sorkycake · 12/09/2006 11:54

For one day only, I present to you......SORKYCAKE

asleep · 12/09/2006 11:55

LOL Quootiepie, i've just done the same! cleaned for about an hour. i was scrubbing the tiles with my toothbrush, so must buy a new one. i'm quite proud i managed to clean it all with just white vinegar and bicarb of soda!

Quootiepie · 12/09/2006 11:57

i was using my bicarb too

Flamesparrow · 12/09/2006 12:05

Bathroom sparkly... not seein Sorky though

Flamesparrow · 12/09/2006 12:17

Bathroom in pic sparkly... not mine!

sorkycake · 12/09/2006 12:20

hmmm why won't it work?

mummy2ashton · 12/09/2006 13:04

afternoon flyers!

just had some friends invite themselves round for dinner....normally it would be panic stations to make the house look respectable! but what am i doing?? on MN! kitchen is clean from last week, bathroom is clean and decluttered, living room has toys all over the place but a five minute room rescue will fix that! hotspots were put out this morning as part of my morning routine so all i need to do is hoover the hall and stairs (was gonna do it this afternoon anyway) and make the dinner! all thanks to fly lady!!!

mummy2ashton · 12/09/2006 13:08

btw, just thought i'd have a moan about daddy2ashton while i am on here. last night we had a row about my cleaning!! before flylady he was always rowing with me about the house being a mess and cluttered, seems i can't win! he was in a bad mood because i mopped the kitchen floor and left him looking after ashton when he should be "relaxing after a day at work". pah! he says he's sick of worrying about drying the sink if he uses it! muppet!

men are never satisfied! i'll give him a boot in the arse, after i boot marvins hubby! (((hugs)))

damewashalot · 12/09/2006 13:21

My bathrooms shiny too
Felt horrid to come down to clutter, has really made me want to do the rest now.

samnbabes · 12/09/2006 13:23

Morning all. & Marvin, hope your morning's getting better. And another sniff from my dd to add to all the sniffing flybaby broods.

Feeling very un-fly last night - busy day then out for the evening, but then when I got up this am I realised dh had shone sink before he went to bed ... and this morning managed to do my hotspot & scrubbed & descaled the shower. Still trying to sit on my nagging voice that's saying... 'you're slipping, might as well give up...'

shazronnie · 12/09/2006 13:38

nice sparkly bath flame!

Sorkycake - all I can say about your picture is that it is definitely not cluttered....

I've just tidied DS1 bedroom, but can't settle because he was crying when i left him at preschool .
It's only his 2nd day, and now i am counting minutes until i can go get him back.
And this is the child who has been pita all morning!

shazronnie · 12/09/2006 13:40

samnbabes - you're not slipping, but it is a slow process. The house is much better than when you started, and every little thing you do is a step in the right direction.

boomie · 12/09/2006 14:05

This FLYing thing is really having an effect on my kiddiewinks!! DD1 was staying at my Mum's on Sat night and a revelation happened!!! She packed her bag all by herself which has never happened before. Why you may ask??!!! Because pre-FLYlady, all our clothes would either be waiting in a pile to be washed, or waiting in a pile to be ironed or in a pile to be put away. Now, it's all under control and all put away and DD1 could easily get to her clothes herself. I am feeling so Smug with myself . This thing does work

tamsino · 12/09/2006 14:11

Good for you Boomie - start them young

I have just cleaned my downstairs loo, all the surfacaes and sink. I've also dug out a shoe rack for the hallway and tidied up in there. So feeling quite smug. I even had time for a 20 minute catnap and neighbours - hurrah.

Easy to du during nap time. DD is still sleeping as getting up at 6 has made her shattered.

Flamesparrow · 12/09/2006 14:26

Not my bath sparklin

Your DS will be FINE - they normally settle the minute you leave!

Chloe55 · 12/09/2006 15:34

I have a Dyson! I have a Dyson! - I have just quickly whizzed round the living room and have got soooooooo much crap up, even though I hoovered using my crappy Electrolux before I left this morning

Flamesparrow · 12/09/2006 15:37

Upright`? Downright? Colours???

mummy2ashton · 12/09/2006 15:43

awwww i want a dyson!!!! [evny]

mummy2ashton · 12/09/2006 15:43
  • that should be!
hazelnuts · 12/09/2006 15:51

Hi all FLYers. But I am not FLYing today. DD better but both DSS got it now. I have not had much sleep They are all sleeping now. least it only seems to be a 24 ish thing. When I got my first Dyson (xp2 got it for me. I was just going to get the cheapest one I could) I could not believe the c*p I got from my carpets. I hoovered two times a day (hall way and lounge) I filled it the first time and it still got more c*p up from the carpet. Do other hoovers just brush the dirt into the carpets? I asked myself. I would not be without my Dyson now. I think I will go and do my kitchen floor a mo. Then I can come back here after doing soething.

julezboo · 12/09/2006 15:59

I have a dyson too, I love it!

I hate to admit but I havnt done any fly'ing today, went to the docs this morning over spd, got given paracetamol, tried to get midwife to come round earlier to fit support belt, shes coming tomorrow, I struggled to do a quick tidy up of the living room before I had to sit down again in tears Hopefully once belt is on tomorrow I shall start to feel better, seems to be one thing after another with the pregnancy right from word go!

Sorry to moan,

sorky Im sure your bathroom looks fab, I couldnt get it to loads!

chloe enjoy your dyson! I LOVE mine sooo much wouldnt be without it now!

Back off to lie down with my extra long pillow and tropical fruit juice (craving) till dp gets home to cook tea!

have fun!

damewashalot · 12/09/2006 16:07

Another dyson fan here, I've got a lovely purple one
Done better today, downstairs loo and a quick hoover done before I did school run
More sympathy re the SPD the worst thing about being pg IMO

JessaJam · 12/09/2006 16:08

No dyson envy here! I have a Henry!

hazelnuts · 12/09/2006 16:52

Poor you julezboo. I hope the belt does work for you. {{{{julezboo}}}}

Dont be sorry about moaning. You have something to moan about.

My kitchen floor is all clean now. Just need to get some polish to make it shine again now.
