covenoveneer · 30/10/2006 12:52

a) Hoover - daily (2 cats, 2 kids and a husband with psoriasis)

b) Wash up/put dishwasher on - 1-2 times

c) Wash clothes - 1-3 loads daily (depending on when sheets/towels/cushion covers etc are changed

d) Tidy toys - never (dd does them every evening whislt I put ds to bed)

Drusilla · 30/10/2006 12:59

Hoover - once a day downstairs, once or twice a week upstairs. Would love to hoover less but then floor would be inch deep in food. (no food allowed upstairs)

Washup - 2/3 times a day

Wash clothes - at least one load most days

Tidy toys - just before DS goes to bed. Sometimes throughout the day if he has got too much stuff out

ZacharyZoo · 30/10/2006 13:38

Load the diswasher at least twice a day

One load of washing a day at least

Hoover 3 times a week downstairs, we have two black labs, that shed enough hair to knit another dog every week. Prob hoover about once every two weeks upstairs.

Tidy toys once a day

Have six month old baby, daughters age 12 and 9, step kids age 10 and 6, plus two dogs, 3 cats and i work 4 days week, so its a constant game of catch up. Have a friend to do my ironing though, otherwise i would have to stop sleeping!

Bucketsofbloodydinosaurs · 30/10/2006 17:10

Hoover once a fortnight and that's since Flylady
Dishwasher once
Laundry - once or twice a day (messy toddler still in real nappies)
Tidy toys - when company is coming

MarsLady · 30/10/2006 17:14

a) a least once... bound to be a DT spillage related incidence (though I get the big kids to do it if they are home)
b) At least once
c) 3 times
d) throw them into box after DTs in bed or get big kids to do it.

Wouldn't do any of it if I could get away with it. Just need the DTs to be a wee bit bigger

batinshoes · 30/10/2006 17:16

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 30/10/2006 17:29

a) Hoover - if it's really, really dirty, alternatively 2 times a week (if I'm lucky LOL).

b) Wash up/put dishwasher on - once a day - only have a 'slimline' dishwasher, but put the whole days stuff in there and put it on the timer overnight.

c) Wash clothes - Usually one a day, but 1 or 2 times a week I'll end up doing 4/5 loads a day (usually on one of my clear days off).

d) Tidy toys - daily - the boys always tidy there toys up before bed.

earlysbird · 30/10/2006 18:16

a) Hoover 2-3 times a week

b) Wash up/put dishwasher on at least once

c) Wash clothes 2 loads a day average

dabihp · 30/10/2006 19:21

B)twice a day
C)two loads a day!
D)every five minutes! (it feels like)

LadyMacbeth · 30/10/2006 19:29

b) Dishwasher on once or twice per day, usually once - depends if I'm doing lots of baking/entertaining!

d) Tidy toys: about a zillion times a day.

DizzyBint · 30/10/2006 19:36

b) put dishwasher on about every other day

c) Wash clothes every other day

d) Tidy toys once a day

there's only me, dh and dd (5 months) here, no dogs, no cats, no robot hoovers.

EmmyLou · 30/10/2006 22:25

Ah. Now sweeping I class completely separately from hoovering.

Sweep under kitchen table after every meal. Do you all have carpets in the kitchen??? Uggh!

pippah · 01/11/2006 07:38

Hoover - 1-2 x week (my new excuse is that I'm 37 weeks pg and it kills my back!)

Dishwasher - broken. Have started new FLYlady style do-it-as-I-go-along plan for washing up and it seems to be mostly working.

Washing - everyday, usually 2 loads. My DH is Laundryman (TM) and does a lot of this for me which is fab. I put away mostly.

Toys tidied - again, was once a day, but am trying to do more often now as I can't see my feet and am constantly in danger of skidding on Thomas the Tank and doing myself and the baby a major mischief!!!

hermykne · 01/11/2006 08:18

1 - once a day if not every 36hrs hours
2 - once a day but maybe twice if doing lots of cooking
3 - washing clothes prob once a day but if organised can do 3 loads in one day and none for 4 days then
4 - toys , always picking up tripping hazards.

brimfull · 01/11/2006 08:31

I'm also amazed at the daily hooverin lot of you!
Do you all have carpet in you kitchens?

speedymama · 01/11/2006 08:46

There is DH, DTS who are currently potty training and me.

a) hoover once a week (all carpets except kitchen/diner and we only eat in there)- if the living room does become too messy I'll either use the vacuum cleaner quickly or dustpan & brush on the grubby areas

b) on a working day, wash up in the evening, if at home 2 or 3 times a day

c) normally wash clothes twice a week - 2 loads each time. However with DTS potty training this has increased to 3 times a week - 2 loads. (don't understand how one can generate 3 loads of washing a day).

d) tidy toys every evening

speedymama · 01/11/2006 08:49

My DTS who are 2yo 9months tend to put away their toys once they have finished so the living room does not look like a bomb site most of the time, thank goodness!

hermykne · 01/11/2006 11:17

ggirl slate floor in kitchen for me and sweeping is useless, hoovering is handier and quicker
