Oh boy, I am struggle-ing! We were up at 4.30 to drive back and I need to sleep. DDs slept in the car. Other than unpacking all I've done is sort food boxes, shower, prep dinner, put a load in the WM. still need to move a button on a school skirt, prep breakfast (grapefruit) and packed lunch for tomorrow. I'll catch up on news tomorrow. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

AdoraBell · 25/09/2012 02:43

So, not much to catch up on then, eh?

We've eaten, DDs have had their hair straightened, packed lunches & school skirt are done, DW on but no fresh grapefruit for brekkies- they'll have to make do with cereal. Well done cakes, tomorrow I need to do some cleaning and shopping, my bogs need scrubbing too.

beautyfades · 25/09/2012 03:07

ACK!

educatingarti · 25/09/2012 12:27

Me too Scout! I fantasise about being able to afford a housekeeper whould be amazing at cooking and an all round domestic godess!

Off to cook lunch and do a bit of sorting out!

AdoraBell · 26/09/2012 01:28

Still tired today, but I managed to vacuum downstairs - too much clutter upstairs, 3 loads in the WM including my sheets, dealt with DW, drove into town for lunch with OH, bought a new non-stick pan, picked up DDs & 1 friend, had dinner and taken out bread to defrost for sandwiches tomorrow. No wonder I'm tired. Had words with DDs 1 about spending money. She asked and I said no money available for going out buying sweets when we have them at home. The cheeky pre-teen took my purse out of my bag, opened it and declared " see, you do have money, you're a liar" Shock I kept calm and she still lives here, but she knows

Scout19075 · 26/09/2012 11:53

I've been ticking off my to do list but not done much proper FlyLady flying. Oh well. Today Toddler & I are having a picnic at our "indoor drive in" AND we're not watching a train DVD. WAHOO!

AdoraBell · 26/09/2012 12:26

Your picnic sounds lowly scout, I sometimes do picnic lunches here - which means we raid the cupboards and set things out on a blanket instead of me actually making a proper meal DDs both love itGrin

carrotsandcelery · 27/09/2012 10:29

Hello folks!

I haven't forgotten you all. I have been at a bit of a low ebb but I am trying hard to pull myself together and to get on with it.

I haven't read back yet. I will try to here and there but it is quite a lot of thread to get through.

I have been keeping up with my basic routines and have done some big declutters here and there so I haven't fallen off the wagon completely in my absence.

The place is a tip though.

Hey ho! Onwards and upwards.

AdoraBell · 27/09/2012 14:42

Yay, dogs are back and they stink lot's to do today so I'll come back when most of it's crossed off.

Sending feel good vibes for Carrots

AdoraBell · 27/09/2012 14:44

Ha ha, just seen my mistake re Scouts picnic, what I meant was that it sounds lovely Blush

bessie26 · 27/09/2012 20:26

It's good to see you again!

AdoraBell · 28/09/2012 04:01

Those muffins look good bessie I may have to give that recipe a whirl.

Dogs are cleanGrin but not a lot else got done. Found a tick on Floppy, one of the puppies, in teh folds of his ear. OH helped me actually t'other way round remove it while I stroked Floppies snout to keep him still and calm.

bessie26 · 28/09/2012 19:34

The girls & I went to play at the local children's center this morning, but I did manage to scrub the sink while they were finishing their lunch & vacuum downstairs this arvo, so I have done something useful today! Oh, and DD1 & I made the most delicious flapjacks in the world this afternoon. I think I might be buying all my winter clothes a size bigger!!

AdoraBell · 29/09/2012 02:33

Shock DD1's boyfriend (don't ask) had an accident on his trampoline and broke two vertibra in his neck! He's had surgery and is expected to recover fully, which I'm sure is a huge relief to his parents.

On the housework front, I've done some wiping of window sills & door frames, plus floors, and vacuumed upstairs and down. Gave the kitchen what I call a cat's lick, bathrooms a more decent clean and put away all the clean stuff. Done some hand washing, but haven't put it away yet. We've eaten, having picked DDs up from a friend's. DD1 has spoken to her FIL boyfriend's dad and they are delaying going to bed as I type. I feel a vino coming on.

AdoraBell · 30/09/2012 18:40

Me too bessie he's only 11. We visited yesterday. Surgery was successful and he's had a short walk but is very sore. He's had a bone graft from his hip and his head was clamped to keep his neck immobile during surgery. He's expected to make a full recovery. This is after coming off the trampoline and landing on his head. That happened last Sunday and he was X-rayed Monday and operated on Wednesday. His mum thought it wasn't serious because he wasn't dizzy or confused, he could move etc, but when the pain coudln't be controlled after 24 hrs she decided it must be more serious than she first thought.

So, our DDs now understand why OH is so anti-trampoline.

Not much flying done here but I need to get on this afternoon. Estate agents coming to do fresh photos on Tuesday. I hear tantrums happening upstairs, I've told them to tidy their rooms. WM and DW need emptying, recycling is out of the house, dogs have been walked and we've eaten, so I need to get cracking.

bessie26 · 30/09/2012 21:14

I just cannot understand why people don't have nets around their trampolines! - falling off it & jumping onto one from a great height (e.g. a shed roof) are the top accidents. (I researched before we got one)

I think I'm going to have to face up to the fact that I have to do the majority of my cleaning at the weekends now I'm back at work & DD1 no longer naps On a positive note though, DH told me I need to tell him something to clean & he would get it done during the week. He has said this before, but I'll make sure he does it this time! I am very tempted to get him to scrub the bogs this week!

AdoraBell · 01/10/2012 03:56

YY Bessie Defo get DH to do the loosGrin

I've seen a loo brush here what has a sticky out bit to get under the rim, so I'll be getting that next time I need to replace it. Well, laundry's done, OH has tidied up paint work and plaster on the walls from where the carpet fitters damaged a few weeks ago, we've all eaten, kitchen floor is clean, DDs have down their best but they have too much stuff, DD1's forgotten homework was started at 9.30 and I still need to freeze left overs and refrigerate pasta for tomorrow's packed lunch. I stopped to have a vino and an hour on MNWink but now I really do need to get those two things done and crawl into bed.

Tomorrow I'm going to black bag loads of stuff from upstairs to get the place looking presentable again.

Scout19075 · 01/10/2012 11:06

Happy Anniversary, MrScout!

Home from weekend away.

New month, new outlook, new attack to the house.

bessie26 · 01/10/2012 12:25

Oooh sounds good scout - have you got a plan? I'm going to print all my lists out again today & try to start doing some zone work.
