fucking everything problem here Adora

I'm so fed up

comeagainforbigfudge · 23/02/2015 15:51

Ant problem?! Where are you in the world that you have ant problem!! Bloody pain in the back side them!!

I've just finished a run of nights. And the place is a total tip.

But I'm watching an episode of sharp and drooling over Sean Bean.

I do ? him so Grin

MrsNouveauRichards · 24/02/2015 07:43

Morning all. Been slacking a bit over half term, not so much the house work, as DH has been off for a few days and really helped, but with the organisational aspect. I feel I've lost control. DH has been doing the laundry and it is more on top of than its ever been, but I don't know where anything is!

Anyway, today is a day of running around doing things.
Will probably post a done list later, and spend the next few minutes getting dressed instead Grin

OP posts:
AdoraBell · 24/02/2015 14:05

I'm in Latín América comeagain

Fuck all got done yesterday. I lié, shopping and cooking got done. and my bed sheets got washed, but fuck all else.

Today I plan to stay home and get things done, in my head at léast.

Zing hope you are feeling better now.

comeagainforbigfudge · 24/02/2015 14:51

Ah. That makes sense now AdoraBell

I've made it to the shops and back. A wash is just finished, so need to sort that and then GUT the kitchen. It's boggin Confused

MrsN think your DH should do all the washing from now on Grin you'll get used to his methods soon enough. And one less task for you hee hee hee

andsmile · 25/02/2015 08:09

All my UN-ing stayed untucked.. But I have more to do.

Priority is our bedroom still the room of doom where everything got dumped last time.

I shall try to 2 X 20/10's this morning.

RaspberryBlonde · 27/02/2015 07:07

Hope everyone is feeling ok here. A bit stressed this morning as the house has got into a serious state this week and we have visitors this weekend so it will have to be sorted today. Problem is DD is poorly so is probably not going to be keen on entertaining herself while I tidy.

I'm aiming too:
Wash bed sheets and make up again
Clean bathrooms
Put away dry laundry and run another load
Tidy kitchen and mop floors
General dust and tidy downstairs.

Think that's probably enough to be going on with...

Good luck with your room of doom smile. How are the ants Adora?

comeagainforbigfudge · 27/02/2015 16:38

Arrrrgh!! The mil was at it again with the doors.

They very graciously bought the wallpaper for baby room (just think lining paper) and will be hanging it for us.

Last night she dropped it off along with a bag of door knobs, then said "well if you're covering up the doors you might want these handles"

Was so tired and sore from work that it took all my energy not to burst into tears, tell her to feck off and never set foot in house again.

Irrational hormones BUT I AM STILL NOT CHANGING MY DOORS FOR HER STUPID WHAT IFS

sorry for the rant and lack of real explanation but glass doors, oldish house, mil thinks TODDLER baby not even born yet will run into them.

I may well change doors. But not just now and not when I have a gazillion more important things to worry about.

stomps off in another rage at stupidness of it all

RaspberryBlonde · 27/02/2015 18:45

Oh dear comeagain. My MIL, while a very nice lady, is also very worried about safety and used to panic every time DD crawled under the table in case she bumped her head. Is the house old enough that it isn't safety glass?

Actually managed most of my list today but house still not feeling that well cleaned. I did manage to get the washing dried outside for the first time this year though which was nice!

comeagainforbigfudge · 27/02/2015 19:27

Eesh so annoying but OH came in tonight and said the comment pissed him off to. And he brought it up. So at least we on same page.

They are old doors but my mum n dad had the same ones and said they are really good ones.

Not done much unfucking today. But did bake a cake Grin

ZingNinjaRoll · 28/02/2015 17:09

Can't link so please find my thread in Chat " Quilts are done! "

MsAspreyDiamonds · 28/02/2015 18:15

I have been lurking for a while on this thread but this is my first post. This method of cleaning/ housekeeping fits in with my situation as my dh is a hoarder and I don't have the stamina or inclination to do marathon cleaning sessions anymore.

Doing small 20 minute chunks of cleaning regularly helps me to keep on top of things without feeling too overwhelmed. If I am going upstairs then I take clean washing or anything else up with me and vice versa, doing little jobs in whichever room I am in prevents a build up.

RaspberryBlonde · 01/03/2015 18:50

Zing your quilts are lovely. Learning to sew has been on my to-do list for ages so am awe of people who can do something like that.

Welcome MsAsprey. I'm also trying to move away from marathon cleaning although with only limited success...

Wobblebeans · 03/03/2015 08:19

Ahh zing they're lovely, I do a bit of needlework myself but wouldn't mind learning how do that.

Dd1 and dd2's room is sorted, all old and broken toys are gone and everything has a home now
Dd3's room is still a mess, but less so, I've been sorting through things and taking them to the charity shop and DP has done a tip run
Dd3 is growing fast though and will need that room soon Confused

ZingNinjaRoll · 03/03/2015 09:42

thanks you two! Grin

I've started a thread, because I so many people say they wished they knew how to do it and I really want to tell everyone that it is relatively simple.

so take a look here:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/arts_and_crafts/2321552-Easy-Patchwork-Strip-Quilt-tutorial-by-Zing

ZingNinjaRoll · 03/03/2015 09:44

no unfucking or nuffink today for me. BabyZing had fever in the night and I'm up since 3.30 am.
I feel dreadful and really hope to have a nap soon.

comeagainforbigfudge · 03/03/2015 11:44

Aw poor babyzing and zing! Hope baby feels better soon and you get your nap opportunity to zone out in front of TV for an hour at least
Luv your tutorial zing. I've never made a quilt. Got a travel change mat to sew first then might look at fabric stash to see what can be used Grin

Operation clean neglected house starting today.

To do
Kitchen
Bathroom (needs SCRUBBEDBlush)
Living room (isn't too bad so just needs a quick tidy)
20/10 bedroom 1
20/10 bedroom 2
20/10 back room

Sort washing into piles and work through (if my mojo doesn't leave me first!)

ZingNinjaRoll · 03/03/2015 11:53

ty fudge.

it's in progress, i can only load 6 photos a day.

DD is in bed, I'm in bed with BabyZing. fx.

cikecaka · 03/03/2015 22:21

Right, need to get back into this, have had a house of ill and it's been so cold that we've been holed up in living room with the fire litWink

First 20/10 tomorrow is sitting room

cikecaka · 04/03/2015 09:34

Wash on!

Ready to do 20/10

cikecaka · 04/03/2015 09:55

Sitting room tidied and hoovered!

10 min break then clean out fire and wash surround

comeagainforbigfudge · 04/03/2015 10:00

I did everything on list yesterday.

Today I'll:

Check laundry for what's dry
Another 20/10 in bedroom 1
Food shop

Quite a wee list but back on shift tonight so keeping it light Grin

cikecaka · 04/03/2015 11:34

Loaded dishwasher
Casserole in oven

Next peel spuds
Hang up wash
Put in wash

Then 20/10 in hall

Wobblebeans · 04/03/2015 13:00

Had quite a busy morning today, health visitor for dd3 (she's quite the little chunk), and gas man to check boiler and fire so not done that much so far.

1 load of washing done and hung. That's it. To do yet:
Put dry washing away
Peel spuds for tea
Dishes and give kitchen a quick once over
Pick up dd1 from school

I'll see if anything else gets done on top of that

AdoraBell · 05/03/2015 13:55

Ants are being slautered as I type Raspberry, house is being fumigated. We also get dangerous spiders and scorpions so it's supposed to be a quarterly job.

Everything that can't be rammed into a cupboard gets covered up with sheets/towels so that leads To fucking mountains of Washing. Lucky it's warm here so I can bung it all the line outside.

Later I'll need to wipe all exposed surfaces. Will update this evening.
