Sorry I didn't reply Cats. The bus must have lost its internet connection as we left the city. I am just experimenting with getting Mumsnet on my phone. Dh chose that particular phone for me as he thought I could chat while I was waiting outside activities.
The psychologist went well. She was very keen to point out that it is not our fault that ds is as he is and that we are doing a good job trying to support him. I am not stealth boasting btw. It is not a great feeling to have to take your son to a psychologist and it means a lot when someone tells you you are doing the right thing by them. 
We didn't really tackle the social skills today. We are being offered the chance to have him tested further as this was just a preliminary test. He show some traits which could be linked with autism and aspergers but also traits which aren't linked with either of those conditions so they are a bit
They were suggesting taking him in and working with him to see what they thought themselves.
Today we worked on calming panic attacks, outbursts of anger and frustration and methods for keeping his environment calm for him. We spent most of the time working on his sleep pattern though (nothing new there).
The time change is coming up and there is concern that could muck up a plan that is rolling along quite nicely for now.
We are also going to velcro his blackout blind right onto his window frame so no light can creep in during the bright mornings over summer.
