I thought it was time for a new Autumnal thread for all slatterns.

This thread is welcome to all who like to write lists or have loads of jobs to get done or if you need a kick up the bum for motivation. Also good for support with relationships, random advice on moths and birthday cakes!

Intended to go into town today but DD and I faffed about until it was too near naptime, have dealt with spare room though - lots of boxes to go into the loft now.

Left to do today:

• orchestra for a bit
• collect DS1, swimming & McD's for tea
• DC bath & bed
• maybe some wrapping with tv (DH home late)

Ongoing:

• family tree (scanning in old certs & photos & email contact); Dug out files to start again
• buy frames to hang on the wall & hang up as many photos as poss; need some sizes; get sizes into phone for TKMaxx trip
• lose weight! (From: 66kg; Target: 54kg); Scales said 54.4 woohoo
• sort wills; nudge DH to see what he wants to do
• clear out of the top of my desk
• kids photos albums; upload onto Snapfish; order printouts; put in albums. Step 1; sort all photos on iPhoto Doing
• try and sell unwanted light? eBay + other stuff?
• get ready for DH's work do on Fri & work colleague coming to stay (spare room DONE, eek & bathroom deep clean, what to wear stress Tried on some dresses, not sure)

Went to work today. But they have banned me from going in for the rest of the week I did feel like total crap all day its true but I feel so pathetic having time off ill!

Thanks HMHB - doesn't feel like it though.

Freak - I get you, but you know you will recover so much quicker if you rest. As I found out to my cost recently when I couldn't rest because of the DC & DH being away with work. If I'd been working I would've had a few days off sick to collapse at home. (and i never took days off easily)

Sorry to hear there are so many ailments going around. It's especially hard to be motivated when you feel so rubbish.

I had some bad news at the hospital today, nothing life threatening , but have to have a treatment next week. Last time I had one I ended up in hospital with complications, so I'm hoping it doesn't happen again. It has given me the kick up the backside I needed as I'm bringing forward Christmas preparations, just in case I'm laid low.

Tonight I tackled the cupboard of chaos (thought the description went nicely with areas of doom). Once I bring pressies down from the attic to wrap they will go in there until 'the big day'.

DS wrote 5 more cards today - slow but we are getting there.

Slattern hope you are ok and it's nothing too serious.

The prob is, i just feel like i have a cold now. But as soon as i do anything it totally wipes me out!

I will take it easy today though and then tomorrow I might be well enough to get the xmas decorations out the loft...

The best thing about being off is that I am still in bed right now and I get to take the dc to school myself :-)

Yes I have been good. Mainly because bf took me to the empty house he is staying in as security for his friend, made me lie down and then ignored mewhile he worked so i had nothing to do except lie down and read a book

Apparently there was a 20% off day at one of their fave shops so they had to go.

Fawkes - getting decs down is a massive job in this house, the tree box is huge and takes at least 2 people so good luck to you!

Hmm list seems to have expanded...

JKS decorations arent too bad usually as I have nothing except those, a carseat and a suitcase of suitcases in my loft so they are all around the opening and don't require me to actually go into the loft . However I don't have a ladder so usually use the dc's trofast thingy and balance precariously on that so it is a bit of a PITA to take all the boxes out of the trofast, drag it to the landing and then vice versa once done.
