A new thread for a new week...

OP posts:
Skribble · 21/09/2006 23:28

I started off thinking the evening routine was a bit much, but if you do bits through the day there isn' that much left to do.

Skribble · 21/09/2006 23:29

Sorry that was just a random thought. Bit like my cleaning a bit random, lets call it bite size .

tortoise · 21/09/2006 23:30

Very true skribble!!

Q hope you are ok.I will be back in the morning.I need to try and get some sleep!!

SusiS · 22/09/2006 06:58

shazronnie · 22/09/2006 07:54

lucy5 · 22/09/2006 08:19

I can't seem to join, it won't recognise my yahoo id and password, any ideas? Thanks

IvortheEngine · 22/09/2006 08:19

Can someone remind me what we're supposed to be doing today, please? I don't seem to have got into this at all yet. Today I intend to:- find all autumn/winter/spring things that should be e-bayed and put them in a box for SIL together with the umpteen Boden bags which I have which SIL can reuse as packaging. I also need to find what I want to take away next week as I'm away Mon - Fri nt. Also, I want to put away my summer clothes and sort through my winter clothes. That should take me right through to this afternoon when I plan to cut the grass if it's dry. And walk the dog. Hey, ho.

tortoise · 22/09/2006 08:21

lucy5 i wouldn't worry about joining. All the info needed is on the website except the testimonials i think!
Im thinking of stopping the emails as i just delete them and rely on this thread for extra info!

Beccarolloveragain · 22/09/2006 08:25

Morning

Going to try and have a good old Flying day today. Im not childminding so looking forward to a day in the house with just DS whilst DD is at school.

I have put a load of washing in, made the bed, not swished yet though.

Happy Friday everyone!

Bucketsofdinosaurs · 22/09/2006 08:43

I've got the car today and girlie pub dinner tonight and no cleaning for me (waiting for shops and library to open.)
I did have a bit of a post-it frenzy last night though, jotting down ideas like a post-it for each room with things I might forget to do when I get round to that room eg scrub tobacco off bedroom woodwork next time(bluurgh!), wipe kitchen shelves. I also did one for things to do next time DH has a day off and things to go in the next drilling/rawlplug session.
Hope next week's zone is the lounge, I've developed a thing for cleaning windows and they're next. Please don't be the bathroom, I'm not ready to face that yet, need my dad to dismantle the shower so we can throw some paint around and put up a cabinet for all the stuff.

tinshoes · 22/09/2006 08:46

FYI Kelly's mission today is to clear your dressing table, and keep doing superflingboogies

tortoise · 22/09/2006 08:50

Yes its living room/lounge/front room(whichever you call it!) next week.

IvortheEngine · 22/09/2006 08:50

Thanks tinshoes. My dressing table has already been done. I haven't come across superflingboogies before but I think my grand sort-out will count.

SusiS · 22/09/2006 08:53

i wish i had a dressing table

might try and sort through my clothes today. and look for kiddies winter clothes which are too small and should go on ebay.

sweeped all downstairs, swished/swiped the toilet, dryer is running and so is washing machine
and dd is a real old grump today

since it's still rather wet here we'll take them to softplay later!

ohhh, and dp has put his breakfast bowl IN the dishwasher

SusiS · 22/09/2006 08:56

ouch tinshoes, wish you'd had them on, eh
grand dh of yourse 'thumbs up'

Skribble · 22/09/2006 09:10

Kelly's mission
Fly zone

I haven't done any superfling boogie stuff yet, today I might, sorry I will tackle the pile of stuff in front of the wardrobe, its left over from when it was DS's room, its just a pile of crap. Already cleared the top of my drawers so Kelly's mission done.

Skribble · 22/09/2006 09:15

Tin shoes just hop and get on with it .

Hows everyone elses DH/ DP reacting to the ghanges? MIne seems oblivious even though this is the best I have ever done clearing wise. His pile of clothes in the living room for him to put away is growing, even though the kids have got the idea to take their stuff up each day. He is starting to p** me off now.

Anyway I decide to swap about my morning routine and get showered and dressed earlier, I usually wait until kids out the door.

So so far dressed, load on, dishwasher ready to go as soon as I have has my breakfast, goinf to iron while watching a couple of programmes I don't like to miss. Get more done while watching them now I am dressed.

Quite satisfying listing all our acheivments isn't it.

Bucketsofdinosaurs · 22/09/2006 09:21

I've just gone through my own drawers and taken out a heap of things I don't wear to add to the non-sellable outgrown kidswear. Taking it all to local housing office today who can pass on to the local women's refuge. When you turn up to a refuge with your kids and nothing else, I'd imagine you don't care about old stains or 2nd hand shoes/bras/socks.

tortoise · 22/09/2006 09:22

Oh forgot to say before i got dressed i sorted my knicker draw out.

tinshoes · 22/09/2006 09:22

Good for you BoD. I darent go through my clothes at the mo as I'm just wearing maternity stuff and i need to wait until i lose some weight post baby before i chuck everything out. i did do it about 12 months ago though....

Flamesparrow · 22/09/2006 09:50

I'm gonna try with the emails.

Penguins fly more than me right now. H is being an arse (definately not a DH right now) - he is doing sod all round the house, whereas before FLYing he would at least do the dishes. What's the point in me trying if he is doing even less than before???

Feeling used, abused and fed up.

Oh, and people - shine your sinks. Mine hasn't been clear for 3 days and it is a big part of my feeling argh.

tortoise · 22/09/2006 09:54

Awww Flame. We are here to try and help you.Sod (D)H do it for you.You will feel better for keeping it tidy even if he doesn't help! Its hard for me to advise when im single and have no-one but dc to make a mess!
Some FLYers have done a chores list so DH/DP's have small jobs to carry out.
Keep shining that sink!
