Bunting and lucky dip would be too much for my To Do list. Grin Nice thought though. Grin

I've done quite well and the 15 mins have added up, then I made a book browser box from an old cardboard banana crate so DS books are accessible to him. Quick, cheap and easy!

Dinner is in the oven, though I seem to have produced as many pots as I managed to clear earlier. Confused

  • kitchen - 15 mins
  • front room, tidy
  • dinner
  • hoover
  • DS bath and bed
Alibabaandthe40nappies · 27/01/2011 17:36

Anon - glad DH is ok, it is horrid waiting for someone to come out from a GA. Hope he is a good patient for you Grin

Wasting - that is brilliant, well done! I will be joining you on the weight loss once this baby is out and I'm over the first couple of months of feeding. I am bridesmaid for a friend in September - argghh!

JKS - it's a pain isn't it? I keep thinking I feel the baby shifting round, but I think it is only turning front to back. OP and transverse really would be c-section territory! Grin

DONE
De-scale kettle
Go through grandma's wardrobe and wash anything with blobs on
Finalise Waitrose order for tomorrow (for my house)
Start dinner
Order new hoover for grandma

TO DO
Dinner and clear up

Clean downstairs bathroom
Fit new mop head
Get DS into bed (needs hairwash)

Wasting - i want a book box like that, wonder if I could manage making one. Have looked online before and been shocked at the cost of the style i fancy, sort of library-style on wheels.

Am seriously knackered today, wish DH was going to be home for bedtime but no luck this week.

Anon, grumpy = healthy. Smile

JKS, that is what I wanted. I saw this while searching earlier and decided I may as well cut a few inches from the from of a cardboard box and make my own. Grin
I wish I was good at woodwork as I'd make myself all sorts.

Ali, thanks, we are sort of ttc-ing atm, but I am going to stick at the diet til I get pg and hopefully I can keep up the walking/exercising too.

He is not a good patient. A particularly impatient patient as it were... anyway, he is very very relieved to have done it. Him being at home for the next week is actually fantastic timing as we can spend lots of time planning stuff for our building project. Given half a chance he will be up a ladder and on the scaffolding if I turn my back for two seconds, so that will keep his mind busy and means we can actually make some good progress on decision making....

Wasting - quick easy and cheap!!!! Gold star to you, you fabulous slattern, Wink

OP posts:
TimeWasting · 27/01/2011 19:55

Eco-friendly too. Grin

JKS, I haven't done anything fancy with it at all. It was a low cardboard box and I've took most of one edge off, leaving a 10cm lip at the front and then stood all the books up in it. If it's a success we may decorate it in the future. Grin

DH is out today so won't be back for bath and bed either. A steady afternoon in that case.

Who indeed organises meetings for 4.30 on friday. Am tired too today. Think I am all ready for tomorrow. Also trying to organise house for DD2 and her DH to stay. Meanwhile DH home early and doing shooting practice Hmm
Abviously blind to mucky conservatory floor, piles of random stuff everywhere and table full of paperwork (his).

Sorry went off on one a bit there. Ahem. Calm Calm

Anonymousbird · 28/01/2011 16:41

OOOOOO, Mini, exciting times.

And yes, who does organise meetings for 4.30 on Friday - honestly, either someone who wants a very short meeting, OR to get nothing done because everyone is just wishing they weren't there/clock watching/trying to put things off til next week!!

No time to list today (but I am being very patient with my patient! Wink) so have a good weekend one and all.

DD has a friend here for tea, so off to cook some plain pasta (all that DD's friend will eat apparently, oh, with grated cheese, nothing else....) At least it is easy!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 28/01/2011 16:56

Hello everyone :)

DH back safely and were are all home, oh it is lovely to be in our house. I love my grandma but she is immensely hard work at times!!

Mini - argh to DH, that kind of behaviour does my head in!

JKS - I sympathise on the Friday meeting. Some knobjockey kind soul at his work has a penchant for the 5pm Friday meeting. Annoys the hell out of me because this bloke lives about 10-15 mins from the office whereas everyone else has a long commute (DH's is about 50 minutes which is good compared to some), but he is too senior for people to say they can't do it. Angry

DONE
All home and cars unloaded
Waitrose delivery
Flop down in exhaustion

TO DO
Cup of tea
Unpack the shopping
Unpack some bags
Dinner
Clear up
DS bath and bed
Early night for us

We are doing nothing this weekend, seeing no-one. Hurrah! :)

TimeWasting · 29/01/2011 09:43

Hello. We ended up going out yesterday so didn't get back on to update list.

Am developing a cold and feeling grumpy. Grin

Motivation please!

  • open curtains and window
  • fold dry clothes
  • put load in
  • get DS some second breakfast
  • get me another coffee

That will do for now!

Anonymousbird · 29/01/2011 10:23

Morning Wasting! I love the fact that you also call it "second breakfast", we kind of found that phrase a couple of years ago and the DC go mad for it!

Ali - quiet weekend here too. Today consists of:

  • Watch Saturday kitchen
  • Lovely big brunch
  • Making sausage rolls
  • .... crashed out at home watching some form of sport/dodgy black and white movies

So mostly food - watching, eating, making... Saturdays have become our lazy day, and I quite like it. Sundays seem to be much busier for us, so we just chill on Saturday.

(Though I do need to empty the DW, walk the dog (DH incapacitated), run the hoover round, put on a load and do minimal ironing... Hmm)

OP posts:
Alibabaandthe40nappies · 29/01/2011 10:51

Morning :)

Yes we use 'second breakfast' as well. It is from Lord of the Rings. I sometimes think that I should have been a hobbit because you get to have so many meals Grin

Well DH and DS both had lovely sleeps last night, me not so great. I just cannot get comfy. Hopefully I will get a nap later!

DONE
All up
All showered and dressed (me and DS done)
Breakfast
Unload dishwasher
1st wash on

TO DO
5 more loads of washing
Put breadmaker on
Be lazy
Lunch
Phone fireplace shop (DH)
Be lazy some more
Dinner
DS bath and bed
Clearing up
Another early night

minimammoth · 29/01/2011 11:08

Mtivation for Wasting:
c'mon lovely girl, you can do it, staedy as she goes... yeh.
OR
get off your fat bottom and get summat done.
You choose.GrinGrin

TimeWasting · 29/01/2011 11:17

Thanks Mini, I'll take both. Grin

Anon, sounds a lovely day.

I am such a hobbit. Barefoot and curly-haired too. Grin

The boys have gone out for a walk so I should really do something useful.
Or at least have a shower. Hmm

  • open curtains and window done
  • fold dry clothes done
  • put load in done
  • get DS some second breakfast done (crust gets eaten if there's Nutella on it Shock)
  • get me another coffee done
+ change nappy twice done + wave them off done

They won't be long and I have to work out what I can have from KFC with my Weight Watchers ProPoints. Grin

So -

  • work out Points for the day
  • Kitchen 15 mins
  • coffee
Alibabaandthe40nappies · 29/01/2011 11:36

Wasting - a shower in peace and quiet sounds good :)

Anonymousbird · 29/01/2011 11:55

I had no idea that "second breakfast" came from LoTR. Well, you learn something every day

And don't talk to me about Hobbits!!! Our house, until very recently, had the word "Hobbit" in its name. It was given to it by owners donkeys years ago. It used to drive us MAD because you give people the name of your house and we always got the comments like "ooo, are you all really small" "ooo, are you really big Tolkien fans" etc etc.

We got so fed up, we changed the name. But whenever I hear about The Hobbit I get all twitchy and develop a nervous tic!

GOOD NEWS! MIL has saved me one of my jobs today - she has just taken the DDog for a walk... Hoorah. It is soooo handy having them live approximately 50 yards away!

OP posts:
