Denby- worth investing?

I’ve bought my DD a few Denby crockery pieces from TKMaxx as she is hopefully buying her first flat soon.
just wondering if I should buy her a full set? It’s nearly half price. Is it worth the investment?

I just spent my £268 of Tesco vouchers on a 16 piece Azure entertaining dinner set and a single large Azure mug. As well as the vouchers, Denby have an extra 10% off for Clubcard customers.

Sweet. I didn't even need to get married!

My current crockery comprises some M&S dinner plates that belonged to my late Mum and a load of white bowls and small plates of varying quality and chip state.

Just an update- my daughter really loves the Denby set! Yay!

Fab news!! Denby is brilliant in my experience

Not keen on a matching set idea. I like to choose plates - usually by size to fit in the dishwasher and bowls need to be big enough for pasta and mugs - hate cups, need to be big with good sized handles and thin rimmed etc - I imagine one complete set would involve compromises that would annoy me and it’s a bit old fashioned - get her what she wants.

Do the dinner plates fit in the dishwasher ok as the plates are quite deep with that lip.

The ones with a flat rim (Greenwich style) definitely are fine in dishwashers.

Thank you, I was looking at the Azure range but seem to be the same thickness (30mm)
Can I ask the make of your dishwasher

MrsW9 · 04/02/2024 10:02

I have what I think of as the 'normal' dinner plates (in Regency Green) and have fitted fine in the three dishwashers I've had (Bosch, Hotpoint, Beko).

If you have Tesco vouchers you can spend them at denby for triple their value - saved us loads!

I did this when we replaced our kitchen-full set of this for “free”https://www.denbypottery.com/jm-everyday

As the parent of an adult child, buy her what she’s asked for…

It's an old thread...OP has already bought the plates!

I’m aware this is an old thread, but.

I invested in a full set of their Natural Canvas last year. On paying they took my email address so that if it ever gets discontinued, they will give me a years notice, giving me plenty of time to collect or replace anything I need before it goes.

Jut thought that might be helpful to someone. And maybe it can be done retrospectively, if that’s the correct word?
