Sorry, as usual I've made two threads
This is the one to use...

I got less than 3 hours sleep last night...going to take my tea up to bed and hope I can get another hour before the dds wake up.

I just don't get this.

I know exactly where my fly spots are.

I just lack the inclination to do anything about them.

batinshoes · 02/10/2006 07:24

Morning all.

I'm pleased we're in this zone this week as I've been slowly working on it over the last few. Still a huge pile of stuff on the bottom of the stairs/in hall but that will have to wait as off to pre-school with DD for her 2nd session this morning.

Have a good day all

shazdisembodiedronnie · 02/10/2006 07:43

good morning!

DH is on holiday for the next fortnight, so I'm bound to get nothing done!

Perhaps I can delegate some jobs to him...

peegeeweegeewoo · 02/10/2006 07:58

Right, am fiered up, full of energy, ready to spread my wings and become a regular FLYer

Did I read the mission right - we are doing the front porch and any clutter hotspots?

Great, my porch is a mess - dirty tiles, a dead plant, loads of leaves and cobwebs....

Will walk ds to school and get stuck in!!

trinityrhino · 02/10/2006 08:07

hi peegeee, cool, nice to hear you so positive

batinshoes · 02/10/2006 08:12

peegee - go go go !!!

In 10 mins I have just :
CLEANED FRONT DOOR - INSIDE, CLEANED SHELF IN HALLWAY, CLEANED DOWNSTAIRS LOO & SINK, DUSTED BASEBOARDS IN DOWNSTAIRS LOO, CLEANED DOOR HANDLES IN DOWNSTAIRS LOO & HALLWAY

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 02/10/2006 08:20

I will get onto this ASAP!

Need to tidy out my porch, and clean it - dont have a dining room so will have to hot spot the living room again.

Loads of shoes and coats to put in their proper places.

Need to do dishwasher and tidy kitchen.

Upstairs just needs washing brought down and last nights nappies but in the bin and a quick hoover.

Im getting there! Cant wait for my carpet cleaner to arrive - hopefully tomorrow - and can then really feel like the place is clean!!!

Oh and even bought my first ever pair of rubber gloves, 2 tubs of bicarb and a bottle of white vinegar all exclusively for cleaning!!

SusiSkelletonInTheCloset · 02/10/2006 08:21

busy busy!
not here
i am not even dressed

i guess i am waiting for dd to wake up, then feed her breakfast and then i'll get dressed and start flying ... that's the plan anyways

but i am slowly working in the kitchen. tops are all clutterfree so i moved on to do the cupboards.
went through the goody cupboards yday and threw alot

i am going to sit down and do a 'to-do' list with all these little things you normally never think of! hopefully we can tick it off bit by bit and get through it - well, another plan me thinks

Flamebat · 02/10/2006 08:29

I'm back!!

I got sleep over the weekend. Feeling so much more positive, AND its diningroom/hellhole week

I'll even do photos.

IvortheEngine · 02/10/2006 08:32

Sorry, I used the wrong thread. Here I am again.

Thanks for the link. I find it useful.

So far today I've:-
Put the recycling stuff (except glass stuff) out for collection
Put the glass stuff in bags in the car as I'll be passing a recycling place later
Renewed the cat litter (yeuch!)
Changed the bin liner
Had brekkie
Got the kids breakfasted and off to meet the school bus
Filled the dishwasher and put it on

Now all I need to do is to put the washing on the line, get showered and dressed and off to work! Btw, I'm finding that the house is looking noticeably emptier in a couple of places! It is so nice to be able to see some of the floor in the spare bedroom that I'm now in the habit of keeping the door open so that I can admire it as I pass the top of the stairs! That's proof that this thread works, isn't it?

batinshoes · 02/10/2006 08:33

Susis - I've been writing & adding to a list as and when I do things, so each time the zone comes around again i dont need to think about what needs doing i just run through the list. It is making it so much easier. I have 5 lists on my computer and just go to the current zone list as and when i'm on (a bit too often )

Bucketsofbloodydinosaurs · 02/10/2006 08:48

I'm not flying today as little DD & I are off to Oxford to see friend with tiny new baby. Taking a big bag of DD's cast-offs so that's a bit of decluttering. DS is off to his Nana's as he's still in the baby-eating toddler stage that terrifies new mums.
I promise to empty dishwasher in a mo and will be dropping off spare duvet to the cleaners on the way.
I had a great time at my NCT sale on Sat, sold 22 items and only bought 2! And one of which was vests for DD which was exactly what I was looking for so only 1 impulse buy (orange Bob the Builder fleece for DS.)

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 02/10/2006 08:54

have cleared out porch - put coats and shoes where they should be, need to sweep and hoover in porch and clean windows and doors out there too.

have decluttered shelf in living room - now have a pile of paperwork to file away and a pile that needs actioned.

my house will never be perfect - too many cardboard boxes lying around - but nowhere else to store them (moving at some point so gathering boxes!)

Toys are all over the floor but they will be until the girls go for a nap - if i tidy them away now they will be back out all over the floor in 10 nanoseconds!

TortUREoiseChamber · 02/10/2006 09:07

Morning FLYers.
Ive done nothing so far! Well dressed(sort of!)and all fed.
Lacking energy today.Had a letter from my solicitor with copy of sw recommendations for ds's.
I will empty the dishwasher soon and then do my hair!

earlgrey · 02/10/2006 09:18

You're all weird

tribpot · 02/10/2006 09:25

Morning FLYers, I have my mum's help in this morning so can instruct her on the correct zone to be dealing with

I did get dressed upon waking (but only because ds slept in due to being up in the night), was v grateful in the middle of the night though to know I wouldn't have to think about what to wear in the morning. Not as grateful as I would have been for an additional hour's kip, obviously, but looking on the bright side of 3 a.m.!

TortUREoiseChamber · 02/10/2006 09:45

Hair done and face washed!
Dishwasher emptied and brekie bits put in.
Worktops wiped down.
Just realised the HA was suppose to of been out and done the bathroom and kitchen floor by today!Oh what a surprise,no-one has been round!

Beccarolloveragain · 02/10/2006 10:21

Morning everyone!!

For my mission today I have just tackled the UNDER STAIRS CUPBOARD.

It was a complete hell hole!! I couldnt shut the door and when I opened it everything fell out on to me.

I have chucked a load of rubbish, sorted a load of stuff that doesnt belong to us and sorted an ebay bag out.

Now just have a coat for each of us on the hooks, a laundry bag that is storing hats, gloves, umberellas etc.

On the floor is hoover, sweeping brush and steam generator iron.

I have never been able to actually store these things! The hoover and brush and mop etc normally just hangs around a corner in the kitchen.

Quootiepie · 02/10/2006 10:22

My internet is back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wahoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!

Quootiepie · 02/10/2006 10:25

I am up, showered, dressed, cleaned bathroom.... and had the BT man round to fix my line

TortUREoiseChamber · 02/10/2006 10:25

Good to see you Q!

TortUREoiseChamber · 02/10/2006 10:26

The names are ready for halloween Q!!

Quootiepie · 02/10/2006 10:27

Tort - I had the weirdest dream last night! I was staying 'round yours and one minute your bathroom was messy, then you had FLYed it, and it was sparkling! I remember you clearing a pile of towels from the bathroom... how odd is that???

Quootiepie · 02/10/2006 10:28

oh right
