We've had a lovely weekend with some friends - knackering though because their house isn't very childproof and so we were constantly hopping up and down rescuing things from DS and vice versa. Yummy lunch out yesterday at a Michelin * place - ate far too much and then couldn't really sleep last night because I was still trying to digest it all. Baby wasn't impressed I don't think! :)
I am off down to see my parents and stay over tomorrow because DH is away with work [wuss emoticon]
No lists really, but I have unpacked and already started re-packing - and also had the obligatory 'Alibaba where have you hidden my passport' discussion that takes place between DH and I the night before every business trip he goes on Bloody man.

Ooh - and my friend has asked me to be a bridesmaid! Which is very exciting but I'm a bit nervous because DC2 will only be 5 months old and I will need to be BFing still which makes dresses complicated. I might see if I can wangle a matron-of-honour job and pick my own frock that I can whip a boob out of

Good morning all! Am feeling all alive again (just!) though did horribly oversleep... normally my "DC alarm clock" has me up at 7, but as they were both exhausted after yesterday's exertions, it was 7.40 before we woke... and we leave the house (supposedly!) by 8.15 at the very latest.
So bit less tired, emotional and sunburnt.. house still frightful tip though! The housework fairy did NOT come overnight

I am impressed with your ebaying. I am hoping to join my friend on a stall at the local baby and toddler stuff sale as have some nice stuff that has hardly been used, but it depends on DH work.

Just hiding upstairs with F (feeding), while DH is on his lunchbreak and can look after DD. Just needed some quiet time as i feel really stressed at the moment.

Going to write an 'ongoing' list of small jobs that need doing but get left due to time/cba etc, with the view that if i have a couple of spare minutes and can do one of the small jobs then it is going to help in the long run.

Mini - it is intimidating to start with, but actually quite simple.
I break it down into stages otherwise i never do it (well even then it takes me a while!):

• photos of everything & uploaded onto laptop
• weigh everything (have a list of all items obv which i write weights onto)
• check Royal Mail website for 2nd class postage costs (i only ever cahrge for postage as i always try to have a stash of jiffy bags i can reuse so i don't tend to make money on the postage, just cover myself)
• then look up completed listings of same/similar items just to reassure myself that they will sell
• list, add photo, postage cost, quick description - i'm not into flowery colourful, bordered listings myself, takes too long, just straight and to the point

I always allow for collection, say i will combine postage for multiple items, any questions please ask, type thing.

I have mostly sold toys (duplicates of they didn't get played with much), some old PC games, some smarter clothes (generally have to have a good label), etc.
I always start with a really low start price, 0.99 as anything helps when i start buying crap more toys for the boys :)

Mini, I can only reiterate what JKS says about ebaying (though she is distinctly more systematic in her approach than I am!). However I strongly recommend you are well past your migraine (poor you) as ebaying is not something to do unless you are really up for it... more likely to give you a headache/make it worse for sure.

Freaki - glad I'm not the only one who does that "argument in the head" thing. DS actually caught me having an argument OUT LOUD yesterday. Problem was, I was the only person there!!!

ANon - good news re builders. DH works away most weeks Mon-Wed or Mon-Thurs, last week was M-T and this week too. So not back until late-ish Thurs night. I don't mind, sort of, when things just trot along as they should, life is peaceful & quiet. But when anything is 'off routine' i get a bit desperate for him to come home!
