You are all going to be so disappointed. My hobby is horse riding. Ta da!! I really wasn't trying to be coy. I didn't realise you were all so nosey took such an interest in fellow thread members Grin I am totally mortified that it is not hang gliding or rally racing or anything a bit more adventurous Blush

54 meals! Shock

Mind you, we've probably got about 30 if I got as far as looking...

I feel like chocolate now but DH has hidden the stash. Hmm

Only 15 mins till I need to wake DS from his nap - I've managed to waste an hour of it so far. Hmm

BlackCatinaWoollyhat · 17/11/2011 14:55

I have given up on the cleaning for a while. Will carry on after the school run.

I am amazed you have that many meals Or even know how many meals you have.Shock

I am on the other hand verylazy unorganized. I don't even know what we are having for dinner tonight. Blush

I need to try and get in the habit of meal planning. I seem to be able to do it over the weekend very well. (After we have done the main shop) but then we get to mid week onwards and everything goes down hill.

I haven't been back to doctors yet. I'm the worlds worst procrastinator!
I think I am still anaemic cause I still look pale at times and get out of breath
walking up the small hill to school.
It is my own fault though as I am rubbish at taking the iron tablets. I haven't had them all yet and I was given them in September (I think).
I was given 3 packets though so maybe I would still have some left if I was taking them properly Confused

bessie26 · 17/11/2011 16:16

BLACK make blood test appt NOW!

bessie26 · 17/11/2011 16:24

I only know how many meals we have because I just went & counted them! It's partly because of the slow cooker... I keep making huge batches of stuff (like chilli) for when the GP come round to babysit on mondays, then they decide they aren't going to stay for lunch after all and I have loads of leftovers!

angel I would LOVE some choc, but I'm not eating any this week because we have a theory that it's making DD2s possetting worse

black when do you have to take your pills? My small brain can only really cope with taking pills first thing in the morning (I have one of those boxes with the days of the week written on it like an old lady!) and am rubbish at remembering to take them at any other time. I had to set an alarm on my phone so i would remember to take the antibiotics last week!

BlackCatinaWoollyhat · 17/11/2011 16:47

I couldn't live without chocolate!

I try to take my tablets near bedtime cause that's the only time of day I am not getting annoyed distracted by the DC. That is my ME time.

bessie26 · 17/11/2011 17:03

Could you put them beside your bed so you remember to take them before you go to sleep?

GossipWitch · 17/11/2011 17:23

I always put my anti-depressants in the coffee caddy, so that when I go for my morning coffee they're there and I have to take them, my next door neighbour does the same thing with her contraceptives. Anyway the hoovering got done as did my bedroom, however the hoover started to smell a bit rubbery and makes a funny noise now so I think I've broke it, may have to take it apart in a mo.

BlackCatinaWoollyhat · 18/11/2011 07:34

Morning all, I have a busy day lined up. Might give the crisis cleaning another go today cause I never got the kitchen finished yesterday.
Also need to do a Birthday cake for DD (3 tomorrow!).
Right I'm off to get dressed.

Carrotsandcelery · 18/11/2011 21:05

Hello all! It looks like there has been a lot of action while I have been away.

BlackCat I keep my meds on my bedside table and take them when I go to bed. I take my iron and vitamins in the morning though as iron interferes with my thyroxine meds otherwise.

I agree that putting them on something that I won't forget to use first thing in the morning will help.

I have come home to a reasonably tidy house Shock I am impressed. I have also clearly been missed and feel a bit appreciated Grin

I have successfully decluttered my bank account shopping while I was away. Most of it was Christmas shopping though so I don't feel too guilty. I did get a little bit for me too though.

Welcome back Carrots.Smile
I have just sat down after finishing decorating DDs Birthday cake. It's been an extremely busy day for me and DH.
DD woke us up at 5.00am so an early start then it was get DS ready for school.
Next DD had to go to my mums while we did present and food shopping.
That took most of morning.Shock
This afternoon and evening was tidying/cooking although the kitchen again looks like a bomb has hit it after my cake activities.
So I will be off to bed shortly.
Will try to fit my Iron into my bedtime routine.
The morning would be no good cause of the Coffee.

Carrotsandcelery · 18/11/2011 22:18

I think you need to take iron with some food so read the packet carefully.

What have you got for dd?

How has the big version of the cake turned out?

bessie26 · 18/11/2011 22:59

Taking pills is a pita. this says taking milk at the same time as iron pills can hinder their absorption!
I take my thyroid pills first thing in the morning, & am supposed to take my multivit with my dinner (it says to take with your main meal), but I never, ever remember! I'm going to set an alarm on my phone now to remind me!

DD2 & I are off to an underwater photo shoot tomorrow morning, so I hope she sleeps better tonight than the last few (up every 2hrs last night ) The fact that I'm writing this with her sleeping on my lap is not a good sign

Hope mini-black has a great day tomorrow! Grin

AngelDog · 19/11/2011 07:59

Well done to MrCarrots on the tidy house. :)

bessie, hope you manage to disprove the chocolate theory soon and that DD's sleep improves quickly.

I took DS to the eczema nurse who was really pleased with his skin - the super steroids they gave us seem to have cleared up his face for the time being. We're booked to go back in 2 months, which is pretty good since we were having to go fortnightly before. :)

All my blood tests came back negative / normal (apart from the coeliac disease one which seems to have been lost in transit Hmm). So no real suggestions as to why I've been so tired, but it is improving a bit now which is good.

I'm not doing very well on going to bed on time, and I need to crack the habit of leaving hanging out washing until last thing before I go to bed.

But on the positive side I have managed to hoover the bedroom weekly for the last month or so which is definitely progress.

I need to hoover downstairs as the kitchen floor is filthy and DS spends loads of time playing down there.

BlackCatinaWoollyhat · 19/11/2011 09:55

Just popped in to say Hi,
Will be busy with DD today, playing etc.
If we get time later might try to put cake onto profile.
Have a good day everyone!
catch you later.Smile

Carrotsandcelery · 19/11/2011 10:50

Have a great day with blackkitten blackcat - I hope you eat too much cake and play too much and get over tired etc. Grin

Carrotsandcelery · 19/11/2011 10:52

bessie I meant to say, I was deprived of lots of things when feeding my dcs and not one thing made a difference except possibly fresh orange juice. Our theory is that ds just really liked feeding and fed until he was sick (every single day). Ironically, he was a REALLY fat baby Grin

BlackCatinaWoollyhat · 19/11/2011 16:51

Have now downloaded new birthday cake photo onto profile.

Today has gone quite well apart from DD loosing 2 small parts of a new toy she has. (they are hopefully somewhere in the house)
We got her a Hello kitty house and puzzles. She also got some other presents and lots of money.

What have you all been up to?

Carrotsandcelery · 19/11/2011 16:56

The cake looks great BlackCat. I am glad it has been a good day.

I am struggling today. I feel awful. I don't know if I am exhausted to a silly degree or if I have caught a bug. I fear a bug as my throat feels bad and I am struggling to be awake.

BlackCatinaWoollyhat · 19/11/2011 17:06

Oh dear Carrots, hope you feel better soon. We all had colds last week.

I had better get off here for a bit now and sort food for us all.

bessie26 · 19/11/2011 19:47

angel hang that washing up now!

black the cake looks fab, glad she had a good day Grin

carrots early to bed for you tonight, hope you feel better soon.

I gave up all sorts of foods when DD1 had colic & nothing helped. DH & I think that DD2 is just eating too much & that the little flappy bit that holds the food down hasn't got strong enough yet. However, we think the no choc/no sick thing has happened a couple of times so we thought it was worth a go. I had half a bar of white G&B yesterday & she's been a little bit sicky for the first time in a week

No flying done here, was out this morning & napped while the girls napped this arvo. DH wants take-away tonight, I suspect I'll be going to bed again straight after that! Zzzzz

Carrotsandcelery · 19/11/2011 20:09

I struggled through the afternoon and then gave up and had a bubble bath and read my book. I felt ok in my bath but now I am back on the sofa I feel really grotty so I will be off to bed soon I think with some Lavendar oil.

Luckily dh has made everyone tea and done the dishes so although I have not been flying things don't look too bad.

Our washing machine is not working again and the tumble dryer/drier (??) is still out of action so I can't face what to do about the laundry.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a brighter day.

OP posts:
bessie26 · 19/11/2011 21:13

Eeek carrots sounds like to need to get yourself an invite to the GPs for lunch tomorrow & borrow their machine!

I am cold & headachy. DD1 has a horrible cough (am going to Dr next week if it doesn't improve) & DD2 has a sore throat (took her to Drs last week) so will be amazed if I don't get anything.

The alarm on my phone to remind me about my multivit went off earlier, but I have only just remembered... Can I be bothered to go downstairs & get it???

AngelDog · 20/11/2011 11:46

Oh dear, it sounds like various lurgies are doing the rounds. Hope you feel better soon, Carrots & bessie.

DH, DS and I have all got food poisoning after eating what I suspect were undercooked sausages at a friend's house last night.

I'm lying on the sofa feeling sorry for myself while DH lies in bed feeling sorry for himself. DS is cheerful thankfully, despite having had V last night and D this morning.

Carrotsandcelery · 20/11/2011 12:51

Oh dear Angel that sounds really horrid. I hope it passes very very quickly. What a sorry bunch we are right now. Sad

I feel much more myself now. I hope that I was just ridiculously tired. I didn't manage to sleep until after 1am but I didn't get up until nearly 9am which is very unusual for me. I had woken before then but dozed in and out.

I have loaded the dishwasher, listed a few charity items for ebay and dd has swept and washed the kitchen area of the kitchen. That is it so far today Blush but then it is Sunday. Grin

Hi all, I started today on a good note.
Have done: made bed, got dressed, sorted dry washing into piles for putting away later, done more washing and hanged out and on airers and cleaned bathroom sink.

I'm afraid I'll have to join the unwell people now as I have a stomach ache.
