thanks for the welcome everyone.
buckets - ive just loked at your bedroom pics (hope u dont mind) i'm sooo impressed i cant wait to get stuck in and tidy mine!
i've just read todays mission and am going to do it now!!

Quootiepie · 21/09/2006 15:24

Got it!!! my mind is going into overdrive now thinking how I can achieve the same look in my bedroom...

Skribble · 21/09/2006 15:31

I have managed the mission and cleared out both bedside cabinets, plus the heaving pile of mags and brochures, I even took the magazine basket to the charity shop along with some books. Cleared the wash basket, well ok one of them , and big cheer I washed my table cloths, why a big cheer well I realised the last time I used them was,, eh.. mmh.. last Christmas

Liked the floaty curtains in that bedroom bucket, looks traditional and very relaxing.

You know what the mad flylady says about giving stuff away and how its like karma you get what you need in return sort of a thing (watch out testimonial alert) well......

I decided yesterday to take my 3-wheeler pram to the charity shop instead of kidding myself on that I was ever going to sell it (ok DD is 6 now and it ain't no QUinny Zap), well MIL's neighbour asked if I wanted her old garden bench and table, fantastic they are not that old and the heavy wrought iron and wood ones, ideal as my back garden is a bit breezy and I had given up on furniture as it all blows away. What goes around comes around I suppose, and I have a bit more space in the living room too (yesy pram has been there for ages).

Skribble · 21/09/2006 15:33

Todays hot spot challange is to clear out all the dodgy stuff from the freezer, she refers to road kill but I suppose that is only likely if you live in Texas .

lunavix · 21/09/2006 15:37

Hi everyone!

I subscribed to flylady ages ago but the emails just swamped me.

I want to start again, but have no idea where. I need to get on top of the house, as between ds (2.5) dd(4 weeks) and the kids I look after it's a total tip. So where do I begin? I work best under a routine...

Bucketsofdinosaurs · 21/09/2006 15:46

It is a magic room, I have to say and I've alwasy wanted a bed in a bay window. All cheap nylon nets and rollerblinds, a bit Changing Rooms if you look too closely.

I did discover just how tobacco-stained the window woodwork is at the top but didn't have time to scrub (last-but-one owner I think as our vendors weren't there long enough to achieve that colour.) Will save that job for another day I think, babysteps and all that.

Skribble · 21/09/2006 15:47

I have started with the baby steps to get me into a routine, these establish a control journal too.

I do Kelly's mission each day.

Each day has a specific things to do Like Monday is Home blessing (or Home fixing), Thirs day is errands day.

Skribble · 21/09/2006 15:47

My last was aimed at Lunavix

tortoise · 21/09/2006 16:27

Lunavix-You don't have to recieve the Emails.they are shown on the FLYlady site every day.
Baby steps and Kelly's mission is the best start point. And staying in the weeks zone if possible.
I thought it was weird repeating last times zone missions but i do get lax and forget to tidy something away or resist chucking it so ive done it the 2nd time!

BarefootJasnem · 21/09/2006 16:49

Buckets - lovely room

hazel - I love the idea of tea in the park. My kids would love it, too. I bet the weather turns and I c=don't get a chance now

Sorry everyone else. I've read most of it but too much to take in (really should be feeding baby. He's busy mashing broccoli into his nose.

I went out this afternoon, as dp decided to spread his tools all over the floor to sort them out This involves lots of crashing about and swearing.
But he put it all away and hoovered, then phoned to tell me when it was safe to come back, so there is an improvement as usually he puts most of it back and leaves the dust and mess for me.

No matching underwear!?!

BarefootJasnem · 21/09/2006 18:07

I have 2 sets of matching underwear, but both are maternity knickers and feeding bras.
All pre ds bras have been binned (mostly the kind that say age 12-13 in the label rather than a size)
An excuse to go shopping when I stop bf, I think.

tortoise · 21/09/2006 18:07

I have either black bras or white.
Knicks are more colourful! Not that anyone sees them(except maybe the neighbours if i hang them on the line!).

Quootiepie · 21/09/2006 18:13

Beccarolloveragain · 21/09/2006 19:35

I need to do about 2 x 15 minute sessions to get the kitchen and living room up to scratch in time for anthea

anyone joining me?

hazelnuts · 21/09/2006 19:35

Evening all. I a fun time at the park, the sun came back out. Before I went to get DS1 from school I thought it was going to rain.
BarefootJasnem, Your DC will love it. tortoise said the other day about going to the park so I went there and had tea then too. Dc are in bed asleep so it made them tired.

Xp1 did not phone the DSs again tonight. Wish there was some way of keep times of calls made to my phone.

I have done behind my fridge and freezer. How did hairs get behind them when you don't have pets?? I had loads of hair and fluff, oh and spider webs

hazelnuts · 21/09/2006 19:40

Quootiepie I had some feeding bras with teddy bears on the cups. I think it was 1 of the first words DD could say. "Bear" pointing and wanting boobies

tortoise · 21/09/2006 19:54
