and made a cooked breakfast. Dh is currently washing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen. Still to do today is:

  • put clothes into the dryer (washer has almost finished)
  • more washing
  • fold and put away towels in dryer from yesterday
  • dust and polish living room
  • make lunch for girls and clean up afterwards (me, Dh and Ds just had a huge cooked breakfast so won't need lunch)
  • put kids new clothes away that we bought yesterday
  • sweep and mop throughout downstairs
  • Hoover bedrooms, landing and stairs
  • clean and mop both bathrooms
  • dust bedrooms
  • iron uniforms
  • cook a roast for tea

I didn't get much of my list done yesterday so it all still needs doing today. I have a pounding headache too which isn't going to help matters. Oh well, washer has finished so I'd better get off my backside.

rabbit123 · 22/05/2016 10:54

I'm dead. I've just done everything. I'm in the middle of 6 loads washing, vacuumed the whole house, dusted the living room, dining room & bedrooms, mopped the kitchen, both bathrooms & the utility room, cleaned the bathrooms and now I'm about to clean the windows.

Afreshstartplease · 22/05/2016 10:57

Reload washer
Clean Hob
Hoover stairs

And

bin lid cleaned
inside kitchen window
kitchen window sill
inner back door glass
cleaned sink

Got a cut carried away listening to 90s music haha!
