OK, so I'm moving back into my lovely lovely oh-so-nearly-finished house in 3 weeks time. Alleluyah. But my feet are not touching the floor at the moment... lists as long as my arm (hard copy types that I can stuff in bags and pockets and cross out with a nice fat felt tip pen when things are done) but no lists on here at the moment!

Not without a couple of hitches in our final weeks, but my builders remain absolutely fantastic at just getting things done and nothing is too much trouble... even when it's looking a bit dicey, they simply say, don't worry, we'll find a way. .

We had 8 hours here too JKS! I woke up in agony and extremely damp!!

DH is off work today, which ought to be good but is in fact turning out to be a nightmare because he is underfoot and keeps questioning my timetable. I have sent him and DS1 out

House ok at the moment, seem to have got it to a manageable level so it's fairly easy to keep it ticking over. Or at least Ithink I have, I'll probably look at it properly in a few days and start shrieking about dust/clutter/cobwebs

Still emailing ginger bodybuilder but no talk of meeting as yet...impressed by his correct usage of 'envious' yesterday

Big wedding this weekend with dd at bridesmaid, her dress is gorgeous. Looking forward to it but also a bit worried/nervous/not sure what as am going alone....not that I'm anything other than happy for them but sometimes weddings as a single person can be a bit lonely and make you think about what you haven't got I suppose.

Underfoot!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh yes, by god I know that feeling?!? We run as smooth as clockwork until...... DH takes a day off at short notice (like tomorrow ) and it rapidly goes tits down.

No lists other than paper and felt tip pen which have been busier than ever once again.

Freaky - how lovely that DD is a bridesmaid.. hey, there might be some serious totty there?!?!? You never know

Oh, it's nearly 7pm, and I don't even have the promise of wine o'clock to look forward to . Have enforced a "no wine mid week zone" in the house the past few weeks. Just got too much going on, even a glass or two clouds me the next morning and slows me down... I think I am getting old since the wine really gets to me these days, even in small quantities!

But, the good news tomorrow is Friday and for that, all rules no longer apply!

Just spent a good couple of days with DGS and DGD1 ( very cute at 18months now) I actually managed to get bedtime story job.

Will upload dd's to profile, she was VERY specific what she wanted and friend had to get it made in the end cos couldn't find one to meet bridesmaidzilla's specifications (luckily what dd wanted and what friend wanted was the same )

It is a concrete offer, but not quite what he was told verbally. Still a very big step up in terms of career, and a good salary increase - but not the job title he thought, which crucially affects the bonus and 'extras' percentages because it is at a lower level.
The problem is that he was told verbally that he would be doing this role for about 6-12 months and would then be promoted because they think he is brilliant blah blah blah, but there is no commitment in the contract as to when that review will take place - basically asking him to take it on trust. So he's feeling that they have been slightly disingenuous and are hoping he will take the offer as it stands and essentially be doing a higher level job but not getting paid for it.
He's now questioning whether he wants to work for them if they are prepared to (seemingly) try and screw him over right at the start.
So he is hoping to get another offer from the interview today.

It is making me remember why I gave up work - I hate all this corporate bollocks!
