I thought it was time for a new Autumnal thread for all slatterns.

This thread is welcome to all who like to write lists or have loads of jobs to get done or if you need a kick up the bum for motivation. Also good for support with relationships, random advice on moths and birthday cakes!

We welcome new slatterns, post your lists here.

Back in a sec with my list.

:)

Well, dh came home and did the dishes ;)
I've done two loads of washing and took ds to the park. Also went to sil's house.

Gonna make dh a birthday cake tommorow :D that can be my goal for the day (nothing elaborate just a sponge cake, maybe with chocolate or icing and sprinkles)
And try and get some washing dried :)

In my defence I am heavily pregnant :) just wish I had some nesting instinct

twinklesparkles · 19/02/2013 09:07

Todays plan -

Put dishes away
Wash last few dishes
Make cake
Put washing out
Do more washing
Go lidls
Bleach bath/toilet/sink

:)

I can do it, I can do it, I can do it!!!!

..... Hopefully :)

Good morning all.

Last night I sat on the sofa and did nowt else. To be fair I had made dinner, got kids to bed and clothes ready for the next day. But once that was done my backside did not leave the sofa until bedtime. I will no doubt pay the price for such slatternly ways today Smile.

When I get home from work list

dinner
kids to bed
exercise class (oooh, get me)
dishes
sort a load of washing into washing machine

tomorrow

washing on
tidy kitchen
homework with DS
hang up clothes from bedrom floor
dinner
count PTA money
try to sort some of DS's Dulpo and lego
ironing

SlatternismyMiddlename · 19/02/2013 10:02

Twinkles - I hate to tell you this but with both my pregnancies I waited for the nesting instinct to kick in, and waited, and waited, and waited. it never happened Smile.

JKSLtd · 19/02/2013 13:55

Me too! Really wanted to turn into one of those women that fills the freezer with homecooked food (err, never gonna happen!) and has spring cleaned the house to within an inch of its life before baby arrives and I, naturally, slip back into my size 10s.....Hmm Grin

Had a massive laundry & ironing session yesterday.
DS2 is at holiday club at his school today for first time.
DS1 is at a friends for the day.
DD 'napping' (i.e. shouting from her cot...)

I have paperwork to tackle and crosswords to finish, but currently faffing on here instead. Better get a move on.

Have a wash on
Have TD on
Dishwasher is on
Cooked dinner
Took DD3 out on her bike

FreakoidOrganisoid · 19/02/2013 19:48

Me too cc. Just the basics getting done.

cikecaka · 19/02/2013 20:00

DD3 in the bath, she is very excited about turning 6 tomorrow! She has new pjs and is getting to wear them tonight for turning 6! So - am going to dry her, change her and get her to bed!

Minimammoth · 21/02/2013 08:05

Morning everyone. Happy birthday cikecaka's girl.
Small list
Docs
Work
Tidy everywhere as house being valued. In ten minutes flat.
Skype call
Read stuff before Skype
Sort spare room out so bed can be made
Not even going to list state of conservatory or office. Too scary.

JKSLtd · 21/02/2013 20:56

Mini - are you planning on moving?

CC - HB to your DD :)

Phew, home and knackered.

Went to Thomasland at Drayton Manor for DS2's birthday present. Stayed in a hotel last night, kids all in one room, us in an interconnecting room = not a lot of sleep...
Then a long but lovely day today. He loved it. DS1 who was all bah humbug about it beforehand loved it too Grin
Poor DD had to spend too long in the buggy but she got a ride or two in there too. She totally crashed out upright in DH's arms about 3.30, got her into the buggy, and into the car with her hardly opening an eye.

Tomorrow:

  • aiming for a lazy day
  • handyman coming
  • laundry
  • rehome anything from trip away
  • me give blood (5.30)
  • poss collect clarinet from repairman (7.30)
+ all usual stuff
twinklesparkles · 21/02/2013 22:36

Today I've

Visited sil+bil
Washed dishes
Tidied kitchen
Wiped down all counters and windowsil
Done bags of recycling
Bleached bath, sink and toilet
Dusted coffee table
Put away dishes
Put a few clothes on airers
Made bed
Put livingroom futon/sofabed away
Tidied cupboard(threw loadsa magazines/junk/bits of paper away)

I'm just gonna put some stuff in a charity bag and leave it out for them to take in morning

:)
Not a lot but a lot more than I've done for a long time.
Feeling rough now.. Don't think that much bleach is suitable for a heavily pregnant woman to use Hmm

Feeling optimistic for tommorow will try and do more

twinklesparkles · 21/02/2013 22:37

Oh and also popped a load of washing in ;)

Minimammoth · 22/02/2013 08:28

Mornin. JKS and twinkle. I feel exhausted reading that lot.
Not thinking of moving, but trying to buy a tiny weeny patch of land next to ours. Just trying to get a realistic value, as we felt first price was a bit unreasonable and we can't afford it

SlatternismyMiddlename · 22/02/2013 08:44

Good grief! I too am knackered just reading Twinkles list and then got to end and remembered she was pregnant. For the love of all things good in the world - HAVE A LIE DOWN.

Whilst Twinkles is lying down would one of you be so good as to motivate me kick me up the backside

JKSLtd · 22/02/2013 10:02

Haha Slattern Grin

Handyman is here doing odd jobs - makes me feel like I'm achieving lots too by osmosis or something Grin

SlatternismyMiddlename · 22/02/2013 10:47

Why thank you JKS. I have

Washed last nights dishes
Cleaned counter tops
Put a wash on
Put dry clothes that didn't need ironed away
Put other dry clothes in ironing pile (note, not actually ironed)
DC's dressed (I'm still in pjs)
Watched quite a bit of scooby doo and the loch ness monster

Feel free to motivate kick again

cikecaka · 22/02/2013 10:59

Good Morning ladies! Have loads to do, hosting a tea party for DN this eve, and then DD3 is having a princess party tomorrow (in scout hall). Ordered party bags, decorations etc online last Monday week (11th) and still waiting! DN ordered her a present online from Aus last Tues and it was arrived Wed.

Need to get motivated!
Make Curry
Make Lasagne
Clear Table
Clean Counters
Sweep Floor

SlatternismyMiddlename · 22/02/2013 11:08

Oooooh, good luck CC. I did a princess party for DD, do not underestimate the effect of streamers and ribbon. I bought a huge thing of pastel pink ribbon, the kind you can wrap around gifts, and had long bunches of it together with the ends curled. I'm not describing it well, but it looked fab. I bought my gift bags in B and M dirt cheap.

Enjoy your marathon cooking session.

cikecaka · 22/02/2013 11:29

Thanls Slattern, I have a crowd coning that bring all the costumes and one of them dresses as a princess! They bring a chocolate fountain, cookies! So will take the stress out of it
