Pyjamas- How Often Do You Wash Your DC's?

This is for those whose children aren't in pull ups/ nappies at night ( IME their pyjamas need washing more frequently because of the wee smell ).
How often do you wash your DC's pyjamas ?
Mine change theirs 2/3 times a week - I'm just wondering what other people do.

Bottoms every night, tops after about 5 wearings. Not sure whether every night is necessary tbh, it just saves sniffing and deciding!

Seona1973 · 21/02/2012 14:03

mine normally get 2 wears out of theirs

Fisharefriendsnotfood · 21/02/2012 14:03

Every second night. Ds still in nappies, dd wears a knickers in bed.

Seona1973 · 21/02/2012 14:04

p.s. mine wear them while eating breakfast so dont always get 2 days out of them!

LieInsAreRarerThanTigers · 21/02/2012 14:04

Once a week (approx) after a bath. Or if there is a 'wee' accident or an obvious pong!

Indith · 21/02/2012 14:08

When they have too much breakfast down them. Not that fussy about pjs really, not like they need to go out and look presentable in them.

Littlepumpkinpie · 21/02/2012 15:01

Am I the only one who does fresh every single night

D0oinMeCleanin · 21/02/2012 15:04

Dd1 has a habit of leaving her sleepsuit downstairs so it gets tidied up and chucked in wash with the rest of the washing I have that day.

Other than that they both have several sets of PJs and so generally choose clean ones each day although I prefer them to use one set 2/3 times.

Baileyscoffeeandcampfires · 21/02/2012 15:28

Mine wear fresh pjs every day at home but I stretch it out if we are on holiday or camping.

Thetokengirl · 21/02/2012 15:31

Wow! I feel very slovenly Blush
My DC get clean PJs once a week.

PerryCombover · 21/02/2012 15:34

Every night

BonfireOfKleenex · 21/02/2012 16:00

I wouldn't do clean bottoms every night if pants were worn with them, but as they aren't I treat them as pants, so daily wash.

mousymouseafraidofdogs · 21/02/2012 16:02

once a week together with the bedding. they wear pants that get changed daily though.

Camblewick · 21/02/2012 16:23

Every night. They don't wear underwear under their pj's.

TheCunningStunt · 21/02/2012 16:25

Every day here. Occasionally two days. But mine get in from school and get them straight onBlush so eat tea in them. They obv don't do this if they have something on, and really only do it over winter when it's dark by 4pm.

TheCunningStunt · 21/02/2012 16:26

Plus both my kids sweat lots!! ESP DS Hmm this is without a duvet on him...his cousin is the same.

CremeEggThief · 21/02/2012 17:06

Once or twice a week for my 9 year old. Same for me, too. No need for any more than that.

shockers · 21/02/2012 17:08

Every day (sweaty kids)

NannyPlumIsMyMum · 21/02/2012 19:07

O no .
There are so many of you doing the every day thing .
Mine dont wear knickers underneath - but I do do the sniff test though !
I won't be increasing the frequency of washing them because i have too much already .

Why are there so many 'How often' threads at the moment? Confused

I change ds's when they are dirty/lost --he has a habit of hiding the bloody things. Normally twice a week. He wears pants.

Mallinky · 22/02/2012 11:26

Mine wear pants to bed which they change every day.
Change pjs twice a week.

LauraShigihara · 22/02/2012 11:30

Every day for all of us.

Petrean · 22/02/2012 13:05

All of us (adults too) get clean PJs every night.

imnotmymum · 22/02/2012 13:08

Clean every night mostly by default as kids cannot do folding just chuck inwash basket also after shower/baths like clean jammies

Tonksforthememories · 22/02/2012 13:14

Once a week, sometimes more often. DS every other day but he's still in nappies. DDs normally wear nighties with no pants, so no contact issues!
