CreepyCrawlyCarmenere · 30/10/2006 09:55

Are you MAD???
Hoover 1-2 times a week
Dishwasher-once a day
Wash clothes - 3 times a week
Tidy toys - once a day
AND I'm exaggerating..........

NOMurDErousPLUME · 30/10/2006 09:58

a) Once a day weekdays. Twice a day weekends

b) Run the dishwasher on average once a day. I hand wash a couple of bits and bobs every day.

c) I run the washing machine once a day on average.

d) Twice a day. Once in the morning after the kids have gone to school, and again in the evening once DD is in the bath (DSs are older so toys aren't really an issue in their case).

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 30/10/2006 09:59

My dad thinks im mad to hoover 3 times a day too - but i have 2 messy toddlers so it needs doing!!!

Dishwasher is on once or twice depending on what we eat - and how much space there is left by tea time!

Wash clothes - 2 loads a day - one whites, one darks

Toys - 3 times a day... needed again because of messy toddlers!

a) Hoover - twice a week, plus will wipe round kitchen and under table with hand held vax once a day maybe.

b) Wash up/put dishwasher on - once during the week; twice during the weekend unless have a big meal with friends round, etc.

c) Wash clothes - works out about 4-5 loads a week

d) Tidy toys - on school days, once a day before bedtime; other times maybe twice but get DD to help too.

Trinityrhino · 30/10/2006 10:04

not often enough

munz · 30/10/2006 10:04

a) Hoover - once i'm so slack! lol

b) Wash up/put dishwasher on - twice a day wash up.

c) Wash clothes - erm every other day if not less - one load of each

d) Tidy toys - erm used to be at every nap! lol - now it's when he's a bed, all away in his room! lol

Flamebat · 30/10/2006 10:07

Hmmm...

a) After lunch and tea normally (DS makes a bloody mess) - only in the room we have eaten though!! The rest, once a week... DD's room, hardly ever because it involves needing to see the floor

b)A couple of times a day (no dishwasher)

c)Once a day or so... need to do it more because we have a HUGE backlog, but heating is broken so not as I can't dry it.

d)Once a day

a) Hoover - every 2-3 weeks

b) Wash up/put dishwasher on - once a day

c) Wash clothes - every 3 days

d) Tidy toys - once a day

MrsBadger · 30/10/2006 10:17

Hoover once a week (kitchen floor where all messy stuff happens gets swept several times a day though)

Wash up once a day, run dishwasher when full (every 2 days or so)

One load of laundry a day

Tidy once a day

Loshad · 30/10/2006 10:19

a) not often enough
b) every day, at least once for dishwasher - handwash up other stuff 1/2x /day
c) about 3 x /day - sports mad children and adults - loads of muddy kit here all the time.
d) hmm - sitting room floor currently covered in lego - may tidy it today - probably won't unless i get off here.

ginmummy · 30/10/2006 10:19

a) Hoover - when it needs doing, probably about once or twice a week.

b) Wash up/put dishwasher on - when I've got enough to fill a sink, usually about once a day. I don't have a dishwasher and even if I had the space I wouldn't use one as there isn't much point with just ds and me.

c) Wash clothes - I don't have a tumble dryer so when a wash load comes out it takes two days to dry in my small kitchen and when it's dry the next load goes in, so about three or four times a week, or more if it's fine at the weekend.

d) Tidy toys - they're tidied away every night but about once a week I'll go through the toyboxes like Bree Van Der Camp and sort them all into categories, like train tracks in one box, instruments in another and arty crafty things in another.

framan · 30/10/2006 10:21

I'm living with my inlaws at the moment.
Soo, don't do hoovering as we have a cleaner everyweek!
Don't have a dishwasher at the moment
I do 3 loads of washing every 2/3 days and the linen & towels I take to the laundrette!
Tidy up toys about once a day, no point in stressing about it all the time.

Glassofslime · 30/10/2006 10:21

a - hoover twice a week

b - dishwasher on twice a day

c - wash clothes twice a day

d - tidy toys - once a day, but the children do most of it - it's their mess.

mascaraohara · 30/10/2006 10:24

answer to all... whenevr

Can't remember the last time I hoovered at the moment

I definitely can't remember the last time I saw my bedroom carpet to hoover it.

Radley · 30/10/2006 10:25

a} Once a day downstairs, once a week upstairs
landing and stairs every other day

b} Dishwasher on once a day

c} At least 2 loads a day

d) On and off through the day

Greensleeves · 30/10/2006 10:26

a) Hoover - at least once a day downstairs, much less often upstairs.

b) Wash up/put dishwasher on - no dishwasher, wash up twice a day

c) Wash clothes - washing machine is on almost constantly but we don't have a dryer so are always surrounded by washing

d) Tidy toys - at least 3 times a day, constantly really.

madmarchscare · 30/10/2006 10:26

Im amazed at people hoovering several times a day

  1. Once/twice a week (am obv a slattern)
  2. Once/twice a day.
  3. Once, occasionally missing a day.
  4. Twice a day.
QuootieSpookypie · 30/10/2006 10:28

hoover.... once every 1 or 2 days
wash up... about 3 times a day
Wash clothes... 1 -3 times a day
Tidy toys... never now have playpen

rebelmum1 · 30/10/2006 10:28

I swear a lot when I'm doing it especially the washing up..
Hoover 2-3 times a week (not whole house each time)
Wash -up (seems like all the bloody time ... )
Wash clothes (constantly... still not enough sent DD to nursery in least dirty clothes this morning)
Tidy toys - dd helps here! Phew she's not like dh

I also mutter under my breath when I do it and complain to the dog.

rebelmum1 · 30/10/2006 10:30

What happened, how does housework step up when you have a child.. its really astonishing. I didn't give it much of a thought before and now its such a big deal.

Clary · 30/10/2006 10:34

hoover downstairs every day, upstairs twice a week. 3 times/day is excessive, surely?
wash up 2-3 times a day (depending if at work or not!)
Wash clothes - most days, sometimes two loads. Do about 9 loads a week usually. (3 children). JARM do you really do 14 loads a week
Tidy toys - just at the end of the day unless very small bits eg playmobil/polly pocket which I insist they tidy as soon as finished with.
