I thought it was time for a new Autumnal thread for all slatterns.

This thread is welcome to all who like to write lists or have loads of jobs to get done or if you need a kick up the bum for motivation. Also good for support with relationships, random advice on moths and birthday cakes!

Back in a sec with my list.

Today/Sunday:

• some laundry (esp sch uniform) Done some
• more Christmas decorations up some
• reindeer up outside nope
• empty boxes put away (in loft or spare room?) Some upstairs
• lights switch on (Sun) DONE
• poss steam train visit (Sun) DONE
• sch bags ready Started

Mon:

• morning routine
• pop round corner for yoghurts
• quiet/rest day/DD nap/tidy kitchen
• sch runs, early tea & Beavers for DS1
• DC to bed, early night for me

Ongoing:

• family tree (scanning in old certs & photos & email contact); Dug out files to start again
• buy frames to hang on the wall & hang up as many photos as poss; need some sizes; get sizes into phone for TKMaxx trip
• lose weight! (From: 66kg; Target: 54kg); Scales said 54.4 woohoo
• sort wills; nudge DH to see what he wants to do
• clear out of the top of my desk
• kids photos albums; upload onto Snapfish; order printouts; put in albums. Step 1; sort all photos on iPhoto Doing
• try and sell unwanted light? eBay + other stuff?

Christmas:

• wrap DC presents; DD DONE
• find out if younger brother might be coming; Still vague
• early Christmas with PIL prep; presents wrapped
• get some crackers
• prob not doing present for DBro in Bermuda?
• presents for DH's Aunt & Uncle; to buy Sanctuary stuff Ordered & whisky
• presents for PIL; T-shirt for FIL & cosmetics for MIL; Bought & wrapped
• presents for DPs; DDad DONE
• Nanny presents; money & DS1 choice of silly socks

Good morning.

I had a night away with DH at the weekend so apart from putting up 2 trees got nothing else done.

I have set myself a deadline of this week to get the bulk of the wrapping done - clearly I have been on the drink.

Hope everyone is feeling better.

Feeling full of cold & germs, as is everyone in the house, yuck.

But getting on with things, slowly...

Mon:

Dh's aunt's present arrived yesterday & it's huge! It's a box of Champneys stuff from Boots (on special offer) and it makes MIL's present look puny in comparison, although about the same price. Stress. So, going to see if there's something suitable round the corner to avoid going into town, again. Meant to be conserving energy as much as poss this week to try and recover from bugs too.

Hi everyone. Yes Slattern believe me I would rather be asleep, but DH up early and I had a call booked in at 9.
Feeling a bit snowed under at the mo. but I have made good inroads into Xmas shopping. Smug emoticon.
Cleaner been in today. Thank god. House will be wrecked in v. short time though, even without dc. Sorry JKS.

So to conclude I have finished my xmas shopping apart from my gran and am extremely behind on my actual work. Ah well. Trouble is by the time I have got the dc to bed and tidied up it is 9pm and the last thing I feel like doing then is work.

Everyone needs time and space for themselves in my view Freaki, with dc's it's hard won. Feet up at 9 o'clock I say. Impressive done list though for a procrastinator.

Hello lovely ladies, I've been away for far far too long.... What have I missed? Any more babies anywhere?!

We are all knackered and poorly! DH in particular has been under the weather since returning from abroad at the end of October, just can't throw it off. Desperate for the end of term, only 9 days to go..... The number of children I saw having total meltdowns at school pick up today was more than ever!! One boy in DD's year literally screaming at anyone who came near him, which unfortunately included the headmistress!! His mother did not know what to do or where to look, he was just completely out of control.

Anyway, proper list is???? I don't know where but today I have:

• Collected first batch of Tesco Direct order ( have to go back though, they didn't give me all the parcels
• Bought wrapping paper and ribbons etc to wrap said stuff
• Sold Lego on ebay for a better price than expected (yey!)
• Sorted out shocking finances best I can!
• Got up to date with the Ironing

I still need to

• Feed DC
• Vacuum
• Get ready to go out
• Light fire
• chuck jacket potato in the oven for DH
• GO OUT!

Slattern cat was diagnosed last month with over active thyroid which can happen in cats of a certain age. I have to keep taking her back for blood tests so they can determine the right dosage of the drugs.

Welcome witco. Good to hear from you anonymous, hope the family feel better soon.
