I thought it was time for a new Autumnal thread for all slatterns.

This thread is welcome to all who like to write lists or have loads of jobs to get done or if you need a kick up the bum for motivation. Also good for support with relationships, random advice on moths and birthday cakes!

Jks, your list is mega. Perhaps there is a role for the mega list, as a source to draw your mini list from. If it's written down, it can help you feel less stressed about remembering the things. And then a smaller list can be selected of the things you are actually going to do.

I love the story about the guy arriving to work to his already started list! That's great! I always leave work in such a hurry, but I have a work notebook in my handbag now, and wrote a few things on it whilst watching the dd do gymnastics. . I think I will need to get the notebook out when on the bus home. I used to walk home instead of taking the bus (pre dc) and spend the time planning tomorrow's attack, and by the time I arrived home, there was not a work related thought in my head, which was great.

Think I will do some 15 mins bursts this morning. Have :ome Tuition teacher coming at ten to fill out forms so need Kitchen looking somewhat normal!

Leaf - you are right, a mini list would be better, it is the need to get all these thoughts out of my head that makes me write down loads. It all buzzes about in there and I can't sleep. I have added more to my paper one but today is more about out and about tasks.

Jks, I think it's really important to have the big list, otherwise you waste brain energy on trying to remember it all!

Needless to say I did the bare minimum yesterday evening, so have a few hangover items for today's list.

Today, my job is housekeeper. I think I should pay myself for keeping the house. Then I might put some more solid hours in. If I think of it as my 'day off' then it's a total swindle to spend the whole day houseworking! What is the minimum hourly rate I can pay myself? If I get the money out of my purse, and put it in a jar, then I can buy myself some new clothes [scruff emoticon]

jks any tips for dd shoe shopping? My dd's trash a pair of shoes in 6 weeks

Love the idea of paying yourself Leafmould. Am on a roll today alright, don't knoww if its cause I can post on my phone or that I suddenly have some energy!

Right you two - stop it! This is most unslatternly behaviour and you are giving the rest of us slatterns a bad name

On behalf of everyone else I am now sitting watching tv with the DCs.

No tips really, dd is only little so doesn't walk that much! Though I had left it far too long between measuring oops.
The boys are hard on heir shoes - the answer so far with DS1 esp is lots o pairs of trainers!
Allows me not to have to clean the really muddy ones for a while too!

At ds1's first swim lesson at new level, hope he listens better than usual...

DS1 was fab at his lesson thankfully, and DS2 brought home 2 reading books x 100s
