morning!
i had a pamper night last night. planned this last friday but decided to go to bed early instead then. so i have now dyed hair, plucked eyebrows and smooth legs. feel much better for it too! i felt such a frump lately.

today we're going to visit DP's family. everyone is gathering at his granny's. should be ok, but i'm dreading it. SIL was annoyed on the phone last night as i couldn't say what time exactly we'd be there. pffft.

and tonight should be date night with DP. if we're not too tired!

morning ladies!
another bad night - ds woke at 3am and asked for a car?!?!?!?!? and then he of course wanted to get up - yeah right! but 10min later he was standing next to my bed - back to bed he went with his music on and well, that was me ... every little noise i heard i thought that was him coming back again - he was sound asleep - and i was awake till we got up at 6.30

'doublesigh'

well, we are dressed and bed is made so that's a start.
i've bought a slow cooker yesterday - i hope to reduce the cooking now and safe lots of time for cleaning - yeah right

i wish my kids were 3 and 4 already - they are just 1 and 2.5 - so rather exhausting! also ds likes running around with a wipe and 'cleaning' things - and even little dd is trying and putting everything back in the box (well it does come out again straight after )

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 14/10/2006 08:05

Susis - sympathy hun. Jess was up at 5.50am this morning and Becky woke twice in the night too.

nightmare!!

Wont get much done today as out all day, but am determined to clean my carpet tonight and at least get the washing and drying done.

Tomorrow will be blitz day.

hauntymandy · 14/10/2006 08:08

ok I have to do a 2 minute hot spot clean!!!
Now which hot spot to choose first?
The 3 in the kitchen, no make that 4. The 3 in the lounge. 2 in the dining room 3 in the hall ............................

scarymaryme · 14/10/2006 08:10

My ds (3) wondered in to our room at about 6.30 this morning and asked if "Father Clifford" had been yet!
He means father christmas bless him!
It is shopping and town for us lot today, I want to look for some more cookery books (might trawl the charity shops)Then off to Lidls for some yummies!
Haven't got much left to do in the kitchen now....might make a start on the toilets ...eeww!

Off into town on the train today to buy costumes and some decorations ready for ds2's halloween birthday party next saturday!!

scarymaryme · 14/10/2006 08:32

oooh yes...must get a ghost mask for ds ( have made him a ghost outfit from a pillow case!..good job he is only 3 otherwise I guess he would be objecting to that!)...thanks for the reminder tort.
Bought some cute pumpkin cup cases,(can cup cases be cute!???) and some cheap halloween shape biscuit cutters the other day....determined to not spend a fortune on novelty halloween food items this year!

batinshoes · 14/10/2006 08:57

Morning all.

I didnt sleep either

Sink is full but dishwasher is on, as is washing machine. Just cleared out bathroom cabinet and put various medicines from all over the house into it so feel virtuous enough to go out this morning and forget about cleaning

TortUREoiseChamber · 14/10/2006 09:23

Im going out leaving my house in a MESS!!!!

SusiSkelletonInTheCloset · 14/10/2006 09:30

pmsl it IS saturday after all

i did some cleaning i confess
had to put my new slow cooker some place and therefor i had to move a few things in the kitchen and then i saw all that dirt and ewwww and yakkk so i scrubbed - but only that corner
then i filled the cooker so dinner is on it's way!!

nothing planned for this weekend. weather is naff but i might try to get us out of the house later ...

flossieteacake · 14/10/2006 09:31

Morning all! Sorry to hear everyone is pooped... Good work on the Halloweening, hauntymary sounds like you're doing a good job! just pick one hotspot, blitz it and look at it gleam and jump for joy!!, (until your husband comes in and fills it again in about 17 minutes' time) I am skipping off upstairs to do some bedrooming (since I was having a FLY rebellion that week!) Hehe but tomorrow I promise I will rest and have my big delicious roast dinner cooked for me...!! Have lovely days!!

Surfermum · 14/10/2006 10:25

OMG I have got hooked on this thing! I got curious at all the FLYing thread titles and had a browse and now I'm logging on each day to check Kelly's mission. So thank you for taking the time to start these threads and do the links.
I can't believe how much better my house looks and how much better I feel about things.

peegeeweegeeWITCH · 14/10/2006 10:43

I echo everything Surfermum said!! I have been looking at the FlY lady site but find it too daunting but I love coming on here and finding out what the task of the day is. It is so hugely motivating!!

I am hooked and as soon as I get up in the morning I log on here...

Have taken dd to her ballet class, loaded washing machine, put yesterday's laundry away, done sink full of washing up....

We are planning a garden-tidy day today - so will be FLY ing in the garden. Does that count?
Will tidy away dead plants, broken garden toys, take down parasol and cover patio furniture. Sweep patio, re-pack shed, and basically lock everything down for winter...
Am hoping dh will finish laying the garden path and patio as am fed up with the risk of twisted ankles walking on uneven ground...

Have a good weekend all!!

Let the FLY be with you...

(sorry, dh and ds are playing Lego Starwars on PS, got a bit carried away there )

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 14/10/2006 13:14

Just had a quote for the front door... £1,000? For a door?? Hmmmm....

Blitzed (sp?) the house as DHs cousin is coming round and despite telling me last night we'd do the bathroom today we are a) Fixing the landrover or b) guess what - MILs!!! She is having windows fitted Monday, so, DH has to clear away all the watches and models etc. AND he has to take the week off to supervise the fitters - MIL cant do it alone!!! Hes done no overtime this month, nor last month so we will have no money for Christmas as his overtime money for this month he gets the end of November. I doubt he'll even get his flat wage as he's taken alot of time off. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

batinshoes · 14/10/2006 14:46

done lots today.

new tyres on car. £ ouch!
changed water in fish tank. yuk
changed various lightbulbs.
cleared out car (before garage as was embarrassingly dirty)
been out with dh and dd

TortUREoiseChamber · 14/10/2006 15:13

We had a good morning in town. Managed to avoid paying on the train!
Spent about £100 ( again) on decorations and outfits! I have mine but its a bit tight on the arms! Don't think i can get rid of that in a week!!
Had to run for the train home as the next one wasn't for another 2 and a half hours! Just made it as it pulled into the station. Only paid for a ticket for me on the train. Ticket bloke could see i had the dc with me but just asked for my fare!and LOL!

DC are playing outside on the trampoline now. Im having a rest.

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 14/10/2006 17:03

Hi all, Not done much today. Went to the park this am. DC got a bit muddy but they had fun I have done some washing, not very drying weather though so its now on the airers. T/Dry later/tomorrow.
Made cookies and cakes this afternoon, the last batch are in the oven now. The kitchen is all cleaned up after.

Bath is running for DC and then we will have tea. Going to do a finger tea, pizza, small sauages, sausages rolls, chips, etc. Just a mixed really. A bit of a fun tea for DC

Tortoise, you were lucky with the train I think DC should go free all the time. I sure more people would used P/T if they did not have to pay half price and over for DC to use.

TortUREoiseChamber · 14/10/2006 17:26

Hi HN. Sounds like a fun day! We have Carnival tonight.Yay!!
I was a bit nervous about the long walk along my quiet road in the dark but xp1 has asked if he can park out here and then we can all walk to watch it.Only reason i agreed is because i will get to spend time with the DS's and see them enjoy carnival!
Better search for something for tea now. They will be back at 7. It starts at 7.30.

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 14/10/2006 17:35

Sounds fun too Tortoise, dont know about spending time with xp1 though. Yes for DSs, but he does not want you to have DSs and then askes if he can do that. That makes me think hes upto something. Thats the sort of thing my xp1 would do, then say something bad about it. I seen my xp1 in town once, the next thing we were back together. Well thats what everyone were saying Remember your town talks too.

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 14/10/2006 17:44

Evening all!

Logging on from Dads house to say hi and how chuffed I am that I have done NO flying all day!

Got up - got showered, got dressed, (ooooh i did make the bed) packed the girls change bag and toddled off out the door!

DH took Jessi swimming, me, my dad and rebecca went round town buying clothes for becca's birthday from my dad and a few crafty bits i needed for my card making.

Had a coffee and came back to dads. Took Dad to sainsburys for a few bits we both needed and he paid for my shopping too! My brother and SIL have been round his afternoon playing with the girls and we have jsut had tea (cooked by my dad!) and we will be heading home in about half hour or so!

Great day and can look forward to a chill out evening - once the girls are in bed!

Well done all of you who have FLY'd today, and JOIN THE CLUB to thise who havent!!!

scarymaryme · 14/10/2006 17:52

Hello...have been shopping...kids all happy eating supper and playing with charity shop finds!
Have done a fair bit too, defrosted freezer (couldn't actually get the shopping in it!) washing done...last lot in at the mo, and cleaned the downstairs loo.
I might have a nice hot bath and nice cup of hot choccie!

TortUREoiseChamber · 14/10/2006 17:52

I don't care what town says.Infact it would SW would like to hear that!!! I won't be with him i will be with my ds's. I need to keep xp1 happy in a way cos ive just been trying to convince him that he doesn't want them full time and we would be better agreeing on shared care if I can't get residency!
One comment he made i did disagree with and that was he wants them but SW has said if he can't cope and has a breakdown then it can go back to court.I said he needs to be sure now or it won't be fair on DS's to drag through court again!

Ooooo I went in poundland today.Picked up a few cleaning bits. Couldn't remember what it was that someone said they got the other day!

TortUREoiseChamber · 14/10/2006 17:54

Q uploaded your pics. here they are!

JARM sounds like a lovely day.
