weeeeeeeell, no. They are sort of addressed to DH aswell (about selling late FILs airplane models), so Ill let him off.

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 14/10/2006 22:34

weeeeeeeell, midwife told me to drink guinness - I was abit shocked! I had lost alot of blood during the birth and refused a transfusion, so, every day id be sat at home, DS on my lap with steak and a guinness Worked because I went back to A & E as I felt awful and they said my iron count (?) was too high now to transfuse. That was about 4 days later. So, neeeeeeer

TortUREoiseChamber · 14/10/2006 22:38

Oh i see.
Ok I will let you off then!

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 14/10/2006 22:41

My mum told me that they gave you Guinness years ago when you went in to hospital to give birth and it was a drink that they would like you to drink when carring too. A bottle a day, bit like todays pregaday tables. lol My mum hated it so would not have any to drink but she kept some in the fridge so people thought she was drinking it.

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 14/10/2006 22:50

Yeah - they used to givr it out in hospitals. Think they still do in the Republic of Ireland... sure I read that somewhere

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 14/10/2006 23:01

I dont know Q, but its the drink for Ireland! so they probably do have it in there hospitals just like we have bottled water. lol

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 14/10/2006 23:03

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 14/10/2006 23:11

nighty night x

TortUREoiseChamber · 14/10/2006 23:23

Im off to bed now too. Time has flown by since got home.
What chance to you think i have of the dd's sleeping past 6am!? They are never up as late as 10pm!

scarymaryme · 15/10/2006 07:25

Morning all, up early this morning 5.55am to be precise! all my kids have coughs, so the whole house was awake!
Have emptied dishwasher and found my roasting dish (thought i'd lost it) Roast Chicken today and I want to try different roast pots. I got a good tip from someone on a food thread, to shake the potatoes before you roast them...then they are supposed to be crispier.
Must do some dusting too

batinshoes · 15/10/2006 08:13

Morning all,

we all had a lie in today

just unsubscribed from flylady as i cant bear any more reminders asking where my shoes or or testimonials telling me how wonderful their procucts are. i'll stay here and check the website daily though as its really making a difference

SusiSkelletonInTheCloset · 15/10/2006 08:24

morning!

lol batin i've done that ages ago

and yet another bad night. with ds getting out of his cot now we actually took some of the bars out to make it safer iykwim - he can do it anyways! what can i say: that's an open invite now for him to get out all the time.
evening wasn't too bad - about 20min and 3 times putting back - but he was dead tired (no nap all day )
night was not good - he woke at 4am and thought that was a perfect time for getting up. shame that mummy had different plans, eh?!
BUT it took me 2 hours next to his cot to get him back to sleep (with lots of tears and please and shouting and whineying and whinging and threats )
so i managed another 20min in my own bed when dd was ready to get up 'sigh'

not done any flying so far!

TortUREoiseChamber · 15/10/2006 10:33

Well DD1 stayed asleep until 7.30 this morning so a small lay in for me!!! we did watch childrens tv in bed for an hour though.
All dressed and fed now.
I want to go back to bed!
Sorry you had a bad night suis.

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 15/10/2006 10:35

TortUREoiseChamber · 15/10/2006 10:36

I hate nightmares.

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 15/10/2006 10:37

ooooooooooo, I might do a roast today

Sounds like everyone is tired and had a bad night! Poor us ((hugs))

TortUREoiseChamber · 15/10/2006 10:39

Ive been doing roast on Fridays so the DS's get it too.Not worth all the effort for DD's not to eat it!

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 15/10/2006 10:40

I dont like christmas cake much... I like peeling off the icing and marzipan! But, 1st Christmas and all that! It was one of those really deeply disturbing nightmares...

Will post them when im done Ill work out how to shrink them abit aswell as I upload onto comp - or take poorer quality ones.

The new loo seats on already!

TortUREoiseChamber · 15/10/2006 10:53

Dreams like that are horrible.

I don't really like any of the christmas cake. I prefer mince pies. I make them myself.

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 15/10/2006 11:03

yuk, i hate mince pies!

TortUREoiseChamber · 15/10/2006 11:05

lol!
Mince pies and cream for breakfast on christmas morning!! Yummy.

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 15/10/2006 11:07

yuk. Im glad we're having christmas here now... MIL doesnt even put up decorations! We're looking at trees today if they are in the garden centre

TortUREoiseChamber · 15/10/2006 11:10

Humbug to MIL! The xp1's mum doesn't either. All the DS's had up last year was what their Dad put in his bedroom!! Thought he might make more effort with the boys being with him!
