morning!
haven't done yeaterday's mission or the home blessing yet!

Jelley · 21/11/2006 07:06

Morning all.Up since 5, and ds is now asleep(just as dds are about to wake up)

Marvin, The thing abou t being a parent is it never stops. I still rely on mine(I'm 37 and they are buying me an oven for Christmas as we can't afford one)
I'm sure they would rather you asked for help that got more ill trying to manage alone.

I remember my 90 yr old grandmother phoning to remind my aunt to eat properly when my uncle died a few years ago.

Do you not want to increase the ads due to side effects?

Sorry, I'm rambling

Tort - when will you get a decision re Christmas?

morning FLY babes....you were up early Jelley!!!

I am hopefully going to have no distractions today! I have dd1's friends over after school (we went there last week so they are comming here this week)I need to do some serious cleaning!
You can only just see whats on the tele amoungst all the smudges!
dd2 pulled a spiderplant on herself last night...it was waiting to be yanked but she did it with style! not a single bit of plant left in tact!!!
I took her up for a bath as the soil was everywhere!...it was even in her nappy!!!!!!!!!
Anyway...all I could do was dust pan and brush it up as ds had fallen asleep...so couldn't hoover...
Thats the first thing on my list this morning!!!!

catch you all later xx

satinshoes · 21/11/2006 08:09

Morning all.

I have about 25 toys on our bedroom floor so a '27 fling boogie' should be pretty easy

Tired this morning even though I slept ok, and DD even slept through which was great.

Tumble Tots for us this morning and then a quiet afternoon so I'll do some housework then. Have a good afternoon all.

ludalightsandlanterns · 21/11/2006 08:23

Why does this always have to happen to me????

dd1 has just pulled the label off(and ripped a big hole)in her....wait for it....big squashy cat toy filled with polystyrene balls! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Not your average polystyrene balls...oh no....microscopic tiny teeny balls...which we are all now covered in!!!! They are super static!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is a big pool of them on the floor where all the kids were playing with them before anyone even decided to tell me about it!!!!
Then I put the said toy in a carrier bag BIG MISTAKE!!!!!! seemed to just charge the little static balls up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

My kithchen is now covered too!!!!

OH GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
House full of teeny static balls and pot plant soil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

{{{SOB SOB SOB}}}

Oh luda, what a nightmare!! I am afraid I have no suggestions for easy clearing up....

Dustpan and brush perhaps?

Right, have walked ds to school, dishes are soaking in sink prior to washing up, so my to do list for today is:

Laundry - put on one load, sort and put away yesterdays load
Washing up
Swish and swipe bathroom, clean toilet
Make pizza dough - am doing home made pizza for tea tonight as dh working away
Tidy, dust and vac lounge and dining room
Mission

Mmmm, knowing me there is no way I will get on with all of this today, am just too lazy....grrrrr

Have a great morning all!

peegeeweegee · 21/11/2006 10:21

Hello, where are you all

Right, am talking to myself here, but will update my fab progress!!!

Right, I have:
Done the washing up
Put on a load of laundry
Sorted, folded and put away yesterdays load of laundry
Flung boogied in the bedroom
Swished and swiped the bathroom and cleaned the toilet...

Feels fabbo to have done so much already, now having a well-earned cuppa...

Hazel, how are you feeling now?
And Tree, are you still around, I hope you are!

Jelley · 21/11/2006 10:27

I guess your whole house is going to get a really good hoover Luda. Can't think how else you could clear them all up.

I've been sat here since the school run, so am now off to do bedroom fling.

satinshoes · 21/11/2006 11:10

luda - nigthmare!!

peegee - you're doing fab!

we've just got in and DD wants to watch Tarzan DVD which means I can dust downstairs and sort out the washing.

ludalightsandlanterns · 21/11/2006 11:12

peegee and jelley....thanks for your concern
It got worse!...put a load of washing in the machine...opened the powder draw...put tablets in...just started pouring the conditioner in and dd2 waddles up and shuts the draw!...conditioner pored on the floor and slopped out all down the machine!

Happy to say however... all cleared up now!
My nerves are just about settling again!

God only knows how I'm going to get all the balls out of the hoover cylinder! its plastic (dyson)
Pot plant all hoovered up too!
Will have to empty it before dh cops it!

Jelley · 21/11/2006 11:17

I've just done todays and yesterdays mission
just ned to hoover, and my bedroom is ok(as long as you don't look in the drawers)

Also did the bathroom, so I'm off to feedd baby, then I'll fill the washing machine and start downstairs.

dont need to do this as we only moved into our bedroom last week (swapped with daughter so both girls can share the bigger room) and it is barely 2.5m X 2.5m in size without the bed in so no room for clutter! lol

Sorry, I have a Brownie, and a rainbow (you can imagine how I love wednesdays, walking backwards and forwards all evening) that is me growling, not grinningg!

I've hoovered under the bed and put the washing on.
Time for lunch I think.

fannyannie · 21/11/2006 12:20

right - so far today have done a load of washing - put away all my ironing from yesterday and washed the voiles from the lounge (yes I know they're not 'cool' - but our lounge window is 3ft from the road - and RIGHT next door to a school - so I don't really want the whole world looking into my house on a daily basis ). Needed doing as they'd got mouldy/mildewy at the bottom , going to clean the windows in their too - and get rid of the mould/mildew.

Have emptied the dishwasher too.

Going to do yesterdays mission this afternoon and do the 27 fling boogie - could really do with one of those. - actually I'll probably make it a 54 fling one it's that bad LOL.

ludalightsandlanterns · 21/11/2006 12:30

fannyannie...what is this 27 fling boogie??

I like the sound of it anyway...is it 27 mins of dancing and cleaning?

I have just done a bit of shopping online....now to tackle upstairs..

So far today I have:

Hoovered all downstairs (even hoovered the sliding doors, kitchen worktops, and table in the lounge....all covered in very static polystyrene balls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Hoovered 3 small children!...also covered in balls

put three loads of washing in so far...hung one load on radiators...other load in dryer
folded one load and put away

wiped cupboards and big appliances down in kitchen

Mr Sheened my sliding doors..table, mirror and tv!

Fed two small children....

Just off to tidy and hoover upstairs, then tackle my bathroom and the downstairs loo...better do that seeing as how I have people round later !

Oh and I even managed to write a few christmas cards!

Hope you are all doing ok!!!!!!!!

XXXXXXXXX

fannyannie · 21/11/2006 12:32

27 fling boogie is taking a bag (for rubbish) going into the said room and throwing 27 things in it to chuck in the main bin - anything counts whether it's a piece of junk mail, tissue escaped from under the pillow and down the side of the bed or tights with ladders in them.

ludalightsandlanterns · 21/11/2006 12:36

ooh ooh sounds good!.....have a feeling I might be doing several of those in the kids bedroom!!!!

Wow Ruby she got out of her cot?

Luckily DS, 21 months, hasnt managed this yet as I also like him trapped. Stairgate at top of stairs or on bedroom dorr definately a good idea I think

Have 2 others in my office miniFLYing today again. They both did 15 mins underbed yesterday and are going to do their 27 fling thing later.

Better than me, I only managed 5 mins under bed before DS woke up and squawked

Luda your day sounds a nightmare, hope it improves soon. I was going to suggest an old tight/ stocking over the hose to stop it getting blocked up but see you have already done it.

I honestly dont think I have 27 things in my bedroom to bin. Do old clothes count?

fannyannie · 21/11/2006 13:28

DS2 was getting out of his cot AND his grobag at 14 months....he's still in his cot now and he'll be 3 on Monday !

Old clothes count for the boogie - anything really -

Thanks FA. Old clothes I can definately do!! Oh and odd socks. Will get to 27 no problems then

fannyannie · 21/11/2006 13:32

yep odd are probably great - I think I've got some of them lying around too - they've been there for AGES and their pairs are probably never to be seen again LOL.

The basic idea is that ANYTHING is your room (bedrrom in this case) that isn't actually wanted/needed in there goes.
