Where we attempt Flylady babysteps or whatever we can get done! Wink

Where are you all? Zoo, Carrots, bessie, Adora, Scout, Camper and any newcomers who would like to join. Smile

Ugh. Back to work.

Scout19075 · 18/09/2012 10:35

I have the car today which meant taking MrScout to work. It takes such a chunk out of my day and I then always feel like we're rushing/playing catch up. We haven't been in long but will need to leave soon to go skating -- if I feed Toddler before we go he'll be eating lunch stupidly early so we're eating on the way. If we were going to normal Toddler Skate session we'd be there by now but we're going to a group/gathering so it's not until 1 but because it takes us 30-40 minutes to get there I would want to leave here around noon but because of lunching we're leaving around 11-11:15 (need to stop to get cash on the way and drop something off at a friend's).

ARGH! I feel so frazzled!

No flying will be done. Sad

CatsInChaos · 18/09/2012 12:20

Hi all, just popping in for lunch. I have been out most of the morning and got soaked in the rain. Staying in now till school pick up.

I'm so tired (but we had a very good time this afternoon and met lots of new and interesting people.

CatsInChaos · 18/09/2012 20:56

T'is quiet here today!

Glad you had a good time Scout

Seeing as we are on the same page as the last linked babystep, I won't link tomorrows. You can just click on that link then go to the appropriate link at Flylady.

I'm not sure if I will be around much tomorrow but might pop in later in the day to see if anyone's around.

Hope everyone is o.k.

Hello Cats.

Toddler and I are going to have a quiet day after today's insanity. I've promised him a trip to the playground. We'll decide in the morning if we're going to try a new local Toddler activity. He kept sneezing today, though, so we might just go to the playground and stay home.

My whole body aches and I didn't even do any hardcore skating today. Twas fun, though!

bessie26 · 18/09/2012 21:53

I have just got back from my new yoga class

AdoraBell · 19/09/2012 03:15

Cats I hope DD gets better quickly

Bessie I used to do yoga, need to get get back it- and Pilates.

Scout glad you had such a nice time, hope you feel less tired now.

We had a great afternoon, I'm currently running round sorting last minute food items for our journey tomorrow. Friend's MIL was on form. When food was ready my OH got himself some and sat down, he did offer to help me but I was dithering and he was starving. So, she saw me with a plate and pointedly asked me if I needed a plate for OH, very much in a " how dare you serve yourself before your husband" kinda way. Then, as she was leaving after clearing people's drinks away -from their hands- she came over to me and said "you're thinner". It's a good job I'm think skinned and have heard about her antics already.

So anyway, we all carried on drinking as they left- tut tut.

Came home, got the DDs to bed, then the fireworks started so we all watched those. I did a load in the WM, towels, but not much else today as we've been busy packing, prepping and partyingGrin

Scout19075 · 19/09/2012 10:25

I know we're not sending Toddler to nursery but today is one of those "I'm on fire" days and I wish I was Toddler-free for a few hours. Unintentionally he keeps getting in my way and I keep stepping on his toys/trains/tracks (he's playing with them) in my effort to rock.

Scout19075 · 19/09/2012 13:01

A bomb has gone off in my house. I'm in here alone. I'm stuck alone with an absolutely miserable Toddler.

I'd like to crawl into bed and it be tomorrow.

Scout19075 · 19/09/2012 17:31

ARGH!

CatsInChaos · 19/09/2012 18:06

Hi Scout, How are you now?

Has toddler made the mess?

I have been to the funeral today. Kind of glad it's over with so I can try to move on. (Don't want that to sound heartless) Just so fed up of being stuck in a negative frame of mind. Trying to look forward now.

Did you find something nice, Cats?

Scout19075 · 19/09/2012 22:50

I hope your day was as okay as could be expected, Cats.

CatsInChaos · 20/09/2012 09:15

We had Swiss roll and custard, t'was loverly!

I am wondering about just abandoning this thread as there's not many people popping in lately. Maybe it has ran it's course.

If anyone is there?

"Hello"

I have decided to be kind to myself and not beat myself up over my house. Toddler & I have swimming this morning. I had hoped to get some donations to town beforehand but I'm not going to push it -- there's always tomorrow. Toddler's been coming into bed with us overnight so I haven't been sleeping as well. At one point last night I woke up and he was curled up on me, arms around my arm and his head on my shoulder, like a small boy who was afraid or hurt. He was, of course, asleep. The night before he kept whimpering in his sleep. Yesterda Toddler and I put cakes out for the birds (homemade seed & fat balls we've been calling "Birdseed Cakes") so we must remember to check them either before or after swimming.

CatsInChaos · 20/09/2012 09:26

That's fair enough Scout, Smile
If there's something I've learned it's that you need to put your loved one's welfare and your health before your house. The house will still be there tomorrow but you never know how long you have got left with your loved ones!

If we do abandon the thread please feel free to PM me if you see me around on Mumsnet.

Look after yourselves everyone! Smile

Hi, sorry I'm not getting much chance to get on lately - once I've been to work & done my chores, there is little time for MNing & I feel bad that I can't keep up with the conversations!

There used to be another fly thread, perhaps we could gate crash that one?

CatsInChaos · 20/09/2012 09:29

Hi bessie
May be we could if they will have us Grin

The other thread is so big and scary. [scaredy cat face]

Scout19075 · 20/09/2012 09:47

Oh, I'm still going to be flying. It's just yesterday my head was in a bad space regarding the inability to see all of my hard work.

CatsInChaos · 20/09/2012 09:57

I have asked them if I can join?

Some days I don't get much flying done and others I do well.

Scout I get what you mean about the other thread being big but then there will be more people around if you feel lonely. Wink
