Ta Da 2:

Ebay parcels wrapped - the last until next Monday!
Ds's swim bag packed
Ds's curtains opened and lights off as he had left it all on this morning
Windows open all over the place to air the house now it is sunny again (rained again yesterday)

bessie26 · 01/05/2012 10:18

carrots I am barefoot, I don't want to get ahead of myself! Wink

I had written myself a list, but then realised I have to take DD2 for jabs this arvo, which means she needs a short nap now (or she will be a gibbering wreck before they put the needle in) which means I can't leave the house & goto B&Q - arrgh!

Scout19075 · 01/05/2012 10:27

Morning all

Massively overslept this morning Blush! And now I have a painter singing very loudly and out of tune just outside my workroom window! He's enjoying himself - but I'm not! I feel a right grump!

Somebody please remind me to go to bed much earlier tonight (even though I was ironing last night and got a bit carried away with wanting to do more!!)

OK - today's list

Work musts

Write up 5 lessons Blush How did that happen?
Prepare 2 lessons
Teach 2 lessons
Update finances

Household/personal musts
Unload dishwasher and reload with dirties
Tidy away ironing stuff from living room before student and parent arrives
Organised lunch
Organised tea
Flylady mission

And maybe some other stuff!

bessie26 · 01/05/2012 11:12

DD2 has jabs after lunch, so what I will get done is very much dependant on how that goes!

Must Do

  • check calendar
  • check make list
  • wipe weetabix off highchair, table & floor
  • what's for lunch?
  • take DD2 for MMR
  • what's for tea?
  • bath & bed the DDs (DH playing golf)
  • pack bags for nursery/pre-school tomorrow
  • shine sink

Would like to do

  • wash our towels
  • stretch
  • unload dishwasher
  • put away DD1's birthday cards

House Blessing

  • scrub loo & sink upstairs
  • scrub loo & sink downstairs
  • vacuum downstairs
  • mop downstairs
  • empty all bins

Zone Work

  • 5 min room rescue porch
  • hotspot the post pile
  • 15min declutter dining room
carrotsandcelery · 01/05/2012 12:12

Arti I am concentrating on getting to bed earlier this month so we can remind each other. I am aiming for about 10.30pm.

bessie26 · 01/05/2012 12:15

Sounds good. arti & carrots please nag me to get to bed early too. Are you going up to bed at 10:30 or lights off? I should really be doing lights off at 10:30

carrotsandcelery · 01/05/2012 12:17

Our bedroom is downstairs but I am going along to bed at 10.30 and then reading for a little while. I am finding my book fairly dull so I am not reading long. We can certainly all nag each other anyway.

educatingarti · 01/05/2012 12:24

Tonight - it should be lights off at 10.30pm. I have a ridiculously early physio appointment at 8.00am tomorrow. ( Technically, I'm not going UP to bed either carrots as I live in a flat Grin)

It's really weird, all day, collapsing into bead feels like itwould be the best thing ever. Then when it gets to 10.oopm, I suddenly get a second wind. Didn't get to sleep until after 1.00am last night ( went to be soon after midnight!)

educatingarti · 01/05/2012 12:24

bed, not bead of course!

carrotsandcelery · 01/05/2012 12:29

For me it is rejoicing in the peaceful time with no dcs and no guilty conscience nagging away at me as I know I can't really do much by way of jobs in the evening.

It is added to if dh works late as he needs to wind down when he comes in and it doesn't feel fair to leave him on his own.

CatsSleepAnywhere · 01/05/2012 13:08

Ta da's so far:

breakfast
get dressed
made bed
DC to school
MNetted
had a shower
watched some telly
picked up DD from nursery
lunch

bessie My dd has her preschool booster today. --I'm dreading it--

OP posts:

Organised lunch
Organised tea
Flylady mission

bessie26 · 01/05/2012 13:28

Hope the jabs go ok cats

carrotsandcelery · 01/05/2012 13:30

Sympathies for everyone getting jabs today or for those taking them to get jabs as well. I include myself in that as I didn't like it!

carrotsandcelery · 01/05/2012 13:31

Cats how old is your dd? Is she really at preschool booster age already?

carrotsandcelery · 01/05/2012 13:53

I have just realised we are only on day 1 of babysteps so I don't have to feel bad about my sink last night.

Ta Das:

dog towels hung on airer in garden to dry
bed sheets hung inside to dry (they were in separate washes)
the rest of the back log of ironing done - Yay!

CatsSleepAnywhere · 01/05/2012 14:14

She is 3.5 and they sent us a letter to say it was today. bessie your DD is a similar age isn't she.

It's MMR booster and pre-school boosters.

carrotsandcelery · 01/05/2012 14:17

I suppose she will start school next year. I forget you have a different system sometimes.

carrotsandcelery · 01/05/2012 14:17

That said, mine may have had those innoculations when they were 3 as well.

It is all a blur tbh.

I hope it all goes well for both of you.

CatsSleepAnywhere · 01/05/2012 14:19

Shock I hadn't realized that carrots. With her only being 3 now but I think you are right! They have to be 4 to start don't they?

OP posts:
carrotsandcelery · 01/05/2012 14:26

I am obviously in a different system here but with you do they not start reception when they are 4? I think there is a cut off date around the end of August or September.

Up here they generally start at the age of 5 but ds was 4 just because of when his birthday lands.

bessie26 · 01/05/2012 14:41

I thought the "pre-school" jabs were anytime between being 3 & 5 (or going to school). Lots of DD1s friends have had them. I asked the nurse today & she said that they usually send out letters when they are 3.5, so she should get hers soon, or if I wanted I could just book her in myself.

Here they start school the term they are 4 (I think)

DD2 survived her 3 jabs (I think the calpol afterwards made it all better!) and fell asleep in the buggy on the walk back Smile

bessie26 · 01/05/2012 14:43

Oh, when I said they start school, I think I should have said that they start "reception", which from what I've heard is quite like nursery, but in the school building. My friend's DS starts in september & when she went to visit one of the local schools the teacher told her that the PE "lesson" lasts an hour, but about 40minutes of it is taken up by them getting themselves undressed & dressed again! Grin

carrotsandcelery · 01/05/2012 14:45

Grin bessie I can imagine it.
