No worries Freaky. Hope you feel better for tomorrow.

JKS, I get too irritable with DS really sometimes. It's usually my fault that he's grumpy in the first place. Didn't take the buggy to go to friends this afternoon, and it was just too far.
He does need to know that I'm not just saying things for the hell of it though. The quicker we get home, the sooner we can sit down!

I've got a busy day tomorrow, I'm going out in the evening, and there's still lots of cleaning and tidying to do before rellies come to babysit!

Tomorrow -

  • tidy DS room and bring down farm toys
  • fold dry washing
  • plough through washing if poss
  • bathroom
  • kitchen
  • hoover through
  • supermarket

JKS - it is a great arrangement. Whenever they go away to their holiday place, they basically take her with them. MIL loves to walk, she will walk for hours along the coast, the dog swims, runs and is at her happiest there. Sadly MIL's own dog died a year or so back, so this is her dog-owning substitute.. She's not ready for a new puppy, but loves to dog walk. Rent-a-dog!

Oh I hate myself when I get grumpy with them. And it's almost always my fault too. DD cut her finger yesterday, and it really hurt and the first thing I said was something like "well, be more careful with the scissors". When all she needed was Mummy to scoop her up and give her finger a kiss. Which is what I did about 5 seconds later when I realised how mean I was being. Blush Sad.

Mini - how many frogs have you got?!

And yes, those pesky moths! Or Meuths, as Inspector Clouseau used to say (is it just me that remembers that?!?!?)

No list except:

Make Sheps Pie simmering now
Make naughty snacks to take to friend's house
Go to friend's house to watch rugby
Watch rugby.
Come home, eat sheps pie!

OP posts:
JustKeepSwimming · 26/02/2011 14:59

Anon - that is a great arrangement :)

DS1 - well, partly he was tired and i should have realised that, but also he is into a horrible phase of getting v stroppy instantly when something doesn't suit him, i.e. stopping tv for mealtimes Hmm
Hoping it's just a phase but both DH & I getting fed up with the rudeness/tantrums. He never really had tantrums/terrible 2's, so maybe we're just getting it now...

Anon we have a tiny pond, about a metre by metre and half. Last year we had loads of frog spawn and I regularly saw 5 -7 frogs sunbathing and then eventually the tiny froglets. So I am thrilled with it, dug it myself an'all. I keep hoping for toad spawn but not seen any yet although I do see toads in the garden.

JustKeepSwimming · 26/02/2011 17:43

Mini - sounds lovely, in a way, i actually find frogs/toads quite scary Blush mostly as the cats bring them in alive and then i have to deal with them/rescue them to get them out & they do that leaping about thing!!

Yes a bit unpredicatable but not as scary as spiders.

JustKeepSwimming · 26/02/2011 19:42

You're so right, spiders are top of my scary beast list! Though, in a bizarre way little ones i'm getting better with, whereas even a small frog in my house is too much!

Hello :)

Have been so lazy today. I fell asleep last night just after we put DS to bed, and then woke up at 1am when DH came to bed. I didn't get back to sleep until 5.30am!! So DH took DS into town for lunch and a haircut and library while I had a nap and lolled about in bed reading.
DS is in bed, DH has gone out to a car meet-up thing Hmm and I'm plonked on the sofa with pizza and there is a tub of Ben and Jerry's in the freezer. Really shouldn't be having it, so bad for the blood sugar, but one evening won't hurt.

JustKeepSwimming · 27/02/2011 13:53

Hope everyone is having a good Sunday, we've been swimming, then i had a bath & a nap. The boys do all the rushing around yet they're still lively whilst i crashed out Hmm

Hello!

All fine here. Been having a bit of a general tidy up. DD was, apparently helping me, in the playroom. Great I think, good girl. I then leave the playroom to find her shredding cardboard and with pens all over her bedroom floor. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

I kind of lost it a little bit!!!

Anyway, there is now some semblance of order.

Roast Chick has just gone in the oven.

Spuds are par boiling.

And..... relax. Smile

Good news though is that dd has had two dry nappyless nights! Thought we'd never get there tbh.
